The Study of Factors Influencing the Intention of Continuous Usage Using Augmented Reality Games: Comparative Analysis of Korean and Chinese Users

  • This study is to focuses on users' attitudes toward augmented reality games. Based on the Technology Acceptance Model (TAM) and Flow theory, continuous usage intention was set as a dependent variable, and immersion was set as a mediating variable. As independent variables, spatial presence, perceived interactivity, perceived pleasure, and sickness were set. Besides, this study strived to compare and analyze Korean and Chinese Data. The results of this study were as follows. First of all, Korean users significantly affected spatial presence, perceived pleasure, and immersion. Spatial presence and perceived pleasure had also mediated effects on continuous usage intention through immersion. However, perceived interactivity and sickness did not affect immersion and even no mediating effect to continuous usage intention. In the case of Chinese users, spatial presence, perceived interactivity, and perceived pleasure were grouped into one variable. This variable influenced immersion and also had mediated effect on continuous usage intention. However, sickness, like Korean users, did not affect the set path. This study had implications for analyzing user perspective using immersion, a significant variable in previous research. In addition, this study found similarities and characteristics through a comparative analysis between Korean and Chinese users indirectly.

The Relationship among Characteristics of Fashion Influencers, Relationship Immersion, and Purchase Intention

  • Purpose: As the digital environment has expanded opportunity for consumers to acquire information from social media and social network services(SNS), With this environment, influencer has not only promoted products, but also participated in distribution and influencing on their followers. Despite the increasing interest in influencers, there has not been enough research on the structure of fashion influencer, relationship of immersion and purchase intention. This study examined the effects of fashion influencers' characteristics to the immersion of relationship with followers and purchase intention. Research design, data and methodology: For data collection, a pilot survey and the final survey were conducted. The pilot survey data was conducted to 50 female SNS users following fashion influencers. Based on the pilot tests, questionnaire was revised and the final survey was conducted online from august 22 to September 1, 2019 to female SNS users who have followed fashion influencer. A total of 408 data were collected, and exploratory factor analysis, correlation analysis, and structural equational modeling techniques were employed for the data analyses using AMOS 26.0 and SPSS 26.0. Results: First, five factors were extracted for the fashion influencers' characteristics: interactivity, similarity, reliability, expertise and attractiveness. Second, fashion influences' reliability, expertise, similarity, interactivity have a positive (+) effects on relationship immersion; however, attractiveness has no effect on relationship immersion with followers and fashion influencer. It was also determined that relationship immersion had positive (+) influences on purchase intention. The relationship immersion has been found to have a partially mediated effect and similarity has complete mediated effects between interactivity, reliability, and expertise of fashion influencers and purchasing intentions. In terms of fashion opinion leadership, it was found to have a significant influence on purchase intention only for low fashion leadership groups. Conclusions: The present study found the structural relationships among the influencer characteristics, relationship immersion and purchase intentions to provide framework for succeeding research. This research revealed academic association of intention of purchasing through use of fashion social media and fashion influencer marketing. The results also showed the practical implications that fashion influencers' expertise and reliability perceived by their followers are key determinants to success in influencer marketing.

인터랙티브 아트에서의 몰입측정 방법 제안 (Proposal on Immersion Assessment of Interactive Art)

  • 인터렉티브 아트는 관람객들과 상호 작용을 전제로 예술 작품을 구현하는 것으로 가상성, 몰입성, 상호작용성을 특징으로 한다. 그에 따라 관람객이 작품으로 몰입하게 하는 연구는 매우 중요하다. 현재까지 인터렉티브 아트분야에서, 몰입을 측정하기 위해서는 주로 설문지나 인터뷰, 정신 생리학적인 방법을 이용하였다. 그러나 이 방법들은 작품 관람 이후에 진행되어져서 정확한 몰입 측정이 어려우며 작품 관람에 방해를 줄 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 이를 개선하기 위해서 모바일 기기와 카메라를 이용하여 관람객들의 동선을 파악하고 관람시간을 중심으로 한 몰입 측정 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문은 작품의 몰입 정도를 파악하는데 도움을 제공한다.

