Multiple revolution Lunar Trajectory Design using Impulsive Thrust

  • The direct way to the moon is to start from the parking orbit by using impulsive thruster In previous domestic research, the direct way has been studied by using a single impulsive shot. However, when a single impulsive shot occurs to go into a Translunar orbit, gravity losses occur because thruster is not impulsive shot but the finite burns and it causes the gravity losses. To make up for the weak point of a single impulsive shot, this paper divides TLI (Trans Lunar Injection) into several small burns. Therefore, departure loop trajectory and the Translunar trajectory. This method is useful not only to reduce the gravity losses but also to check the condition of satellite. By using this method, this paper demostrates the optimized trajectory from Earth parking orbit to lunar mission orbit which minimizes the fuel, and the SNOPT (Sparse Nonlinear OPTimizer software) is used to find optimal solution. Also, this paper provides lunar mission profile which includes the mission schedule when TLI, LOI (Lunar Orbit Insertion) maneuvers occur, a mount of fuel when thruster is used and other mission parameters.

열차가 터널에 진입할 때 발생하는 압축파에 대한 수치해석 (A Numerical Study on the Compression Wave Generated by the Train Entering a Tunnel)

  • The numerical simulations on the train entering a tunnel were performed by solving unsteady axi-symmetric problems. In the case that 5th order velocity profile is used to reduce the effects of the pressure wave generated by the train starting abruptly, the effect of the initial distance between the train and the tunnel were examined. The impulsive start gives undesired pressure disturbances to the flow field including inside the tunnel. But 5th order velocity profile with initial distance more than 80 m gives much stable pressure variance in time, and pressure distribution inside the tunnel in space. The distance to the train reaches the highest running velocity from the start should be more than 80 m when the train speed is 350 km/h.

  • Vortex methods were originally conceived as a tool to model the evolution of unsteady, incompressible, high Reynolds number flows of engineering interest. Recently various methods have been proposed for simulating the diffusion in vortex methods for two-dimensional incompressible flows. We test the diffusion schemes of vortex methods. In this paper we directly compare the particle strength exchange scheme with the vorticity redistribution scheme in tenus of their accuracy and computational efficiency. Comparisons between both viscous models described are presented for short-time runs of impulsively started flows past a circular cylinder for Reynolds number of 60. The particle strength exchange scheme has been shown more accurate and efficient than the vorticity redistribution scheme.

급 출발하는 반원형 실린더에 의한 초기 후류거동의 시뮬레이션 (Simulations of the early wake behavior induced by an impulsively started a semicircualr cylinder)

  • The time-development of the wake vortices of the unsteady viscous flow past a semicircular cylinder is simulated using the vortex particle methods for direct numerical simulations(DNS). The early wake behaviour of the flow behind an impulsively started a semicircualr cylinder is evaluated for a range of Reynolds numbers between 60 and 200 with opposite body configurations respectively. The diffusion scheme based on the particle strength exchange(PSE) is used to account far the viscous effect accurately. And the vorticity generation algorithm to enforce the no-slip boundary conditions is employed. In order to redistribute particles efficiently on the distorted Lagrangian grid the particle distribution technique is adaptively revised, while maintaining the uniform resolution. The results of the simulations are compared to other experimental results.

중개궤도를 이용한 지구-달 천이궤적의 설계 및 분석 (The Earth-Moon Transfer Trajectory Design and Analysis using Intermediate Loop Orbits)

  • 이 연구에서는 미래 한국의 달 탐사에 대비, 지구-달 천이궤적을 설계하고 분석하였다. 궤적 설계는 최소연료로 지구 주차궤도에서부터 달 임무궤도까지 도달하는 모든 단계에 대해서 실시하였으며 미래 한국의 달 탐사 개발 계획에 실질적인 도움이 되기 위해 2017년, 2020년, 2022년으로 각각 나누어 설계를 하였다. 탐사선의 운동방정식의 구현을 위하여 태양, 지구, 달의 중력에 의한 섭동력이 포함된 N체 운동 방정식을 사용하였으며 보다 실질적인 우주환경의 모사를 위하여 지구의 비대칭 중력장(Geopotential), 태양 복사압(Solar radiation pressure) 그리고 달의 J2 섭동에 의한 영향도 고려하였다. 임무 설계를 위해 가정된 추력은 순간 추력(Impulsive thrust)으로 가정하였으며 발사체의 성능은 현재 개발 예정인 KSLV-2로 가정하였다. 미래 한국의 가상 달 탐사선이 지구-달 천이 궤적(Trans Lunar trajectory)에 진입하는 방법으로는 지구 주차 궤도에서 직접 진입 하는 방법과 여러번의 타원 중개 궤도를 거친 후 지구-달 천이 궤적으로 진입하는 방법을 모두 이용하였다. 아울러 TLI(Trans Lunar Injection) 기동시 탐사선의 대전 지상국에서의 가시성에 따른 기동의 크기에 대한 영향이 분석되었다. 이 연구를 통한 임무 설계 결과는 달 탐사 임무 설계를 위한 발사 가능 시기(launch opportunity), 성공적인 임무 수행을 위한 임무 단계별 최적의 기동량 및 해당 궤도의 특성 그리고 다양한 임무 파라미터등의 해석을 포함하고 있다. 임무 설계 결과, 미래 한국이 쏘아 올릴 수 있는 달 탐사선의 전체 질량은 해당 임무의 수행시기 보다는 초기 지구 출발 궤도의 초기 고도와 발사제의 초기 궤도 투입 성능에 따라 더욱 크게 좌우됨을 확인하였다.

