환경적 장애 극복을 위한 PC Helper 시스템의 구현 (Implementation of PC Helper System for Overcoming Environmental Obstacles)

  • 이 논문에서는 환경적 장애 극복을 위한 소프트웨어 접근성 향상을 위한 시스템인 PC Helper을 제안한다. P.C Helper는 [Speech Mode]와 [Motion Mode] 두 가지의 모드로 구성된다. [Speech Mode]에서는 UI Speaking Engine을 활용하여 음성으로 응용프로그램을 제어하고, [Motion Mode]에서는 Gesture Engine을 활용하여 모션을 이용한 가상의 키보드와 마우스를 제어할 수 있다. 이 두 가지 기능을 제공하여 환경적 장애가 있는 사람들에게 용이한 인터페이스를 제공하고자 하였다. UI Speaking Mode로 Microsoft Office 응용 프로그램 약 70%정도 제어하는 것이 가능하였다.

  • Excavated costumes at the women's tomb in 17C have been sustained good condition. These materials give us that Jang ui(長衣) and so chang ui(소창의) with chechori(유), skirt, trousers(袴) reflects on women's fashion style at that time. By seeing these costumes, we can get the characteristics of costumes in mid-chosun era with chechori, skirt, jang ui, so chang ui etc. The features of chechori in this area are follows : form - diagonal gil, collar - kalkit and tangkokit, length - about 50cm, materials - silk, cotton, grass-cloth, kind - single, double. clothing padded with cotton wool etc. It is the first time that chang ui, one of Po, is excavated in this area. There are three pieces of jang ui which is significant data to study deeply on the costume in 1700's. Jang ui mainly made of silk in pattern, silk, cotton and decorated stylish printing on the robes. With these material and style, we can induce the mode of mid-chosun period. Through comparative studying we have many chances to understand women's the garment for the dead(염습의) in mid-chosun period.

Computer-aided proximal caries diagnosis: correlation with clinical examination and histology

  • Purpose: To evaluate the performance of the LOGICON Caries Detector using RVG-4 and RVG-ui sensors, by comparing results of each detector to the results of clinical and histological examinations. Materials and Methods : Pairs of extracted teeth were radiographed, and a total of 57 proximal surfaces, which included both carious and non-carious situations, were analyzed. The RVG-4 produced 8-bit images, while the RVG-ui unit produced 12-bit images, which were taken in the high sensitivity mode. The images produced by the LOGICON were evaluated by a trained observer using both automated and manual caries detection software modes. Ground sections of the teeth established the actual absence or existence of caries. Results: LOGIC ON-aided caries detection and depth discrimination of the RVG-4 and RVG-ui sensors were equally inconsistent irrespective of whether the LOGIC ON software was set to the automated or manual mode. Sensitivity ranged from 50% to 57% for caries penetration of the enamel-dentin junction. Conclusion: Care needs to be taken when using LOGIC ON in conjunction with RVG images as an adjunct for treatment planning dental caries. Even when applied by a trained observer, substantial discrepancies exist between the results of the LOGIC ON software-guided evalutations using RVG images and histologic examination.

초음파 합성법을 이용한 UiO-66의 합성 및 이산화탄소 흡착/자일렌 이성체 분리 연구 (Sonochemical Synthesis of UiO-66 for CO2 Adsorption and Xylene Isomer Separation)

  • 초음파-용매열 혼합방법으로 염화지르코늄과 1,4-benzenedicarboxylic acid를 사용하여 다공성 금속유기 구조체인 UiO-66을 1-L 규모로 제조하였다. 합성 개시 2시간 뒤 약 $0.2{\mu}m$의 작고 고른 형태와 $1,375m^2/g$의 높은 비표면적을 갖는 결정을 95%의 높은 수율로 얻을 수 있었다. 제조된 UiO-66 물질의 이산화탄소 흡착 거동을 조사한 결과, 1기압 273 K 및 298K에서 각각 198 및 84 mg/g의 흡착량과 32:1 이상의 높은 질소 대비 이산화탄소 흡착 선택성을 갖는 것을 확인하였다. 흡착이 진행됨에 따라 흡착열은 33에서 25 kJ/mol 로 감소하였다. 또한 UiO-66 물질을 사용하여 액상 회분식 조건에서 자일렌 이성체의 분리 연구를 수행하였으며, o-자일렌이 단일성분 최대 흡착능 및 경쟁흡착에서도 m-, p-자일렌 대비 약 2배 이상의 높은 흡착 선호도를 갖는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • In this work, we studied consumers' attractiveness/usefulness perceptions (CAUP) of online commerce product photos when exposed to alternative dark/light user interface (UI) modes. We analyzed time-series EEG data from 31 individuals and performed neuroscience mining (NSM) to ascertain (a) how the CAUP of products differs among UI modes; and (b) which deep learning model provides the most accurate assessment of such neuroscience mining (NSM) business difficulties. The dark UI style increased the CAUP of the products displayed and was predicted with the greatest accuracy using a unique EEG power spectra separated wave brainwave 2D-ConvLSTM model. Then, using relative importance analysis, we used this model to determine the most relevant power spectra. Our findings are considered to contribute to the discovery of objective truths about online customers' reactions to various user interface modes used by various online marketplaces that cannot be uncovered through more traditional research approaches like as surveys.