증강현실(Augmented Reality)게임 지속사용의도에 영향을 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 몰입감을 매개변수로 (Factors Influencing the Intention for Continuous Use of Augmented Reality Games: Immersion as a Mediating Variable)

  • This study is about Augmented Reality Game (AR Game) applied to Pokemon Go, which has recently been a sensational game. We focused on and analyzed the intention for continuous use as a dependent variable. We made hypotheses through previous studies and used spatial presence, perceived interactivity, perceived pleasure, and sickness as independent variables. Immersion was set up as a mediating variable. We conducted the study using 198 data, which people who experienced AR games responded. The results were as follows. First, spatial presence and perceived pleasure were found to have a significant effect on immersion, as in previous studies. Second, the relationship between sickness and immersion, which were shown to have a negative relationship in previous studies, we found that variables had a positive relationship unlike previous studies and rejected the hypothesis. Third, perceived interactivity, which is one of the crucial variables to affect the intention for continuous use, we found not to have a significant relationship among perceived interactivity, immersion, and the intention for continuous use. This result is opposite from previous studies, and further research on this issue is expected. We conducted this study with an individual user's view on immersion and the intention for continuous use rather than focusing on technical or political topics. Besides, this study has a significance that drew different results from previous studies and explored people who relish AR games with the characteristics of personal variables.

AR 뉴스의 특성이 수용자의 몰입도 및 정보습득에 미치는 영향 - 중국의 재해, 스포츠 보도를 중심으로 (The Effect of Augmented Reality Journalism on Immersion and Information Acquisition in Chinese Disaster and Sports News)

  • 증강현실(Augmented Reality: AR)기술은 의료, 교육, 마케팅, 그리고 저널리즘 등 더욱더 다양한 분야에서 활용되고 있다. 본 연구는 2(영상 기술: AR 뉴스, 일반 뉴스) × 2(뉴스 종류: 재난, 스포츠) 피험자 간 실험을 통해 AR 뉴스의 세 가지 특성(시각적 이미지, 스토리텔링, 상호작용성)에 대한 평가가 수용자의 몰입도와 정보습득에 미치는 영향을 알아보고자 한다. 연구 결과, AR 뉴스의 세 가지 특성에 대한 평가가 일반 뉴스에 대한 평가보다 높았다. 또한, 뉴스 종류와 상관없이 AR 뉴스의 스토리텔링과 상호작용성에 대한 평가가 수용자 몰입도에 정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났지만, 시각적 이미지에 대한 평가는 수용자 몰입도에 유의한 영향을 미치지 않았다. 뉴스 종류와 상관없이 AR 뉴스 시청 후 정보습득이 일반 뉴스보다 높았지만, AR 뉴스의 세 가지 특성에 대한 평가는 정보습득에 영향을 미치지는 않는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과들은 AR 뉴스의 향후 발전을 위한 실용적인 전략 수립에 활용될 수 있다는 점에서 시사점을 지닌다.

라이브 커머스의 IT 어포던스가 상호작용성과 몰입감, 구매 의도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Live Commerce's IT Affordance on Interactivity, Immersion, and Purchase Intention)

  • 실시간 온라인 방송이 다양한 플랫폼을 통해 보급되면서 전 세계적으로 큰 인기를 끌고 있다. 특히 코로나 19 대유행으로 인해 사회적 거리두기가 시행됨에 따라 국내 온라인 쇼핑 분야에서 전례 없는 성장세를 보여주고 있다. 본 연구는 IT 어포던스의 관점에서 라이브 커머스의 디지털 플랫폼 차원의 기술 어포던스 특성이 이용자의 상호작용성과 몰입감을 매개로 구매 의도에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 살펴보고자 했다. 이를 위해, 국내 라이브 커머스 이용 경험자 440명을 대상으로 온라인 설문조사를 실시하였다. 수집된 자료는 확인적 요인분석과 구조방정식모형을 실시하여 분석하였다. 연구 결과 플랫폼의 메타보이싱과 쇼핑가이드 특성을 높게 인지할수록 이용자의 상호작용성은 높아지는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 제품에 관한 가시성이 뛰어나다고 느낄수록 이용자는 쇼핑 상황에 더 몰입하는 것으로 밝혀졌다. 나아가 상호작용성과 몰입감은 매개 변수로서 IT 어포던스 특성이 구매 의도에 미치는 영향에 중요한 역할을 수행하는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과를 바탕으로 라이브 커머스 마케팅 전략 수립을 위한 이론적·실무적 시사점을 제시하였다.

