  • JVM(Java Virtual Machine) has GUI(Graphical User Interface) facility and Platform Independance and is used on the embedded device such as set-top box and smart phone. This needs JVM to execute Java application in the embedded device. CVM(Classic Virtual Machine) which is the kind of JVM is designed for embedded device to have limited resources. To support GUI facility of JAVA uses PBP(Personal Basis Profile) which is included on CVM. The PBP defines the GUI Stardard API to support GUI facility. When the GUI Stardard API is implemented, JNI(Java Native Interface) is used to connect between Java Native Method and Native function in Operating System. In this pater, PBP which is defined by CVM has designed and implemented on the Real-Time Operating System, iRTOS.

  • We have developed a biologist-friendly, stand-alone Java GUI application, IdBean, for ID conversion. Our tool integrated most of the widely used ID conversion services that provide programmatic access. It is the first GUI ID conversion application that supports the direct merging as well as comparison of conversion results from multiple ID conversion services without manual effort. This tool will greatly help biologists who handle multiple ID types for the analyses of gene or gene product lists. By referring to multiple conversion services, the number of failed IDs can be reduced. By accessing ID conversion service online, it will potentially provide the most up-to-date conversion results. The application was developed in modular form; however, it can be re-packaged into plug-in form. For the development of a bioinformatics analysis tool, the module can be used as a built-in ID conversion component. It is available at http://neon.gachon.ac.kr/IdBean/.

  • In this study, Automatic Speech Recognition Application System is designed and implemented to realize transformation from present GUI-centered web services to VUI-centered web service. Due to ASP's restriction with web in speed and implantation, in this study, Automatic Speech Recognition Application System with Java beans Component Architecture is devised and studied. Also the voice web browsing which is able to transfer voice and graphic information simultaneously is studied using Remote AWT(Abstract Windows Toolkit).

  • We have developed a biologist-friendly, Java GUI application (GoBean) for GO term enrichment analysis. It was designed to be a comprehensive and flexible GUI tool for GO term enrichment analysis, combining the merits of other programs and incorporating extensive graphic exploration of enrichment results. An intuitive user interface with multiple panels allows for extensive visual scrutiny of analysis results. The program includes many essential and useful features, such as enrichment analysis algorithms, multiple test correction methods, and versatile filtering of enriched GO terms for more focused analyses. A unique graphic interface reflecting the GO tree structure was devised to facilitate comparisons of multiple GO analysis results, which can provide valuable insights for biological interpretation. Additional features to enhance user convenience include built in ID conversion, evidence code-based gene-GO association filtering, set operations of gene lists and enriched GO terms, and user -provided data files. It is available at http://neon.gachon.ac.kr/GoBean/.

  • Manufacturing Message Specification (MMS) is designed as a communication standard protocol, ISO/IEC 9506, on factory automation for messaging between heterogeneous programmable unit controller, PLC, NC, Robot, of different vendors on the networks. MMS is also a standard protocol of OSI reference model application layer, In this paper, we show an implementation of MMS over TCP/IP using ANSI-C programming language on the unix environment, and make java classification using java native interface (NJI) with MMS library. The use of java classification provides a basic environment ot overcome a difficult programming with different MMS application programming interface (MMS-I) which requires a siklled programming technique of graphic user interface (GUI). In this paper, we implement a MMS application program of the automated assembly model for printed circuit board based on WWW which shows the operation, control and monitoring of real manufacturing device (RMD) with web browser providing users for consistent user interface.

  • This paper discusses the interacting mobile robots for tele-operation system using the world wide web. In multi-agent and web-based teleoperation environment the problem of communication delay must be solved for the efficient and robust control of the system. The standard graphic user interface(GUI)is implemented using Java Programing language. The web browser is used to integrate the virtual environment and the standard GUI(Java applet) in a single user interface. Users can access a dedicated WWWserver and download the user interface. Reinforcement learning is applied to indirect control in order to autonomously operate without the need of human intervention. Java application has been developed to communicate and control multi robots using WWW. The effectiveness of our multi robots system is verified by simulation and experiments ...

  • Reusable software component is an ultimate goal for the software development. Component based development is focused on advanced concepts rather than passive manipulation or class library with source codes. However, the primary component construction in component based development lead to an additional development cost and effort for reconstructing the new software component within a component model. Java application provides several features based on component model. But, we only have an opportunity to develop the smallest reuse units or the restricted set of GUI components. It cannot contributed as a component and only used in the specific domain component with high cost and efforts. In this paper, we apply java component model to the existing java application and extract javabeans through extending the component scalability. We also discuss the algorithm for transformation mechanism from legacy class to javabeans with a partial of business logic.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop an XML based GUI that can search for satellite image information which is converted to XML data format and stored in the database server on the web, and modify and reuse data. In order to implement these functions efficiently, we used a DOM interface of XML that increases the efficiency of accessing the document structure. We used HTML and Java script programming to facilitate this interface. The system was applied to the management system of satellite images in the Research Institute of SFC at Keio University. Our results confirmed the technical functionalities.
