  • The explosive Increase of wireless networks and the advancement of mobile devices lead to the expansion of mobile environment. In accordance with the development of mobile environment, the need to use mobile database is increased sharply, and also it accompanies the related problems. The current mobile database system is based on the centralized method from which a synchronized server manages multiple mobile database management system to synchronize. From this mobile system architecture, several kinds of problems can be detected such as the management of synchronization issues between mobile databases and the transaction management issues. Furthermore, the current mobile database management system does not consider any solution on the fault tolerance. To solve those problems, this paper proposes the mobile agent-based mobile database management system. The proposed system provide high confidence and efficiency by enhancing the network efficiency and fault tolerance through the mobile grouping.

  • Mobile grid system supports the integration mobile devices as grid resources. Availability of mobile resources changes dynamically in mobile grid system. Stochastic reward nets (SRN) is an extension of stochastic Petri nets and provides compact modeling facilities for system analysis. We build the SRN model to represent availability of mobile resources with disconnected operation service.

  • This paper presents the analysis on the manipulability of a wheeled mobile manipulator which consists of a wheeled mobile platform and a manipulator atop. It is assumed that the mobile platform is a deficient system and the manipulator is a nonredundant system, but the mobile manipulators as a whole is a redundant system. First Yoshikawa´s definition of the manipulability ellipsoid for a redundant/nonredundant system is extended to a deficient system. Second, the effects of the nonholonomic constraint of the mobile platform and the location the mobile platform and the manipulator is analyzed.

  • The active rule system is a key element of the rule-based mobile agent middleware system for activeness and autonomy of the sensor network. The rule manager, which is the main components of active rule based mobile agent framework and active rule system, performs the control and management of the rule-related processes. In this paper, we design and implement the roles and functions of the rule manager in detail. The proposed rule manager plays an important role in the sensor network environment. The sensor data server loads the active rule on the mobile agent by the rule manager according to the situations, and the mobile agent migrates to the destination node and performs the designated action. This active rule-based mobile agent middleware system presents the usefulness for the various sensor network applications. Through the rule execution experiment using the rule-based mobile agent, we show the adaptability and applicability of rule-based mobile agent middleware system to the dynamic environmental changes in sensor networks.

  • Contrast operating system installed on traditional PC, operating system installed to mobile IP host is a status not to be established a definite monopoly system. Accordingly, for the time being, it is expected that operating system operated in mobile IP host will be used various operating systems. Regardless of operating system, this condition is a very vulnerable to modified virus. Because operating system used in an individual host is very diverse, It makes technical development to cure complicated in detection efficiently these virus. In this thesis, By using VMware under the various operating system, I designed and implemented system which is able to test a modified virus. Also I implemented prototype system to operate under the real mobile condition.

  • Mobile agents have the unique ability to transport themselves from one system in a network to another. The ability to travel allows mobile agents to move to a system that contains services with which they want to interact and then to take advantage of being in the same host or network as the service. But most of conventional mobile agent systems require that the users or the programmer should give the mobile agent its detail behavioral script for accomplishing the given task. And during its runtime, such mobile agents just behave according to the fixed script given by its user. Therefore it is impossible that conventional mobile agents autonomously build their own plants and execute them in considering their ultimate goals and the dynamic world states. One way to overcome such limitations of conventional mobile agent systems is to develop an intelligent mobile agent system embedding a reactive planner. In this paper, we design both a model of agent mobility and a model of inter-agent communication based upon the representative reactive planning agent architecture called JAM. An then we develop an intelligent mobile agent system with reactive planning capability, IMAS, by implementing additional basic actions for agent moves and inter-agent communication within JAM according to the predefined models. Unlike conventional mobile agents. IMAS agents can be able to adapt their behaviors to the dynamic changes of their environments as well as build their own plans autonomously. Thus IMAS agents can show higher flexibility and robustness than the conventional ones.

  • In the recent a mobile internet makes a change in internet business. The mobile internet service is resulting in M-commerce. Even if M-commerce provides only information service, there will be much possibilities to make applications in various areas such as, delivery service, trading service, banking service etc. in the near future. Delivery service requires many steps in processing, originally. This study is designed to implement a mobile system which makes short in delivery process. It includes that a delivery man receives a signature on a paper and input data at the delivered place by using PDA at hand. The mobile system will be contributed to shorten delivery speed. It is proposed to implement the mobile office system for improving service efficiency in the business of delivery service. • Recently the wireless-internet has been spreading extensively. People are spending a large part of their time gaining access to information using a mobile device. With the rapid growth of on-line Electronic Commerce, the use of mobile devices creates a new paradigm that provides users with location-independent real time service. Although this new paradigm does have some advantages, limited process speed, low bandwidth, the low battery capacity of mobile devices, and a high rate of wireless network errors causes many overhead expenses during service time with the server. In this paper, we suggest an autonomous service delivery system, which provides mobile agent capability to users that cannot maintain a connection. We have developed the system based on java mobile agent technology. Using this system, we can provide more effective service to users when the user is sending requirements for service through a mobile device that has limited resources. Furthermore we can manage the contact server dynamically when new services are added.

  • In this paper, we designed, implemented, and verified the SLAM system that can be used on mobile devices. Mobile SLAM is composed of a stand-alone type that directly performs SLAM operation on a mobile device, and a mapping server type that additionally configures a mapping server based on FastAPI to perform SLAM operation on the server and transmits data for map visualization to a mobile device. The mobile SLAM system proposed in this paper is to mix the two types in order to make SLAM operation and map generation more efficient. The stand-alone type SLAM system was configured as an Android app by porting the OpenVSLAM library to the Unity engine, and the map generation and performance were evaluated on desktop PCs and mobile devices. The mobile SLAM system in this paper is an open source project, so it is expected to help develop AR contents based on SLAM in a mobile environment.