The Effects of Multi-Modality on the Use of Smart Phones

  • Objective: The objective of this study was to examine multi-modal interaction effects of input-mode switching on the use of smart phones. Background: Multi-modal is considered as an efficient alternative for input and output of information in mobile environments. However, there are various limitations in current mobile UI (User Interface) system that overlooks the transition between different modes or the usability of a combination of multi modal uses. Method: A pre-survey determined five representative tasks from smart phone tasks by their functions. The first experiment involved the use of a uni-mode for five single tasks; the second experiment involved the use of a multi-mode for three dual tasks. The dependent variables were user preference and task completion time. The independent variable in the first experiment was the type of modes (i.e., Touch, Pen, or Voice) while the variable in the second experiment was the type of tasks (i.e., internet searching, subway map, memo, gallery, and application store). Results: In the first experiment, there was no difference between the uses of pen and touch devices. However, a specific mode type was preferred depending on the functional characteristics of the tasks. In the second experiment, analysis of results showed that user preference depended on the order and combination of modes. Even with the transition of modes, users preferred the use of multi-modes including voice. Conclusion: The order of combination of modes may affect the usability of multi-modes. Therefore, when designing a multi-modal system, the fact that there are frequent transitions between various mobile contents in different modes should be properly considered. Application: It may be utilized as a user-centered design guideline for mobile multi modal UI system.

이중 모드의 기준 클록을 사용하지 않는 클록 데이터 복원 회로 알고리즘 (Dual-Mode Reference-less Clock Data Recovery Algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 full / half-rate의 이중 모드로 동작하는 기준 클록을 사용하지 않는 클록 데이터 복원 회로와 그 동작 알고리즘에 관하여 기술한다. 클록 데이터 복원 회로는 주파수 검출기, 위상 검출기, 차지 펌프 및 루프 필터, 그리고 전압 제어 발진기와 알고리즘 구현을 위한 디지털 블록으로 구성되어 있다. 주파수 검출기와 위상 검출기는 클록 데이터 복원 회로의 이중 모드 기능을 위하여 full / half-rate에서 동작하며 주파수 검출기는 이에 더해 일반 주파수 검출기의 불감대 영역에서도 데이터 전송률과 클록 주파수 차이를 판별할 수 있다. 제안한 이중 모드 클록 데이터 복원 회로를 시뮬레이션을 통해 검증한 결과 클록 데이터 복원에 전체 1.2-1.3 us의 동기화 시간이 소요되었으며, 0.5-UI 지터를 인가하였을 때 full-rate (2.7 Gb/s)와 half-rate (5.4 Gb/s) 모드에서 모두 안정적으로 클록 데이터를 복원한다.

A 6-Gb/s Differential Voltage Mode Driver with Independent Control of Output Impedance and Pre-Emphasis Level

  • A 6-Gb/s differential voltage mode driver is presented whose output impedance and pre-emphasis level can be controlled independently. The voltage mode driver consists of five binary-weighted slices each of which has four sub-drivers. The output impedance is controlled by the number of enabled slices while the pre-emphasis level is determined by how many sub-drivers in the enabled slices are driven by post-cursor input. A prototype transmitter with a voltage-mode driver implemented in a 65-nm CMOS logic process consumes 34.8-mW from a 1.2-V power supply and its pre-emphasized output signal shows 165-mVpp,diff and 0.56-UI eye opening at the end of a cable with 10-dB loss at 3-GHz.
