This study is to investigates a development of multimedia contents for the web-based education system. With the comming new millenieum, we have a lot of experience in pluralistic society. especially we are affected by multimedia data with information and knowledge-based society, and the development of information technology, that is we are a lot influenced by multimedia data. This study is to explore multimedia contents which have still and dynamic. With this discussed, teaching and learning from multimedia contents makes learners construct meaning knowledge through the seeing and hearing, interactive communication. thus we need to include the multimedia education in a curriculum.

In existing educational systems, it is impossible to synchronize multimedia contents and it is required additional client applications. SMIL(Synchronized Multimedia Integration Language) is based on XML which allows to arrange multimedia objects temporally and spatially, and it can represent multimedia effectively on Web browsers. It is possible to serve the high-quality multimedia on Web browsers by applying SMIL to the previous Web-based educational contents without any client applications. In this paper, we propose the method of developing multimedia educational contents applied by SMIL, and design an authoring tool with a function of transforming SMIL documents to XHTML documents. The tool allows common users to use easily without any plug-ins or applications.

According to the progress of multimedia technology and growth of high speed network, plenty of multimedia contents are produced and in circulation. Because of these reasons, it is required that the method which can manage efficiently and make multimedia contents, for which are saved in Storage as different used, synchronize. In this paper, the metadata schema that can manage the method with being database using each Device metadata that are produced by extracting the needed information to multimedia contents is suggested. And the method that can make synchronized multimedia contents metadata on connecting between heterogeneous devices is proposed.

The Multimedia Contents, such like movies, internet and so on, are the most effective teaching means for generation c[content] learners who are accustomed to the multimedia environment. First, the multimedia contents become appropriate materials in that they help the learners understand the culture and lifestyle of its country through practical and vivid information. Second, they are useful leaning tools for the students who prefer visual media to improve interest and understanding. Third, as students have the time for developing their own contents based on given information, they understand the contents better and also have a indirect learning experience of culture. This means that the learning using multimedia contents has an influence on students' academic achievement. As a result, it is desirable for the application and development of multimedia contents to be suggested as an effective teaching method for foreign culture.

Multimedia contents have been increasingly available over the Internet as wireless networks systems are continuously growing popular. Unlimited access from various users has led to unauthorized access of third parties or adversaries. This paper deals with the implementation of elliptic curve cryptography (ECC) based user authentication for securing multimedia contents over the Internet. The ECC technique has been incorporated with the advanced encryption standard (AES) algorithm to ensure the complexity of the proposed authentication scheme and to guarantee authenticity of multimedia services.

As wireless internet market grows rapidly, demands of various contents in wireless internet is significantly being increased. The contents that customers are taking advantage of have changed from single media content to multimedia content. As the technology of cellular telephone and broadband grows, the development of multimedia contents that can future represent characteristic of user will be more increased. One example of such content developments is ring-tone content service. Ring tone content service changed from existing simple ring tone to various sound services that depend on characteristic of user. In this paper, we design and implement the multimedia greeting assistant system that firsthand produces multimedia greeting contents using various multimedia contents and provides multimedia greeting service to represent characteristic of user through elevating ring tone content service.

Currently on the school education site, various multimedia contents are used to effectively deliver knowledge to the students and increase interest in class. The majority of the multimedia contents currently used in classes are composed of visual and auditory information. This paper intends to maximize actuality and immersion in the content by adding olfactory information to the existing visual and auditory data. Tangible contents were developed based on the details of aromatic plants learned in the fifth grade of elementary school. The shape and explanation of the aromatic plants are displayed with visual and auditory information, and an aroma spraying application is used to allow the students to smell the aromatic plants. After conducting the class using the developed contents, the students' satisfaction of the class, as well as their overall academic understanding, were investigated. Upon doing so, it was discovered that the students' academic understanding and satisfaction increased in comparison to classes comprised of only visual and auditory contents.

In this thesis, the interactive multimedia contents service system is proposed. The interactive multimedia contents service system which added the on-line merit on the off-line merit of CD-ROM title can transfer messages among users and update contents immediately. The Interactive multimedia contents service system which Integrated the CD-ROM title and Internet sonics is possible to use in on-line / off-line. The proposed system more improved the fault of CD-ROM title in the conventional main media, the search environment by using mutual correlation of the utilization and method of the Internet CD-ROM title.

One example of such content developments is a ring-tone content service. Ring-tone content services have been changed from existing simple ring-tone to various sound services that depend on characteristic of user. In this paper, we design and implement a multimedia greeting system for the next generation mobile content service. Our system produces multimedia greeting contents using various multimedia contents and represents the characteristics of users through the elevation of ring-tone content services.
