소음유발 청력손실과 소음폭로에 대한 연구 (The analysis of the relation between noise induced hearing loss and noise exposure)

  • 본 연구에서는 A청감보정 소음레벨과 폭로기간에 대한 소음유발 청력손실과 소음폭로 사이의 관계를 해석하였다. 연령과 소음폭로등 다양한 변수에 대하여 청력손실과 청감민감도 변화를 조사하였다. 연구결과 전체 청력손실은 음압의 시간적분에 의한 소음폭로 레벨에 비례하였다. 만약 소음폭로가 노인성 난청보다 크면 연령과 소음에 의해 발생하는 청력손실은 주된 원인이 소음에 의한 것임을 확인하였다. 과도한 소음은 일시적 청력손실의 원인이며, 폭로가 길어지거나 강력하면 영구적 청력손실의 원인이 될 수 있다. 소음유발 청력손실을 겪는 사람의 청력도는 4kHz 영역에서 청감민감도의 급격한 손실을 보여주며, 이 영역은 여러 형태의 산업소음으로 인해 가장 손상받기 쉬운 전형적인 주파수영역임을 확인하였다.

모 금속제품 제조업 근로자들의 소음난청과 고혈압에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Noise-induced Hearing Loss and Hypertension of Metal Manufacturing Workers)

  • This Study was carried out to measure the noise and to evalulate the prevalence of the noise-induced hearing loss and the hypertension in metal manufacturing workers. To perform this sutdy 116 workers were tested their hearing level and hypertension. 1. In frequency analysis, the $C_5$-dip phenomenon occurred around 4000 Hz. 2. Noise intensity was correlated significantly with hearing loss at 500, 1,000, 8,000 Hz (p<0.01). 3. Average hearing loss value by 4-divided method was $32.91{\pm}5.60dB$. 4. Hearing loss steadily increased to the 10th year and steadily after that at 4000 Hz. 5. The prevalence of noise-induced hearing loss of 6,027 workers was 1.81 %. 6. The prevalence of hypertension of 116 workers was 11.2 %.

소음성난청 예방교육 실시에 따른 소음에 대한 인식 및 태도, 예방행위 비교 (Comparison of the Knowledge, Attitude and the Preventive Behavior of Noise According to Noise-induced Hearing Loss Prevention Education)

  • Purpose: The research were conducted to identify the knowledge, attitude and the preventive behaviour of noise according to noise-induced hearing loss prevention education and to provide primary data for effective noise-induced hearing loss prevention education for noise-exposed workers. Method: 104 noise-exposed workers were included in this study. The instrument used in this study was knowledge, attitude and preventive behavior of noise tool by Lee & Lee(1996). The first data were collected before the noise education from August to September, 2002. During 6 months, the education was provided, and then the second data were collected from April to May, 2003. Data were analyzed by SPSS 10.0 win program for finding frequency, percentage, mean, standard deviation, t-test, and ANOVA. Results: The results of this study were as follows: There were statistically significant differences of knowledge and attitude of noise related education level, and adhesion quality of wearing ear protection equipment after noise education. Also, otitis media's history, received education of the personal protective devices for the hearing conservation was significant in the preventive behaviour of noise. Conclusion: In conclusion, the noise-induced hearing loss prevention education was effective in changing the knowledge, attitude and the prevention behaviour of noise. Therefore, the noise-induced hearing loss prevention education is strongly recommended for noise-exposed workers and it will be necessary repeated education for changing prevention behaviour of noise.

소음성 난청 진전도 측정을 위한 청력측정법에 관한 연구 (A Study on a Hearing Test to Measure Progress of Noise Induced Hearing Loss)

  • 최근 노화현상 외에도 소음으로 인한 청력저하를 호소하는 사례가 늘어나고 있다. 특히 멀티미디어의 보급과 휴대용 정보기기의 발달로 지속적인 소음에 장시간 노출되어 청각 세포의 손상이 발생하여 청력 손실이 발생하는 소음성 난청 인구가 증가하고 있는 실정이다. 현재 병원에서 실시하고 있는 순음청력검사는 8000 Hz까지의 주파수대역을 수동으로 조절하며 검사하므로 8,000 Hz 이상의 확장 고주파수에서도 손실을 가져오는 소음성 난청의 경우 회화 영역에 직접적인 영향을 미치지 않아 조기에 청력저하를 파악하여 예방하기에는 부적합한 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 12,000 Hz∼20,000 Hz 고주파 대역을 이용하여 소음성 난청을 조기에 파악하여 예방하기 위한 청력측정법을 제안하였다. 휴대용 정보기기를 통해 이어폰을 많이 사용하는20대 남녀 50명을 대상으로 제안한 측정법으로 청력을 측정한 결과 36 %가 소음으로 인한 청력 저하를 보였다. 그 중 2 %는 청력의 손실정도가 심각함을 보였다.

