가스화 연료 연소시 단계적 연료주입 기술에 의한 질소산화물 저감 (Reduction of Nitrogen Oxide by Fuel Staged Technology on the Combustion of Gasification Fuel)

  • Coal gasification fuel has generally a lower calorific values than natural gas and also contains ammonia which is a main source of fuel NOx. Such a fuel is in need of the advanced technologies for the NOx reduction with higher combustion efficiency. Therefore fuel staged combustion was investigated for the fuel NOx control using a bench scale gas combustoi for the fuel NOx control. Parametric screening studies were performed with the variation of air ratio, retention length and reburning fuel. The NOx reduction efficiency was increased with an increase of total air ratio having optimum reburning air ratio differently, The Increased retention length of the reburning zone was preferable for NOx reduction. Hydrocarbonic reburning fuels like propane and butane were more effective for the NOx reduction efficiency than hydrogen fuel. The NOx concentration at exit was linearly increased according to the fuel-N the fuel.

  • 파일럿 크기의 흐름반응기에서 유기와 무기 첨가제가 질소산화물의 선택적 무촉매 환원반응에 미치는 영향을 공정변수 변화에 따라 고찰하였다. 질소산화물 저감효율은 반응기의 체류시간과 초기 NOx 농도 증가에 따라 증가하였다. 요소용액에 의한 NOx 환원반응은 $850^{\circ}C$에서 시작되어 $970^{\circ}C$에서는 최대값을 나타내었으며, NSR = 2.0까지 증가 하였다. 유기첨가제로서 에탄올과 페놀의 첨가는 온도창을 저온 영역으로 이동시켰으며, 에탄올 구조내의 탄화수소에 의한 부반응으로 최대의 NOx 저감효율이 감소하였다. NaOH 첨가는 NaOH의 연쇄반응과 $N_2O$ 저감으로 인하여 온도창을 확대시키고, 최대 NOx 저감효율을 10% 정도 향상시켰다.

  • The Effect of Space Velocity(SV) on NOx conversion rate was performed to develop NOx reduction after-treatment system. SV is calculated from engine exhaust gas volume and SCR catalyst volume. Found the Urea injection duty of maximum efficiency for NOx conversion if increase SV, NOx Conversion rate is down. Especially, when SV is more than $110,000h^{-1}$, NOx conversion rate decrease suddenly. Same case, if SV is lower than $40,000h^{-1}$, NOx conversion rate is down. Also, the characterization of Urea-SCR system was performed. Three candidate injectors for injecting Urea were tested in terms of 속 injection rate and NOx reduction rate. The performances of SCR catalytic converter on temperature were investigated. The performance of Urea-SCR system was estimated in the NEDC test cycle with and without EGR. It was found that nozzle type injector had high NOx conversion rate. SCR catalytic converter had the highest efficiency at the temperature of $350^{\circ}C$. EGR+Urea-SCR system achieved NOx reduction efficiency of 73% through the NEDC test cycle.

서울지역 대형연소시설에서의 질소산화물 제거효율과 배출계수 산정 (Evaluation of NOx Reduction Efficiency and Emission Factor from Large Combustion Facilities in Seoul)

  • This survey was performed to investigate the NOx emission factors at 3 Municipal Solid Waste Incinerators(MSWI) and 5 Power generation boilers in Seoul. The NOx concentrations were measured before and after control systems. The results were as follows. 1) The NOx reduction efficiencies of Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) using ammonia as reducing agent ranged from 53.7% to 89.9%. The NOx reduction efficiencies of SCR using methanol as reducing agent, Non- Selective Catalytic Reduction (NSCR) using ethanol as reducing agent and low-NOx burner were 20.8%, 29.1% and 24.7%, respectively. 2) The NOx emission factors at A-1, A-2 and A-3 facilities of MSWI were 0.786, 0.127 and 0.594 kg Nox/ton fuel, respectively. The factors of A-1 and A-3 facilities were higher than the average value of Korea. 3) The NOx emission factors at B-1, B-2, B-3, B-4 and B-5 facilities of Power generation boiler were 2.109, 0.726, 4.106, 8.378 and 5.168 kg Nox/ton fuel, respectively. The factors of B-4 and B-5 facilities were higher than the average value of Korea.

  • To remove nitrogen oxides(NOx) in exhaust gas of diesel engine, three-way catalytic process with plasma discharger has great possibilities. Characteristics of NOx removal depends on NO conversion to NO$_2$and/or HNO$_3$due to high activation energies for NO oxidation and reduction. NOx removal efficiency by using three-way catalytic with plasma discharger indicated about 50% at 40watt power consumption condition.

