LCD Embedded Hybrid Touch Screen Panel Based on a-Si:H TFT

  • A new hybrid-type touch screen panel (TSP) has been developed based on a-Si:H TFT which can detect the change of both $C_{LC}$ and photo-current. This TSP can detect the difference of $C_{LC}$ between touch and no-touch states in unfavorable conditions such as dark ambient light and shadows. The hybrid TSP sensor consists of a detection area which includes one TFT for photo sensing and two TFTs for amplification. Compared to a single internal capacitive TSP or an optical sensing TSP, this new proposed hybrid-type TSP enables larger sensing margin due to embedding of both optical and capacitive sensors.

  • AiPi technology incorporates an embedded clock and control scheme with a point-to-point bus topology, achieving the smallest possible number of interface lines between a timing controller and source drivers. A 46" AiPi-based 10-bit FHD prototype requires only 20 interface lines, compared to 38 lines for mini-LVDS. The measured maximum data rate per one data pair is more than 800Mbps.

  • A 30-inch WQXGA+ TFT-LCD Monitor has been developed based on in-plane switching mode with multi-domain. This product adopts Cu electrode which, in spite of low resistivity, was not applied to TFT LCD products because of productivity and reliability problems etc. This low resistivity material makes it possible to clear the problem caused by line delay in such high resolution TFT-LCDs. As a results of successful adoption of innovative materials and technologies, our world's largest TFT-LCD Monitor has best performance for high information display.

  • In this paper, to improve the well-known photo conductivity degradation of amorphous silicon, a new LASER immersion treatment has been applied. The optical feedback control LED backlighting system with integrated LCD panel sensor increased the color variation less than 0.008 ${\Delta}u'v'$ compared to 0.025 for a non-feedback system.

  • We made a high-efficiency lamp with same spec. as a normal lamp by improving physical constants of a lamp and then analyzed varied effects. By applying novel physical constants to an EEFL, we acquired decrease of lamp operating power and voltage.

  • We present an ultra-slim LCD module for 40-inch FHD TV. By employing edge-lit backlight system, module thickness of 10mm is achieved. To satisfy the luminance spec of 450 nits in FHD resolution, it is critical to adopt high efficient LED and optical components.

  • We have developed technology to fabricate large-size active matrix organic light-emitting diode (AMOLED) displays with good color purity. Using these innovations, we have developed a 40inch diagonal WXGA AMOLED full color display. Because the TFT circuitry occupies a large portion of the pixel structure, an efficient white emission OLED is essential to integrate the device onto the active matrix backplane. The development of these technologies enables OLED displays to fulfill the requirements for larger size applications such as HDTVs

  • 본 논문에서는 CAR AUDIO의 일반 Display인 SEG TYPE의 LCD의 대한 표현의 한계를 IPHONE(Smart Phone)의 Display를 이용하여 한계를 극복하는 방법에 대한 연구를 진행 했다. 일반 CAR AUDIO의 제한적인 Display를 많은 사람들이 이용하는 IPHONE(Smart Phone)의 LCD를 이용하여 표현할 수 있다. 일반적으로 용어를 CAR TO PHONE으로 명할 수 있다. CAR에 있는 모든 기능에 대한 Display를 IPHONE(SMART PHONE)의 DISPLAY에 phone용 APPLICATION을 사용하여 display 할 수 있다 IPHONE용 앱은 SEG LCD에서 할 수없는 특별한 UI&GUI를 가지고 있다.

  • 2-inch qVGA (240${\times}$320) TFT-LCD with integrated 6-bit source driver is reported. The pixel density is over than 200ppi and the operation frequency is about 2.8MHz. In order to improve TFT characteristics, TS-SLS (Two-Shot Sequential Lateral Solidification) technology has been employed. A 1:6 demultiplexing scheme has been successfully implemented in the source driver owing to the superb characteristics of the TS-SLS TFTs, which resulted in small driver circuit area.
