  • After the expiration of operating license of a plant, all infrastructures within the plant must be safely dismantled to the point that it no longer requires measures for radiation protection. Despite the fact that Kori 1 and Wolsong 1 are close to the expiration of their operating license, sufficient technologies for radiological characterization, decontamination and dismantling is still under development. The purpose of this study is to develop one of methods for radiological inventory assessment on measuring object by using direct measure of large component with In-Situ measurement technique. Radiological inventory was assessed by analyzing nuclide using portable gamma spectroscopy without dismantling reactor head, and the result of direct measurement was supplemented by performing indirect measurement. Radiochemical analysis were performed on surface contamination samples as well. During the study, radiological inventory of reactor vessel calculated expanding the result. Based on the result and the radioactivity variation of each radionuclides time frame for decommissioning can be decided. Thus, it is expected that during the decommissioning of plants, the result of this study will contribute to the reduction of radiation exposure to workers.

  • The current study examines the relationship between inventory management efficiency and financial performance in Saudi Arabian companies. The study collected data from the companies listed on Tadawul (a Saudi Arabian stock exchange) during the period starting from 2016 and ending in 2020. The study uses pooled regression model by incorporating Return on Assets (ROA) and Inventory Turnover Ratio (ITR) as a performance measurement variable and inventory conversion period as an inventory management variable to report the results. The results show a positive and significant association between inventory management and firms' financial growth measured in terms of Return on Assets (ROA). Further, the study reports a positive and significant association between the inventory conversion period and inventory turnover (ITR). This shows that managing inventory efficiently shall positively impact the firm's performance. The other variables, such as debt ratio and gross profit, are positively related to ROA and negatively correlated with ITR. The firm growth is positively associated with both the dependent variables. The results suggest that the management of inventory in Saudi Arabian firms is efficient. Further, the firm size is positively associated with ROA and ITR. This shows a nexus between inventory management efficiency and firms' financial growth in Saudi Arabian companies.

  • Timber inventory management includes to measure and update forest attributes, which is crucial information for private companies and public organizations in property assessment and environment monitoring. Field measurement would be accurate, but time-consuming and inefficient. For the reason, remote sensing technology has been an alternative to field measurement from an economic perspective. Among several sensors, LiDAR and Radar interferometry are known for their efficiency for forest monitoring because they are less influenced by weather and light conditions, and provide reasonably accurate vertical/horizontal measurement for a large area in a short period. For example, Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM) and National Elevation Dataset (NED) in the U.S. can provide tree height information and DSM. On the other hand, LiDAR DSM (the first return) and DEM (the last return) can also present tree height estimation. With respect to project site of loblolly pine plantation in Louisiana in the U.S., the accuracy of SRTM C-Band approach estimating tree height was assessed by the LiDAR approaches. In addition, SRTM X-Band and NED were also compared with the results. Plantation year in inventory GIS, which is directly related to forest age, is high correlated with the difference between SRTM C-Band and NED. As a byproduct, several stands of age mismatch could be recognized using an outlier detection algorithm, and optical satellite image (ETM+) were used to verify the mismatch. The findings of this study were (1) the confirmation of usefulness of the SRTM DSM for forest monitoring and (2) Multi-sensors- Radar, LiDAR, ETM+, MODIS can be used for accuracy improvement of forest inventory GIS altogether.

  • This study is to organize the frame of measuring inventory for housing quality related to mental health in foreign literature reviews. In the first step, many housing quality contents or items are extracted from empirical studies, including housing environment quality and mental health. In the next step, extracted contents and items are classified by space scope (house and neighborhood unit) and WHO housing properties (safety & security, health & sanitation, efficiency/convenience, comfort/amenity). Almost all housing properties follow the WHO standard, but some properties, sustainability and economic characteristics, do not follow the standard. These reflect on current Korean housing environment. They are energy saving and environment friendly effort, property value and economic burden, identity expression, and school district. So they need to be added to the Korean housing quality measurement related to mental health.