V2O5 - TiO2 촉매 담지된 세라믹 폼 필터를 이용한 NOx 제거 특성 (Characteristics of NOx Reduction Using V2O5 - TiO2Catalyst Coated on Ceramic Foam Filters)

  • Ceramic foams prepared from silica -clay were coated with TiO$_2$ and V$_2$O$_{5}$ catalysts for selective catalytic reduction of NOx with NH$_3$. The effects of V$_2$O$_{5}$ loading, reaction temperature, space velocity, and oxygen content on NOx reduction with NH$_3$ were mainly investigated. Also, the NOx reduction characteristics of V$_2$O$_{5}$ and V$_2$O$_{5}$ -TiO$_2$ filters were compared when sulfur dioxide exists. From the results, the optimal NOx reduction with the maximum reduction efficiency of 91 % could be performed under the condition with V$_2$O$_{5}$ loading 6.0 wt. %, reaction temperature 35$0^{\circ}C$, space velocity 6,000h$^{-1}$ , and oxygen content 5%. And, the V$_2$O$_{5}$ -TiO$_2$ filters have shown higher NOx reduction efficiency and acid resistance against sulfur dioxide than the V$_2$O$_{5}$ filters.

Hybrid SNCR/SCR 탈질공정에서 SNCR의 관통노즐에 의한 NOx 저감 및 NH3 Slip 특성 (Characteristics of NOx Reduction and NH3 Slip in SNCR Using Pipe Nozzle for the Application of Hybrid SNCR/SCR Process)

  • Hybrid SNCR/SCR 공정개발을 위해 $1,000\;Nm^3/hr$ 용량의 실증 플랜트를 제작하였다. 1단계로 SNCR의 최적운전 조건을 규명하기위해 환원제의 당량비(NSR, 0.5~5.0), 반응온도($850{\sim}1,100^{\circ}C$), 노즐형태(벽노즐, 관통노즐), 노즐위치를 변수로 SNCR 실험하였다. 벽노즐은 NSR 2.5에서 87%까지 NOx 저감효율이 급증하고 이후 증가 폭이 둔화되었다. 관통노즐 상향분사와 비교해, 적용 가능한 반응온도 범위도 적었다. 관통노즐 상향은 NSR 1.5에서 77%까지 NOx 저감효율이 급증되는 현상을 보였다. 그러나 관통노즐 하향은 NOx 저감효과가 없을 뿐만 아니라 오히려 NOx 발생이 증가하였다. 관통노즐에서 환원제를 상향분사했을 때, NSR 0.5~1.5 범위에서 NOx 저감효율은 50~75%로 나타났고, $890{\sim}1,000^{\circ}C$ 범위의 반응온도변화에도 NOx 저감효율의 증감없이 일정한 효율을 보였다. Urea 5% 용액을 NSR 1.2 에서 관통노즐로 상향 분사했을 때 이며, 이때 200 ppm의 NOx가 약 60 ppm으로 저감되고, 미반응 $NH_3$는 50~100 ppm이었다. 이 조건에서 SNCR 후단의 SCR에 추가적인 $NH_3$ 공급 없이도 90 % 이상의 NOx 저감효율이 기대된다.

승용디젤엔진의 운전 조건 및 분사 조건 변경에 따른 Urea-SCR 시스템의 NOx 전환효율에 관한 연구 (Investigation on the DeNOx Efficiency in Urea-SCR System at Various Operating Conditions and Injection Characteristics for a Passenger Diesel Engine)

  • Selective Catalytic Reduction (SCR) system is a high-effective NOx reduction technology in diesel engines. As the emission standard of diesel engines is more stringent, vehicle manufactures makes efforts on emission technologies. This paper discusses the performance of Urea-SCR system according to the engine operating conditions in a passenger diesel engine. Engine test results in this paper show that it is important to consider the catalyst temperature and space velocity to obtain high NOx conversion efficiency. In condition of high catalyst temperature, over 90% NOx conversion efficiency is indicated. However, when catalyst temperature is low, NOx conversion efficiency was decreased. Also, it was shown that space velocity mainly effects on the DeNOx performance under 220 degree celsius of SCR catalyst temperature. As the urea injection pressure was decreased, NOx conversion efficiency was declined. It is concerned about urea droplet atomization. This work shown in this paper can lead to improved overall NOx conversion efficiency.

Euro-6 대응 경유 차량의 NOx 저감율 분석 연구 (Research on the NOx Reduction Rate of Diesel Vehicle for Euro-6)

  • As emission gas regulation of deisel vehicles is strengthened to Euro-6, It becomes difficult to deal with NOx regulated value mainly by EGR without additional after-treatment system. In addition, RDE(Real Driving Emissions) test will be introduced after september 2017. Therefore, It is essential to develop the after-treatment of diesel vehicles which reduce NOx emissions. It is possible to use DOC, DPF, LNT or DOC, DPF and SCR as a after-treatment system for reducing NOx. However, It is expected that the SCR will be applied widely because LNT alone does not have sufficient NOx purification efficiency. In this study, It tried to analyze the efficiency of reducing NOx emissions during the mode test by attaching a NOx sensor to test vehicle. As a result, It was confirmed that NOx emissions was significantly reduce through the after-treatment system from engine. And the NOx reduction efficiency of SCR was about 4.5 times better than DOC, DPF.