VR뉴스의 이용자 효과에 관한 연구 (A Study of VR News Characteristics on User's Effect: Focused on Recall, Understanding, Enjoyment, Visual Fatigue and Resue Intention)

  • 본 연구는 VR뉴스 속성이 이용자 효과 측면에서 VR뉴스에 대한 기억과 이해도, 즐거움, 눈의 피로도, 그리고 재이용의도에 미치는 영향을 실험연구를 통해 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 SPSS 21.0 프로그램과 AMOS 21.0 프로그램을 활용하여 탐색적 요인분석, 확인적 요인분석, 신뢰도분석, 상관관계분석, 그리고 경로분석을 통해 주요 결과를 도출하였다. 그 결과를 제시하면 다음과 같다. 첫째, VR뉴스 속성 중 실재감과 몰입감은 이용자들의 VR뉴스에 대한 기억에 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 실재감과 상호작용, 몰입감 모두가 이용자의 VR뉴스 이해도에 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 실재감과 상호작용, 몰입감 모두 즐거움에 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 실재감이 눈의 피로도에 통계적으로 유의한 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 실재감과 몰입감이 재이용의도에 통계적으로 유의한 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구의 결과는 VR뉴스의 속성과 이용자 효과를 이해하는데 있어 중요한 시사점을 제공해줄 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

Relationship between Content Characteristics, Immersion, and Customer Purchase Intention in Live-streaming Commerce

  • Purpose: This study examines the relationship between content characteristics and customer viewing and purchase intention in live-streaming commerce. Research design, data, and methodology: For this purpose, seven independent factors such as entertainment, artistry, storytelling, informativity, interactivity, reliability, and technicality are extracted based on previous literature. The viewing intention and purchase intention are adopted as dependent factors. The role of 'immersion' is investigated as a mediating factor between the independent and dependent factors. Results: The results showed that entertainment, artistry, technicality, and reliability significantly affected immersion, and immersion affected viewing intention and purchase intention. Immersion was found to play a mediating role between content characteristics and consumer viewing and purchase intention. Conclusions: The results indicate that the content characteristics not only attract customers but also affect their immersion, viewing intention, and purchase intention directly or indirectly in the live-streaming commerce sector.

  • In theese day, games are often referred as the most potential media to have artistic and entertaining features of digital technology, In this study, used to derive the factors of enjoyment and immersion that users experience from interaction and narrative levels in games were derived The framework of interaction and narrative levels in games was adopted from Marie-Laure Ryan's(2002) and Hyewon Han's(2005) study. The framework was used as the basic instrument for focus group interviews. The result of this study provides a practical model for game-design.

패션 브랜드의 증강현실(AR) 콘텐츠 유형 및 특성 (Classification and Characteristics of Augmented Reality Contents of Fashion Brands)

  • This study investigated the classification and characteristics of augmented reality (AR) content of fashion brands. The AR contents of fashion brands were classified according to user participation space and content delivery method. Based on these types, eight case studies were conducted, along with a discussion of AR characteristics in terms of presence, interactivity, and immersion. The results showed that AR content could be divided into four types: offline visit-external information type, offline visit-internal experience type, online utilization-external information type, and online utilization-internal experience type. It was also found that there were differences in characteristics for each type of AR content. First, the offline visit-external information type requires various new content that can provide entertainment immersion to users. Second, the offline visit-internal experience type requires a powerful inducement for users to visit a specific space providing AR content and to participate in augmented environments. Third, the online utilization-external information type needs a series of AR content that can consistently incite users' curiosity about brands and products. Fourth, the online utilization-internal experience type needs effective content to improve users' shopping experience with the virtual fitting of fashion accessories, such as eyewear, hats, jewelry, and watches. Accordingly, fashion companies should create contents that can provide appropriate presence, interactivity, and immersion by AR type.
