  • In all Mathematics I Textbooks(Kim, S. H., 2010; Kim, H. K., 2010; Yang, S. K., 2010; Woo, M. H., 2010; Woo, J. H., 2010; You, H. C., 2010; Youn, J. H., 2010; Lee, K. S., 2010; Lee, D. W., 2010; Lee, M. K., 2010; Lee, J. Y., 2010; Jung, S. K., 2010; Choi, Y. J., 2010; Huang, S. K., 2010; Huang, S. W., 2010) in high schools in Korea these days, it is written and taught that for a positive real number $a$, $a^{\frac{m}{n}}$ is defined as $a^{\frac{m}{n}}={^n}\sqrt{a^m}$, where $m{\in}\mathbb{Z}$ and $n{\in}\mathbb{N}$ have common prime factors. For that situation, the author shows his opinion that the definition is not well-defined and $a^{\frac{m}{n}}$ must be defined as $a^{\frac{m}{n}}=({^n}\sqrt{a})^m$, whenever $^n\sqrt{a}$ is defined, based on the field axiom of the real number system including rational number system and natural number system. And he shows that the following laws of exponents for reals: $$\{a^{r+s}=a^r{\cdot}a^s\\(a^r)^s=a^{rs}\\(ab)^r=a^rb^r$$ for $a$, $b$>0 and $s{\in}\mathbb{R}$ hold by the completeness axiom of the real number system and the laws of exponents for natural numbers, integers, rational numbers and real numbers are logically equivalent.

  • Making a international contract of sale is not a simple work. International Trade parties(seller and buyer) may choose trade terms such as FOB or CIF to simplify their contracts and avoid misunderstanding of international commercial practice. Incoterms is the international rules for the interpretation of the trade terms, and firstly regulated by the ICC in 1936. The latest version is Incoterms 2010. Incoterms 2010 governs certain responsibilities between the seller and the buyer under the international contract of sale. Moreover, Incoterms 2010 provides the standard of division of costs relating to contract of carriage. But we should note that Incoterms 2010 is not the part of contract of carriage. The writer points out that there is no consistence principle in distributing the special costs under the contract of carriage like unloading cost from the transport vehicle. To avoid the dispute between the parties, it is more safe for international traders to fully and completely understand on the customs and practice of carriage of goods. Incoterms 2010 provides more detailed method of delivery of goods than CISG and RAFTD. Concerning the method of delivery of goods, CISG and RAFTD simply provide that the seller shall place the goods at the discharge of buyers. The writer suggests the basic principles to allocate the special costs of delivery of goods according to the trade terms under Incoterms 2010.

Speaking Student Activism in the 2010s -Experience of Student Activism in the 1990s and 2010s and the Composition of 'We' (2010년대에 '학생운동' 말하기 -1990년대와 2010년대의 학생운동 경험 구술과 '우리'의 구성)

  • The article focuses on the student activism experience of the 1990s and 2010s and on the accumulation of everyday experiences created by the conditions of the 2010s against the backdrop of differences in how the composition of 'we' is portrayed in oral narrative. What stands out in the 90s oral narratives on student activism experiences, which were compiled in the 2010s, is the distancing of the culture of student activism at that time. In the words of speakers who experienced university life in the 1990s, the culture of student activism at the university was created through private relationships, and was, needless to say, considered 'natural'. At the same time, however, the 'natural' is said to be 'abnormal' or 'strange' in the context of the 2010s in which it is being talked about, and is meant to be an experience with a certain distance from the present speakers. This aspect is associated with the conditions under which the experience of the 90s is being described in the 2010s. The present, which explains past experiences to speakers, was explained after the 2016 candlelight protest and Gangnam Station femicide protest, and is described as a world that is qualitatively different from before, and is located as an opportunity to create a critical distance from past experiences. This qualitative change, which raises suspicions about the homogenous "we", is based on a newly acquired sense of gender sensitivity, living since the mid-2010s, when gentler issues were the biggest topic in Korean society, among others. In the 2010s, the composition of 'we' is no longer understood as a community of people who share any commonality, but as individuals who unite despite numerous differences. This reveals the experiences of those who have already embodied this in their everyday senses in the 2010s. The 'we' they formed should have nothing to do with private relationships, nor was homogeneity considered the most prominent group, so it was nothing that could explain the 'me' at the time of the demonstration and outside of the venue. It was in that context that the relevant experience was described in a cautious manner throughout. This, in turn, raises the need to ask and understand a new sense of student activism and, moreover, social movements and the sense of unity as 'we'. It should also be asked who is the main body of the movement and what is the use of asking it. Soon, the need and meaning of defining the fixed identity of 'we' in the movement should be questioned. Therefore, it should be asked what fixed positions or coordinates can really represent someone's position.

  • The Incoterms(R) 2010 rules take account of the continued spread of customs-free zones, the increased use of electronic communications in business transactions, heightened concern about security in the movement of goods and changes in transport practices. And the Guide to Incoterms(R) 2010 is the authoritative companion work to Incoterms(R) 2010, the ICC rules on the use of domestic and international trade terms. The guide responds to business needs for a better understanding of these ICC rules that are used in countless commercial transactions every day. But, contrary to the previous guidebook, there is many errors and mistake in the Guide to Incoterms(R) 2010 which should be amended. The purpose of this paper is to point out the problems and amend the errors and unify the expression in guidebook.