  • The uncertainty assessment is important to improve the reliability of emission inventory data. The DARS (Data Attribute Rating System) have recommended as the uncertainty assessment technic of emission inventory by U.S. EPA (Environmental Protection Agency) EIIP (Emission Inventory Improvement Program). The DARS score is based on the perceived quality of the emission factor and activity data. Scores are assigned to four attributes; measurement/method, source specificity, spatial congruity and temporal congruity. The resulting emission factor and activity rate scores are combined to arrive at an overall confidence rating for the inventory. So DARS is believed to be a useful tool and may provide more information about inventories than the usual qualitative grading procedures (e.g. A through E). In this study, the uncertainty assessment for 2009 CAPSS (Clean Air Policy Support System) emission inventory is conducted by DARS. According to the result of this uncertainty assessment, the uncertainty for fugitive dust emission data is higher than other sources, the uncertainty of emission factor for surface coating is the highest value, and the uncertainty of activity data for motor cycle is the highest value. Also it is analysed that the improvement of uncertainty for activity data is as much important as the improvement for emission factor to upgrade the reliability of CAPSS emission inventory.

  • The relationship between the leaching and gap inventory of spent fuel has been studied. When a specimen of J44H08 spent PWR fuel with 38 GWD/MTU has been leached in the synthetic granitic groundwater in Ar atmosphere, the released fraction of cesium was increased rapidly up to 0.7% at around 500 days and stayed below 0.8% until 3 years. This 0.7% of cesium might be released from the gap in this fuel. The measurement of gap inventory with C15I08 spent PWR fuel, having 35 GWD/MTU and 0.22% of fission gas release, was also determined near 0.6% for the cesium, which is a similar fraction of cesium released from the leaching experiment with J44H08 fuel. Its gap inventories of strontium and iodine were about 0.03 and less than 0.2% respectively. Respective fractions of cesium and strontium in grain boundary of C15I08 were 0.78, 0.09%.

  • This study aims to validate the Korean Student Career Construction Inventory, a translated measure of career adaptation responses, with Korean college students. In order to do so, this study examines the relevant factor structure, internal consistency, test-retest reliability, criterion-related validity and measurement invariance between Korean undergraduate and graduate students. An online survey was completed by 294 participants, including the questions from the translated Korean Student Career Construction Inventory, in addition to measures of career adaptability and vocational identity. One hundred twenty five among the initial participants were tested again in three months for the examination of test-retest reliability. The results supported the four-factor structure of 18 items suggested by the original measure, as well as measurement invariance. The internal consistency and test-retest reliability were adequate. The Korean Student Career Construction Inventory was positively correlated with career adaptability, unidimensional vocational identity, and the dimensions of exploration and commitment of multidimensional vocational identity, but negatively with the dimension of reconsideration. The findings indicate that the Korean Student Career Construction Inventory has psychometric properties similar to the original form and can be used for both undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Forest inventory is a commercial term meaning the preparation of detailed descriptive list of articles with number, quantity and value of each item included. Forest inventory deals with the measurement of trees and stands, the estimation of their volume, growth prediction, biomass, carbon stocks and the description tree characteristics, as well as the land upon which they are growing. National Forest Inventory Center (NFIC) in Korea conducts national forest inventory every 5 years to obtain accurate baseline data for national forest policy. The permanent sample plot data used in were collected by NFI. The objective of this study was to develop methods for quantifying forest resources at national scale based on $5^{th}$ National Forest Inventory (NFI) data in Korea. Forest land area decreased from 6.44 to 6.38 million ha between 1997 and 2007, continuing a slight downward trend in area beginning in the late 1990s. However forest resources of the Korea have continued improving in general condition and quality, as measured by increased average size and volume of trees. Growing-stock volume of the Korea increased from 17 to 123.79 cubic meter per ha between 1976 and 2007. The biomass in Korea was estimated to be 153.81 tons per hectare and carbon stocks in Korea was estimated to be 84.36 tons per hectare by NFI data. This information is important for government officials, public administration, the private business sector, and the researcher. Forest Inventory should be implemented in a way to be able to monitor and assess the forests continuously.