1996년도 소음성난청 유소견 근로자들의 청력역치 관련 기초조사 (Basic Study on the Hearing-threshold Levels of Workers with Noise-induced Hearing Loss in Korea)

  • Objectives. This study was carried out to analyze the hearingthreshold levels and relating factors of 1,048 workers with noiseinduced hearing loss$(D_1)$. Methods. We analyzed the hearing-threshold levels and relating factors of 1,048 workers with noise-induced hearing loss$(D_1)$ examined by the summary reports of specific health examination results of industries and personal reports of specific health examination results reported by 58 specific health examination institutes and 8 secondary pneumoconiosis examination institutes in 1996. Results. Among 1,048 workers at 510 workplaces, male workers were 1,009 (96.3%) and female workers were 39 (3.7%). The mean ages of workers initially exposed to noise and at present were 28.7 and 47.2, respectively. The duration of total exposure was 16.5 years. Average hearing-threshold levels analyzed by three-divided classification of the study subjects were 43.7dB(Lt) and 42.6dB(Rt). Those analyzed by six-divided classification were 50.5dB(Lt) and 48.6d8(Rt). Among workers with noise-induced shearing loss$(D_1)$, 16.3% was unilateral hearing loss and 84.6% was classified to compensation case. 8.8%(Rt) and 10.2%(Lt) of them were suspected to be conductive hearing loss by differences of air-bone hearing-threshold levels. Hearing-threshold levels of workers in manufacturing industry were significantly increased during the short exposure compared with the levels in mining industry. Among manufacturing industries, hearing-threshold levels of workers in trailer and other transportation equipment manufacturing industry were significantly increased. Age and duration of total noise exposure were not significantly related to the average hearing-threshold levels analyzed by three-divided classification. Hearing-threshold levels of female workers were significantly increased during the short exposure compared with those of male workers. Hearing-threshold levels of workers at the high risk group, ages of 20s, 30s and total exposure duration of less than 10 years, were not significantly increased compared with those of the other groups. However, they were exposed at young ages. The 3 leading industries of workers at high risk group were trailer and other transportation equipment manufacturing, automobile manufacturing and assemble-metal manufacturing industries. Conclusions. This study was the first nationwide analysis of the hearing-threshold levels and relating factors of workers with noise. induced hearing loss$(D_1)$. We found the differences of the real number by the statistics of the department of labour and the expected number of worker' s compensations for occupationally-induced hearing loss estimated by this study. According to the results of this study, we should carefully examine the methods to narrow this difference.

노래방 소음 및 난청가능성의 인간공학적 평가와 청각보호방안 (Erogonomic assessment of "Noraebang" noise and potential hearing-loss and hearing protection strategies)

  • A research project was conducted to assess the levels of noise exposed to "Noraebang" users and potential hazards to noise-induced hearing loss due to commercial Noraebang noise. A two-way, mixed-factors factorial design was employed for the experiment using independent variables of "noise source" (no- singer, 1-singer, and 2-singer conditions) and "music type" (Trot, Ballad, and Rock music) with 18 normal hearing subjects. Each singer group sang 5 popular songs of each music type in each signing condition, whereas background music was just played for the no-singer condition. For each music played/sung, equivalent continuous sound pressure levels and maximum sound pressure levels were measured for data analysis purposes. Pure-tone audiometry was applied for measuring subjects' hearing threshold levels before and after exposure to Noraebgang noise. The statistical analyses indicate that average continuous noise levels due to Noraebang leisure environment were very serious, especially when two people were singing (higher than 95 dBA). Furthermore, maximum noise levels often exceeded the OSHA's non-premissible 115 dBA level. Worse yet, hearing loss assessment implies that Noraebang facilities may pose a serious threat to noise-induced hearing loss, based on 6-8 dB loss at 125 Hz and 8 dB loss at 4000 Hz after about 1-hour Noraebang noise exposure.

소음에 대한 지식, 태도 및 실천이 청력손실에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of Knowledge, Attitude and Practice on Noise - induced Hearing Loss)