  • Since the 9.11 terror attack, the event which caused supply chain disruption, supply chain security has become more important than ever before. With this as a momentum, a customs supply chain security paradigm emerged intended to guarantee secure flow of cargo across boarder. Under this circumstances Incoterms(R) 2010 rules have allocated obligations between the buyer and seller to obtain or to render assistances in obtaining security clearances. Thus, security related obligations such as providing advance manifest information is the mandatory requirements for any export and import. The impact on the seller and buyer of security related obligations under the Incoterms(R) 2010 rules environment is obvious. Assistance to provide the security information in advance has become indispensable obligations to the seller and buyer. As such assistances is at the cost and risk of the party responsible for the clearances of the goods, the choice of recognised partner and compliance with the relevant security program, in order to enjoy the relevant benefits, becomes paramount.

  • In this article, the author have studied on main revisions and some recommendations of the Incoterms(R) 2010. Main revisions are as belows. 1. Two new Incoterms rules -DAT and DAP- have replaced the Incoterms 2000 rules DAF, DES, DEQ and DDU. 2. New classification of the Incoterms(R) 2010 are adopted. First class is Rules for any mode or modes of transport(EXW, FCA, CPT, CIP, DAT, DAP and DDP belong to this class.) and second class is rules for sea and inland waterway transport(FAS, FOB, CFR and CIF belong to this class.). 3. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules formally recognizes that they are available for application to both international and domestic sale contracts. 4. The Guidance Notes and Introduction are not part of the actual Incoterms(R) 2010 rules. 5. Under the FOB, CFR and CIF, all mention of the ship's rail as the point of delivery has been omitted in preference for the goods being delivered when they are "on board" the vessel. 6. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules include the obligation to 'procure goods shipped' as an alternative to the obligation to ship goods in the relevant Incoterms rules. 7. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules give electronic means of communication the same effect as paper communication. 8. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules have allocated obligations between the buyer and seller to obtain or to render assistance in obtaining security-related clearances. such as chain-of custody information. Some recommendations are as belows. 1. The parties must incorporate the Incoterms(R) 2010 rules into their contract of sale. 2. The parties must choose the appropriate Incoterms(R) 2010 rules. 3. Specify the place or port as precisely as possible in their contract of sale. 4. Remember that Incoterms(R) 2010 rules do not give the parties a complete contract of sale. 5. Incoterms(R) 2010 rules do not prohibit alteration of Incoterms rule, but there are dangers in so doings. In order to avoid any unwelcome surprises, the parties would need to make the intended effect of such alterations extremely clear in their contract.

  • INCOTERMS 2010 apply to the International Trade Contract for the last 5 years. The export trade condition and the document type for last 10 years was researched to analysis of the practical problems of INCOTERMS 2010 application. The result of the research; First, several rules which are against the official INCOTERMS 2010 rules are used. Second, the conventional rules like FAS FOB, CIF and CFR which are used for the ocean and inland transportation are applied without any changes. Third, the issue of the time of delivery(transfer of ownership) at the CPT and CIP affects not to activate these two rules. Fourth, the frequency of the DAT use is low. Because, the terminal designate is hard at the point of the contract and the terminal is changeable during the transport. According to these issues, the active publicity campaign is needed for the INCOTERMS 2010. And, the analysis of the terms and the solution of conflict are also needed.

  • 'VEC 2010' is a mid-long term scheme on the development of Vocational Education for Chung-buk which is to be accomplished by 2010. On the basis of this scheme, schools adopt 3-Type curriculum considering their conditions and covert themselves into specialized high school which is associated with local industry cluster. They also establish combined high schools which run various curriculums emphasizing basic vocational abilities so that they can meet the needs of demanders The activation plan of Chung-buk province vocational education is a dualized one which is for both ongoing education for entrance into a school of higher grade and the last education for employment, which is supposed to foster the human resources required by the knowledge-based society in the 21st century. The specific contents of 'VEC 2010' is as follows. First, VEC 2010 presents 2 kinds of mid-long term management system for industrial high schools: general industrial high school, specialized high school(single type, combined type). Second, VEC 2010 arranges and run the 3-Type of curriculum of Chung-buk province industrial high schools: employment-centered type, entering higher school-centered type, inaugurating enterprise-centered type. Third, VEC 2010 divides Chung-buk province industrial high schools into 4 districts and suggests mid-long term reorganization plan of system. Fourth, VEC 2010 suggests the substantial strategies of Chung-buk province vocational education: scholarship improvement in the vocational investigation course of the government-sponsored scholastic aptitude test, education for improving basic vocational abilities, substantial management of joint laboratory, administrative and financial support of development of specialized, licensed textbooks. reenforcement of career education.

  • The Incoterms, short for "International Commercial Terms," have been widely used as International Rules for the Interpretation of Trade Terms since 1936. The Incoterms have been revised six times in order to adapt them to contemporary commercial practice. The current version is Incoterms 2000. The revised version of Incoterms 2000 will be published in the fourth quarter of 2010 and will be effective from January 1st 2010. The first and second draft of Incoterms 2010 have been carried out by a small global Drafting Group, representing seven nationalities and various areas of substantive expertise. In this paper, I reviewed the main contents in the 2nd Draft of Incoterms 2010. This paper contributes to help the parties concerned to understand the new changes from Incoterms 2000 and to choose the appropriate trade term.