급 출발하는 정방실린더 후류의 비정상 점성유동의 초기거동 (The Early Stage Behavior of Unsteady Viscous Flows past an Impulsively Started Square Cylinder)

  • High-resolution simulations using vortex methods have been performed for simulating unsteady viscous flows around an impulsively started square cylinder. In order to investigate the phenomenon from laminar to transition flow, simulations are performed for Reynolds numbers 25, 50, 150 and 250. At extremely low Reynolds number, flow around a square cylinder is known to separate at the trailing edges rather than the leading edges. With an increase of Reynolds number, the flow separation at the leading edges will be developed. The main flow characteristics of developing recirculation region and separations from leading and trailing edges are studied with the unsteady behavior of the wake after the cylinder starts impulsively. A notable change in the flow evolution is found at Re=150, that is, it is shown that the flow separations begin at both leading and trailing edges of the square cylinder. On the other hand, when Re=250, the strong secondary vorticity from the rear surfaces of the square cylinder increases the drag coefficient as the primary vortex layer is pushed outwards. The comparisons between results of the present study and experimental data show a good consistency.

남성잡지Maxim 표지모델에 나타난 섹슈얼이미지에 관한 연구 (Study on Sexual Images on the Cover of Maxim Men's Magazine)

  • There are lots of sexual images in the contemporary media, and this is due to many of the media formats, such as television, magazines, and the Internet, using these images to relay various messages to the people. The media uses these sexual images (i.e. woman in a bikini) in order to use sex and eroticism as a marketing tool to the audience. Unlike other men's magazines, which actually have many female readers, Maxim magazine's readers are made of mostly men, and because of this, their magazine covers are usually filled with sexy women celebrities, such as singers or actors; images that can attract the general men. This study puts its focus on evaluating Maxim magazine's marketing strategy. The strategy of targeting men in their 20's and 30's, who were not interested in reading, but were impulsive and visually oriented. The study looked at magazine covers from November 2002 (the start of the magazine) to October 2008 (the peak period of its sales), and a total of 72 images were analyzed. For each image, 5 things were recorded (model's occupation, clothing style, hairstyle, makeup, pose and gaze).

초등학교 고학년의 뷰티제품 사용실태와 소비행동 (Use of Beauty Products and their Consumption: A Behavioral Research in the Higher Grades of Elementary schools)

  • This study is conducted in grades 4, 5, and6 of Elementary schools located in Seoul. The results would be recognized by the Consumer Behavior Survey and the Use of Beauty. Students in the higher grades of elementary schools are exposed to beauty products for the first time. This is a crucial age, where they start becoming interested in their appearance. This behavior is being exploited to increase the desire to use beauty products. Although the initial use is self-motivated, choosing a quality product is highly influenced by peers, reasonable pricing, and internet impact. The higher the grade of the elementary school, we observed an increase in this trust and impulsiveness in the consumer behavior. More than 2 million students spent considerable amounts of money, and showed trends of consumer behavior of the impulsive type. The results of this study can provide a significant base to further study trends of beauty usage in higher grades of elementary schools, and give an indication of the consumer behavior based on the beauty culture and use of health products.

고차 스펙트럴법에 의한 2차원 수치 파수조 개발에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Development of 2-Dimensional Numerical Wave Tank by the High-Order Spectral Method)

  • 본 연구에서는 Dommermuth and Yue(1987)의 고차 스펙트럴법에 새로이 물체 포텐셜을 도입하여 물체와 자유표면과의 비선형 상호작용 문제를 다룰 수 있는 새로운 수치해법을 개발하였다. 또한, 이를 이용한 2차원 수치 파수조(numerical wave tank)에서 잠수 주상체의 조파저항문제와 규칙파군을 얻기 위한 조파 및 소파문제를 적용예로 다루었다. 계산예들을 통하여 초기의 물체운동이 급격히 시작되면 상당한 과도파를 유발하여 유용한 결과를 얻는데 실제적인 장애가 됨을 보였고, 초기의 점진적인 구동에 의해 이를 억제할 수 있음을 보였다. 본 수치해법은 자유표면의 분할요소수를 N이라 할때 계산량이 NlogN에 비례하여 증가하는 매우 효율적인 수치해법이며, 앞으로 그 활용이 기대 된다.

수중 아-크 방전음원에 관한 연구 (ARC Discharge Sound Source in Underwater)

  • 고압변압기의 1차측을 제어하고 2차측에 유도된 전압을 이용한 수중방전음원의 전기음향학적 제특성을 분석.검사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 1. 방전시 2차측 전류는 초기에는 Ohm 법칙을 따르다가 전류가 최고 6.3A 흘러 절연 파괴되었으며, 그 순간 방전음이 생성되었다. 2. 전류인가점과 방전음 생성문의 시간차는 약 3ms였으며, 전압이 최고일 때 절연파괴가 일어나 방전음이 생성되었다. 3. 전극의 끝이 뾰족할수록 2차측 전압이 높을수록 음압수준은 높았다. 4. 뾰족한 형태의 전극은 전극간격이 100cm일 때도 방전이 일어났으며 전극간격이 1cm이상부터 비교적 안정된 방전음이 생성되었다. 5. 방전음의 펄스폭은 약 0.15ms인 Shock Wave였으며, 10HKz 이하의 합성저주파 성분이었다.
