금속 적층 제조 격자 구조체의 공극 충진용 부착력 증진 반응성 아크릴 화합물에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on Enhancing Adhesion-Reactive Acrylic Compounds for Pore Filling in Additive Manufactured Metal Lattice Structures)

  • 본 연구에서는 금속 적층 제조로 출력한 격자 구조체의 내부 공극에 반응성 아크릴 화합물을 충진시켜, 밀도 제어가 가능한 밀실 복합 격자 구조체를 제작하는 것을 목표로 한다. 또한 본 격자 구조체를 건설분야에 적용하기 위하여 반응성 아클릴 화합물에 보통 포틀랜드 시멘트를 첨가함으로써 콘크리트와의 부착성능을 향상시킨 부착력 증진 반응성 아크릴 화합물을 검토하였다. 최종적으로 제조한 부착력 증진 반응성 아크릴 화합물을 격자 구조체 내부에 충진하여 밀도 제어형 기능성 복합 격자 구조체(Hybrid Lattice structure)의 비중, 흡수율 및 부착강도를 검토하였다. 그 결과, 밀도 제어 가능, 흡수율 1.0 % 이하 및 재령 1일 부착강도 1.78 MPa ~ 1.98 MPa의 결과물을 도출하였다.

  • FOD (foreign object debris)는 활주로 내의 항공기 운항과정에서 이에 위협을 가할 수 있는 모든 물질들을 총칭하는 단어이다. 과거 활주로 내에서 인적자원을 이용한 FOD 탐지 및 수거 방식은 효율성 및 경제성 면에서 매우 비효율적이기 때문에 국내에서 사용하기에 적합한 무인 FOD 탐지 시스템 개발이 필수적으로 요구되는 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 한서대학교 태안비행장에서 EO카메라 및 레이더를 이용한 고정형 FOD 자동 탐지 시스템과 이동형 FOD 자동 탐지 시스템을 연구 및 개발하고 고정형과 이동형 방식을 운용하여 조도 및 기상환경에 상관없이 비행장의 활주로 내 자동 FOD 탐지가 가능함을 확인하였다.

Encapsulation of Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG Using Milk Protein-Based Delivery Systems: Effects of Reaction Temperature and Holding Time on Their Physicochemical and Functional Properties

  • Microencapsulation is a protective process for materials that are sensitive to harsh conditions encounted during food manufacture and storage. The objectives of this research were to manufacture a milk protein-based delivery system (MPDS) containing Lactobacillus rhamnosus GG (LGG) using skim milk powder and to investigate the effects of manufacturing variables, such as reaction temerpature and holding time, on the physiccohemical properties of MPDS and viability of LGG under dairy food processing and storage conditions. MPDS was prepared using chymosin at varing reaction temperatures from 25℃ to 40℃ for 10 min and holding times from 5 to 30 min at 25℃. The morphological and physicochemical properties of MPDS were evaluated using a confocal laser scanning microscope and a particle size analyzer, respectively. The number of viable cells were determined using the standard plate method. Spherical-shaped MPDS particles were successfully manufactured. The particle size of MPDS was increased with a decrease in reaction temperature and an increase in holding time. As reaction temperature and holding time were increased, the encapsulation efficiency of LGG in MPDS was increased. During pasteurization, the use of MPDS resulted in an increase in the LGG viability. The encapsulation of LGG in MPDS led to an increase in the viability of LGG in simulated gastric fluid. In addition, the LGG viability was enhanced with an increase in reaction temperature and holding time. In conclusions, the encapsulation of LGG in MPDS could be an effective way of improving the viability of LGG during pasturization process in various foods.

  • Arc fault detector based on multilevel DWT with analysis of high-frequency noise components over 100 kHz is proposed in this study to improve the performance in detecting serial arcs and distinguishing them from inverter noise in PV systems. PV inverters generally operate at a frequency range of 20-50 kHz for switching operation and maximum power tracking control, and the effect of these frequency components on the signal for arc detection leads to negative arc detection. High-speed ADC and multilevel DWT are used in this study to analyze frequency components above 100 kHz. Such high frequency components are less influenced by inverter noise and utilized to detect as well as separate DC series arc from inverter noise. Arc detectors identify the input current of PV inverters using a Rogowski coil. The sensed signal is filtered, amplified, and used in 800kSPS ADC and DWT analysis and arc occurrence determination in DSP. An arc detection simulation facility in UL1699B was constructed and AFD tests the proposed detector were conducted to verify the performance of arc detection and performance of distinction of the negative arc. The satisfactory performance of the arc detector meets the standard of arc detection and extinguishing time of UL1699B with an arc detection time of approximately 0.11 seconds.

