국가갈등관리의 효율화 방안 - 화물연대파업을 중심으로 - (Improving the National Conflict Management System in Korea - Trucker's Strike in 2003 as Complex Conflict -)

  • 이 논문의 목적은 갈등과정의 심화 확대 단계를 분석하여 국가갈등관리의 문제점을 해결할 수 있는 방안을 도출하는데 있다. 연구목적 달성을 위하여 이 논문에서는 국가갈등관리의 정책대상영역으로서 갈등 발생원인, 갈등피해영역, 갈등관리기구, 갈등관리전략, 갈등관리 장애요인을 다루고 있으며, 복합갈등으로서 화물연대 파업 사례를 분석하였다. 끝으로, 이 연구는 국가갈등관리의 효율화 방안으로 국가갈등관리 전담기구의 설치, 국가갈등관리 지표개발, 갈등단계와 외부환경에 따른 갈등관리 매뉴얼 개발, 갈등관리기 구간 협조체계 구축 등을 제시하였다.

Factors Associated with Marital Conflict for Baby Boomers in South Korea

  • Using data from the 2010 National Survey of Korean Families (NSKF), we investigated factors associated with marital conflict for baby boomers in South Korea. Korean baby boomers are those born during the post-Korean War period from 1955 to 1963. OLS regression examined the marital conflict of these couples. Baby boomer couples reported that they experienced occasional marital conflict; subsequently individual and family level variables explained 15% of baby boomers' marital conflict. The key findings were that satisfaction in spousal communication was negatively associated with conflict for baby boomer couples. However, the existence of unmarried adult children was positively associated with baby boomers' marital conflict. Work and family balance was also negatively associated with marital conflict. We found that the more satisfied with communication with the spouse, the fewer unmarried adult children, and the more work and family balance the couple maintained, the less marital conflict these baby boomers experienced.

  • This study investigated the moderating effects of conflict-coping strategies between marital conflict and satisfaction according to gender and marital period. The subjects of this study were 178 couples from Cheongju who have been married less than fourteen years. For husbands and wives who have been married less than 7 years, nothing moderated the interaction between marital conflict and satisfaction. However, for husbands who have been married between 8 and 14 years, their conflict withdrawal moderated the interaction between marital conflict and satisfaction. For their wives, their conflict-expression strategy and their husbands' conflict-expression strategy moderated the interaction between marital conflict and satisfaction.

결혼초기 남면과 아내가 인지한 갈등대처방식의 상호작용패턴이 결혼만족도에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Couple's Interaction Pattern of the Conflict-Coping Method as Perceived by the Husband and Wife on the Marital Satisfaction in the Early Stage of Marital Life)

  • The purposes of this study were firstly to investigate how the conflict-coping methods of husbands and wives relate to their cognition of their own conflict-coping methods and those of their spouse and secondly to investigate how the interaction patterns of the conflict-coping methods between husbands and wives affect their marital satisfaction in the early stage of marital life. The main findings of this study were as follows: Firstly, this study indicated that both husbands and wives recognized that they themselves use the more reasonable conflict-coping method than their spouse. Both thought that husbands use the more avoidant, conflict-coping method than wives. Secondly, the study showed that both husbands and wives are tend to use the same conflict-coping method as their spouse's conflict-coping method as perceived by them. All the conflict-coping methods of husbands were related to their perception of their wives' conflict-coping methods. In the can of wives, however, there was no significant correlation between their aggressive conflict-coping method and the husbands' avoidant conflict-coping method, or between their avoidant conflict-coping method and the husbands' reasonable conflict-coping method. These results indicated a gender-difference in the conflict-coping methods between husbands and wives. Thirdly, the study showed that when husbands and wives regarded the interaction pattern of the conflict-coping method between themselves and their spouse as the reasonable$\ast$reasonable pattern, both of them had the highest marital satisfaction. When husbands regarded the interaction pattern of the conflict-coping method as the aggressive$\ast$aggressive pattern, they had the lowest marital satisfaction. On the other hand, when wives regarded the interaction pattern of the conflict-coping method as the aggressive$\ast$avoidant pattern, they had the lowest marital satisfaction.

Conflict Avoidance in Construction Projects: Six 'C' Rescue Factors

  • Conflict is aroused when different people having different interest work together for fulfilling same the objectives. As the construction field is large, complex, volatile and requires tremendous capital, there are always greater challenges and possibility of risks of conflicts. Poor management practices in construction site and trying to protect risks and threats by contracting parties are the cited sources of the construction conflicts. The best management practice is to resolve the problems before these cultivate as conflicts. This paper has identified six dispute avoidance factors-Convince, Coordination, Consideration, Compromise, Consolation and Coercion. Six 'C' factors described in this paper are the mantra (formula) to execute a conflict free construction project. The conflict avoidance factors have been verified through a successfully executed project called TEVT development project (Technical Education and Vocational Training) during 1993-1998 in Nepal. The results show that the six 'C' factors 'C' considered during the implementation of the project, construction conflicts would be controlled or minimized effectively.