  • In order to evaluate the effects of knowledge, attitude and practice on noise-induced hearing loss or hearing threshold level, questionnaire survey was performed and hearing thresholds of 1 kHz and 4 kHz were measured on 1,040 subjects with workers exposed to noise, safety and health officers. industrial hygienists, analysts rind office workers. The results were as follows ; 1. The following 6 factors were obtained by factor analysis and factor rotation of 30 questionnaire of knowledge, attitude and practice about noise; knowledge of noise (F1), concern of hearing protective devices (F2), concern of noise induced hearing loss (F3), concern of noise level and hearing impairment (F4), concern of noise in workplace (F5) and recognition of noised-induced hearing loss (F6). 56.1% of variance was explained by 6 factors. 2. Significant variables influencing knowledge, attitude and practice about noise were education level and age in F1, personal protective devices (PPE) and education level in F2, age and education level in F3, education level, age and sex in F4, PPE, education level, age and work duration in F5, and work duration and PPE in F6. 3. Hearing thresholds of 4 kHz were significantly higher in workers exposed to noise than that of in the other subjects and tended to be higher in industrial hygienists, safety and health officers and analysts than that of the office workers. 4. Significant variables influencing hearing thresholds of 1 kHz were age, education level, F5 and F6 in workers exposed to noise, and F1 in industrial hygienists. 5. Significant variables influencing hearing thresholds of 4 kHz were age, F6, sex, work duration, F1, F5, F2 and F3 in workers exposed to noise, F1 and age in safety and health officers, and F6, sex and F4 in industrial hygienists. With the above results, it suggested that workers exposed to noise be needed the education of knowledge, attitude and practice about noise in hearing conservation program for the prevention of noise induced hearing loss. Also, it suggested that health managers in workplace be needed countermeasures to prevent hearing loss although they are intermittently exposed to noise.

소음성 난청 환자에서 소음 노출 기간에 따른 주관적 이명의 변화 (Change of Subjective Tinnitus by the Duration of Noise Exposure in Patients with Noise-Induced Hearing Loss)

  • Background and Objectives Tinnitus, a common complaint of workers who are exposed to noise, can cause substantial negative effects on the quality of life of these workers. The aim of this study was to analyze the characteristics of tinnitus in patients with noise-induced hearing loss and the relationship between tinnitus and the duration of noise exposure. Subjects and Method Thirty-three patients with subjective tinnitus and noise-induced hearing loss were included in this study. Tinnitus questionnaire, Tinnitus Handicap Inventory (THI) and audiological examinations were investigated according to the duration of noise exposure. Results There was a significant correlation between the tinnitus loudness and the duration of noise exposure. Patients who had longer periods of noise exposure had a louder tinnitus and higher THI score. However, there is no significant correlation between the characteristics of tinnitus and aging process. Conclusion The duration of noise exposure influences the loudness and distress of tinnitus. An awareness of tinnitus should be considered as part of hearing conservation program.

일개 종합병원을 방문한 어선원에서 발생한 소음성 난청의 특징 (Characteristics of Noise Induced Hearing Loss of Fishermen Visiting a General Hospital)

  • 2022년 11월부터 2023년 2월까지 동국대학교 경주병원 이비인후과 외래를 내원한 환자 중에서 소음성 난청을 가진 어선원의 의무기록을 후향적으로 검토하여 소음성 난청을 가진 총 10명의 19개 귀의 청각학적 특성을 분석하였다. 모두 60세 이상의 남자였고 소음에 노출된 기간은 평균적으로 38.9 ± 10.8년으로 장기간 소음에 노출되었으나 난청기간은 평균적으로 13.4 ± 4.3년으로 소음노출에 비해서 늦게 난청을 인지하였다. 고음역 평균역치가 저음역 평균역치보다 높지만, 8 kHz에서 하강하는 청력도를 보였고 고음역 평균 청력역치가 75 dB 초과인 경우는 10.5%이나 저음역 평균 청력역치가 40 dB 초과인 경우가 57.9%를 차지하였다. 순음청력검사상 평균 청력역치는 52.2 ± 7.1 dB, 어음청취역치는 34.0 ± 11.1 dB, 어음명료도검사는 81.5 ± 11.4%, 청성뇌간반응검사의 청력역치는 56.8 ± 6.7 dB, 청성지속반응검사의 청력역치는 63.7 ± 7.6 dB였다. 향후 다기관 연구에서는 어선의 소음의 크기 및 근로시간 등 근로환경에 대한 조사를 같이 시행하여 소음노출을 확인 후 어선원 소음성 난청 청각학적 특성을 분석해야 할 것이다.

소음으로 인한 청력소실에 대한 마늘 추출물 diallyl disulfide(DADS)의 효과 (Protective Effect of Diallyl disulfide(DADS) from Garlic Extract on Noise Induced Hearing Loss in the Guinea pigs)

  • Objective : The purpose of this study is to investigate the protective effect of DADS on the noise induced hearing loss Methods : Twenty healthy guinea pigs (DADS pretreated group and control) were exposed to 100dB a collected environmental noise for 9 hours. An auditory evoked brainstem response (ABR) threshold was measured before and after a noise exposure. For morphological study, cochlea was studied by scanning electron microscope (SEM). Results : The DADS pretreated group showed statistically significant less changes in ABR threshold and SEM findings compared the control group. Conclusion : From these results suggest that the DADS from garlic may have a protective effect in noise induced hearing loss.