ER71/ETV2 Promotes Hair Regeneration from Chemotherapeutic Drug-Induced Hair Loss by Enhancing Angiogenesis

  • Chemotherapy-induced alopecia and hair loss can be stressful in patients with cancer. The hair grows back, but sometimes the hair tends to stay thin. Therefore, understanding mechanisms regulating hair regeneration may improve the management of chemotherapy-induced alopecia. Previous studies have revealed that chemotherapeutic agents induce a hair follicle vascular injury. As hair growth is associated with micro-vessel regeneration, we postulated that the stimulation of angiogenesis might enhance hair regeneration. In particular, mice treated with 5-fluorouracil (5-FU) showed delayed anagen initiation and reduced capillary density when compared with untreated controls, suggesting that the retardation of anagen initiation by 5-FU treatment may be attributed to the loss of perifollicular micro-vessels. We investigated whether the ETS transcription factor ETV2 (aka ER71), critical for vascular development and regeneration, can promote angiogenesis and hair regrowth in a 5-FU-induced alopecia mouse model. Tie2-Cre; Etv2 conditional knockout (CKO) mice, which lack Etv2 in endothelial cells, presented similar hair regrowth rates as the control mice after depilation. Following 5-FU treatment, Tie2-Cre; Etv2 CKO mice revealed a significant reduction in capillary density, anagen induction, and hair restoration when compared with controls. Mice receiving lentiviral Etv2 injection after 5-FU treatment showed significantly improved anagen induction and hair regrowth. Two-photon laser scanning microscopy revealed that enforced Etv2 expression restored normal vessel morphology after 5-FU mediated vessel injury. Our data suggest that vessel regeneration strategies may improve hair regrowth after chemotherapeutic treatment.

Tuberostemonine에 의한 Staphylococcus aureus의 생물막 억제 효과 (Inhibitory effects of tuberostemonine on Staphylococcus aureus biofilm)

  • 본 연구는 S. aureus에 대한 tuberostemonine의 항균 및 항생물막 효과에 대하여 확인하였다. S. aureus에 대한 tuberostemonine의 생장 저해 효과가 없음을 확인하였으나, crystal violet 염색법과 CLSM 이미지 측정을 통해 tuberostemonine이 유의한 S. aureus 항생물막 효과 가지는 것을 알 수 있었다. S. aureus의 생물막 형성과 분해 관련 유전자인 icaA와 agrA의 발현은 tuberostemonine를 처리하였을 때 유의미하게 각각 감소 또는 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 따라서 본 연구에서 생물막 형성 저해 및 분해 효과가 확인된 천연화합물인 tuberostemonine은 S. aureus의 내성 발생 위험이 적은 새로운 항생물막제제로서 사용가능 할 것으로 사료된다.

한국 엘리트 양궁선수들의 성별과 부상, 통증 경험에 따른 상지의 관절위치 감각과 힘감각, 경기력 수준의 차이 (Differences In Joint Position Sense, Force Sense, and Performance Level of the Upper Extremities According to the Sex, Injury and Pain Experiences of Korean Elite Archers)

  • Objective: The purpose of this study was to examine the differences in joint position sense (JPS), force sense (FS), and performance level of the upper extremities according to the injury and pain experiences of Korean elite archers. Methods: A total of 15 subjects were briefed about the purpose of this study and agreed to participate voluntarily. JPS was evaluated using the laser-point attached to the wrist while aiming at the target. The difference when relocating while aiming was used as JPS factor. FS was evaluated using load cell through reproduces same muscle strength. Fear-Avoidance Beliefs Questionnaire (FABQ) was used to evaluate psychosocial factors, Kerlan-Jobe Orthopedic Clinic overhead athlete scores (KJOC) and numerical rating scale (NRS) was used to evaluate pain. and performance was evaluated by tournament match score. Results: There is a strong correlation between the current pain and KJOC. Moreover, moderate correlation between KJOC and FABQ also current pain and both upper trapezius and lower trapezius in elite archers. The mean (SD) between groups based on current pain display relatively large margin in force sense than without pain group. The result presents that there is a significant difference in performance and pain. There is a significant difference in the force sense of the upper and lower trapezius and pain. Conclusions: Result present there is a significant difference in functional level in the average comparison between groups according to the presence of absence of current pain. There is a significant difference in the force sense of the upper trapezius as well as lower trapezius and without pain group present a relatively low joint position sense error compared to the groups.