농촌지도사의 역할갈등에 대한 이론적 탐색 (A Theoretical Exploration on Agricultural Extension Workers' Role Conflict)

  • The objectives of this study were to explore theoretically the factors that were associated with role conflict of rural extension educators, to investigate the consequences of this conflict, and to suggest possible solutions to the role conflict. This study was carried out through literature review. The findings from this study were as follows : 1) The causes of role conflict were divided into individual characteristics and social or organizational characteristics. Existing research papers examining the cause of rural extension educators' role conflict had focused mainly on individual characteristics. Therefore, social characteristics of the role conflict should be included in future research activities. 2) The consequences of role conflict were made up of individual dimensions and organizational dimensions. However, pervious researches on rural extension educators' role conflict had dealt with the individual dimensions only. Therefore, the consequences of organizational dimensions should be added to future researches. 3) Revision of roles and job specifications, developing professional competencies, and raising achievement motivation were some of the possible solutions to rural extension educators' role conflict. These solutions, if managed effectively, may improve the performance of extension organizations, as well as that of the individuals by solving the role conflict of rural extension educators.

대학병원 종사자의 조직구조, 조직문화에 따른 조직갈등의 관계에 대한연구 (The Relation of Organization Structure, Organization Culture and Organization Conflict of University Hospital Staff Members)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the characteristics of hospital organization structure, organization culture, organization conflict and the interrelation of influential factor in organization conflict. The data for this study were collected through a self-administered survey with a structured delivered to 755 subjects including several nursing staff members, administration staff members and medical technicians at six hospitals. The structural equation model was used to examine the relation of organization structure, organization culture and organization conflict. The results of the analysis in this study were as follows. First, organization structure had a positive influence on organization conflict, especially in terms of complexity and centralization. But, formalization had a negative influence on organization conflict. Second, organization culture had a positive influence on organization conflict, especially in terms of group culture, developmental culture, and hierarchical culture. But, group culture had a negative influence on organization conflict. Third, organization structure had positive influences, especially on organization culture complexity, centralization, and formalization. But, centralization had negative influences too.

유아기자녀를 가진 어머니의 모성갈등 예측요인 (Factors Predicting Maternal Conflict in Mothers of Toddlers)

  • Purpose: This study was done to identify degrees of maternal conflict, differences, and factors predicting conflict in mothers of toddlers. Method: A convenience sample of 300 mothers living in G city, Kyounggi-do whose child was between 12 to 36 months old was used. Data were collected through a questionnaire survey and analyzed using SPSS WIN 10.0. Results: The average score for maternal conflict was 67.35 (SD=10.18), somewhat lower than moderate in level. 'I as a human being' was the area of the 6-sub areas with the most conflict. Mothers experiencing higher maternal conflict were those who were less satisfied with marriage, quality of life, and maternal role, and whose child was stubborn and hard to please, who were unsatisfied with baby sitters or who had to rush their sick child to hospital. Factors that were significant in predicting maternal conflict were low satisfaction with maternal role and marriage, and a child who was difficult to care for. These factors accounted for 22% of explained variance. Conclusion: Nurses should help mothers resolve maternal conflict through education and counseling on the maternal role, but at the same time nurses should consider relationship of the mother with her husband and also special characteristics of her child.

  • 해당 연구는 극장용 애니메이션을 서사를 중심으로 갈등을 분석하기 위해 영상에서 갈등을 분류하는 객관적이고 타당한 방법이 필요함을 인식하면서 시작되었다. 아울러 갈등을 효과적으로 비주얼 스토리텔링 하는 요소로 주인공의 정서에 주목하고, 갈등에서 나타나는 주인공의 정서를 연구하려 한다. 연구의 목적은 갈등강도와 갈등에 나타나는 정서를 분석하는 것이다. 연구결과 및 내용은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 서사의 이론적 고찰을 통해 극적전환점을 찾아내고, 갈등 분류 모델(Conflict 6B Model)을 제안하였다. 둘째, 갈등 분류 모델을 이용하여 이론에 기반한 갈등 샷(shot) DB를 추출하였다. 셋째, 내적, 초개인적 갈등에서 강도와 정서를 찾아내었다. 넷째, 내적, 초개인적 갈등에서 강도와 정서의 전문가 실험 및 검증을 실시하였다. 본 연구는 애니메이션에서 갈등에 대한 주인공 정서의 서사적, 시각적, 심리학적인 다학제적 연구로 추출된 메타데이터(Metadata)는 애니메이션 서사에서 갈등의 비데오 인덱싱(Video Indexing)에 적용 될 것으로 기대한다.

How Does Cognitive Conflict Affect Conceptual Change Process in High School Physics Classrooms?

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the role of cognitive conflict in the conceptual change process. Ninety-seven high school students in Korea participated in this study. Before instruction, we conducted pretests to measure learning motivation and learning strategies. During instruction, we tested the students' preconceptions about Newton's 3rd Law and presented demonstrations. After this, we tested the students' cognitive conflict levels and provided students learning sessions in which we explained the results of the demonstrations. After these learning sessions, we tested the students' state learning motivation and state learning strategy. Posttests and delayed posttests were conducted with individual interviews. The result shows that cognitive conflict has direct/indirect effects on the conceptual change process. However, the effects of cognitive conflict are mediated by other variables in class, such as state learning motivation and state learning strategy. In addition, we found that there was an optimal level of cognitive conflict in the conceptual change process. We discuss the complex role of cognitive conflict in conceptual change, and the educational implications of these findings.