Solvent 별 분산에 따른 Milled Carbon Fiber의 배열성 연구 (Effect of the Alignment of Milled Carbon Fiber Dispersed in Various Solvents)

  • 전자기기 발열을 효율적으로 제어하기 위해 열전도성 복합재료에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 solvent 별 분산에 따른 carbon fiber의 배열성 관계를 알아보기 위해 Milled Carbon Fiber를 4가지 Solvent에 분산하고 Vacuum filtration 방법을 통해 탄소섬유강화 복합재료(CFRP)를 제작하였다. CFRP의 배열성을 알아보기 위해 광학현미경 관측과 섬광법을 통한 열전도도를 측정하였다. NMP와 Ethanol을 Solvent로 사용하여 성형한 CFRP의 평면두께방향 열전도도가 각각 10.79 W/mK, 10.57 W/mK 값을 보였고 이는 평면내부방향 열전도도에 비해 218%, 209% 향상된 결과를 보였다. Solvent의 상대적으로 높은 점도 값은 solvent 유체의 높은 전단력에 영향을 주어 성형 시 필러의 배열성을 결정하는데 영향을 주는 것으로 판단된다.

Diglycidyl ether of terephthalylidene-bis-(4-amino-3-methylphenol)의 열적 성질에 대한 연구 (Thermal Properties of Diglycidyl Ether of Terephthalylidene-bis-(4-amino-3-methylphenol))

  • 본 연구에서 액정성 에폭시인 Diglycidyl ether of terephthalylidene-bis-(4-amino-3-methylphenol) (DGETAM)을 사용해 경화제로는 아민계 경화제인 4,4'-diaminodiphenylethane (DDE)와 양이온 개시제인 N-benzylpyrazinium hexafluoroantimonate (BPH)를 사용하여 필름의 형태로 샘플을 제작하였다. 합성의 확인을 위하여 1H-NMR과 FT-IR을 사용하였고, DSC와 POM을 이용하여 DGETAM의 액정성을 확인하고, LFA를 사용하여 샘플의 열전도도를 측정하였다. 활성화 에너지는 TGA를 사용하여 등온 열분해를 진행해 측정한 데이터를 토대로 Arrhenius 식을 사용하여 구하였다. 에폭시 필름의 열전도도를 측정한 결과 DDE를 사용하였을 때, 더 높은 열전도도를 나타내었고, 5% 분해시 BPH를 사용한 필름과 유사한 활성화 에너지를 나타내는 것으로 보아, 열전도도가 열적 안정성에 영향을 미치는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

거친 발수 표면에 충돌하는 유체 방울의 팽창 및 수축 역학: 미세 유체 방울의 형성 (Spreading and retraction dynamics of a liquid droplet impacting rough hydrophobic surfaces: Formation of micrometer-sized drops)

  • In this study, we investigated the dynamics of a droplet impacting rough hydrophobic surfaces through high-speed imaging. Micrometer-sized structures with grooves and pillars were fabricated on smooth Polydimethylsiloxane (PDMS) surfaces by laser ablation. We used Newtonian and non-Newtonian liquid droplets to study the drop impact dynamics. De-ionized water and aqueous glycerin solutions were used for the Newtonian liquid droplet. The solutions of xanthan gum in water were prepared to provide elastic property to the Newtonian droplet. We found that the orientation of the surface structures affected the maximal spreading diameter of the droplet due to the degree of slippage. During the droplet retraction, the dynamic receding contact angles were measured to be around 90° or less. It resulted in the formation of the micro-capillary bridges between the receding droplet and the surface structures. Then, the rupture of the capillary bridge led to the formation of micrometer-sized droplets on top of the surface structures. The size of the microdroplets was found to increase with increasing the impacting velocity and viscosity of the Newtonian liquid droplets. However, the size of the isolated microdroplets decreased with enhancing the elasticity of the droplets, and the size of the non-Newtonian microdroplets was not affected by the impacting velocity.
