Purpose: The aim of this study was to compare the "Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist Act" of Japan and the "Medical Technician's. Etc. Act" of Korea in order to establish the grounds for improvement of effective law-making. Methods: We obtained the "Medical Technician's. Etc. Act" from the Korean Ministry of Government Legislation and the "Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist Act" from the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor and Welfare. It was translated from an association by related Japanese and experts. Results: The laws consisted of acts, enforcement ordinances, and enforcement regulations in both Korea and Japan. In the Korean case, eight occupations were defined in one law including six types of medical technicians, as well as medical recorders and opticians. The "Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapist Act" in Japan is composed of 6 chapters and 22 articles, while the Korean Act consists of 33 articles without chapters. Among them, 11 articles covered the establishment and management of dental laboratories and eyeglass shops, and only 22 articles were related to physical therapists and occupational therapists. Conclusion: Independent laws should be established for each type of medical technician. They must be comparable to Japanese laws on physical therapists and occupational therapists as well as clinical pathologists, dental hygienists, dental technicians, radiologic technologists, medical recorders, and opticians.
The purpose of this study was going to research relation of job stress and society psychologic stress according to general characteristic, work characteristic, health characteristic and personality characteristic for the occupational therapist in the working domestic rehabilitation therapy with hospital and welfare center occupational therapist. The research was 91 of withdrawal questionnaire among 102 occupational therapist from 1. November 2005 to 31. December 2005. In the result of analysis the given question for the ninety one occupational therapist showed just normal group 25% 23 person, potential stress group 47% 43 person, and the rest 28% 25 person high risk group. The result shows significance different in general characteristic of job stress about age, final scholarship and marriage. Job stress was included income, working time, office form and working position etc. Health special job stress was significance different according to sleep time. So we have to know a fact of job stress of occupational therapist and prevent of loss of business services. And we have to endeavoring removals factor of stress and good office culture fixation.
The purpose of this study is to provide some basic materials for the driving rehabilitation, by analyzing the presence and needs of the driving rehabilitation, which is recognized by the Occupational therapist. This study analyzed 83 survey questionnaires given to occupational therapist in Busan and Kyoung-nam. Most Occupational therapists does not receive lecture and education of driving rehabilitation, 62 Occupational therapist does not driving rehabilitation intervention. Most Occupational therapist mentioned driving rehabilitation needs. Driving rehabilitation influence on rehabilitation of clients and support activities of daily life.
Background: This study is intended as an investigation of the recognition for physical and occupational therapist on the Pilates. Methods: Thirty three therapist were participated in instruction of C-college, completed questionnaire form and then analyzed data. Results: Subjects who don't instruct or practice on the Pilates was 90.9% and physical therapist(PT) was 83.3%, occupational therapist(OT) 100%. 57.6% subjects was well aware of the Pilates by the media and was a most higher respondents. Therapists knowing the exact effect of the Pilates was 54.5%. PT was 33.3%, OT 80.0% and between PT and OT groups were significant difference(p<.05). Therapists knowing the exact practice with Pilates method of applicable a patient was 54.5%. In relation to Pilates and rehabilitation, a lot was 18.2%, a yes 69.7% and a little 12.1%. Therapists have applied the Pilates in rehabilitation was 12.1%. In minded therapists applying the Pilates after instruction, a lot was 24.2%, a yes 69.7%, a little 6.1% and a none 0%. Conclusion: Judging from the above, the knowledge and recognition of the Pilates for PT and OT was low and the will applying for therapy was high. Therefore, therapist is in need of instruction of the Pilates and further research on the Pilates and therapist would clarify the development of PT or OT.
The proportion of the aged people in Korea has increased rapidly by more than 7% in 2000. A survey says that the changing rate from the aging society to the aged is the highest among the OECD countries. The prevalence rate of the aged population is on the increase. Chronic diseases such as arthritis and strokes limits their body's functions and activities of daily living. It is necessary that functional training. ADL training and continuous treatment be provided by Physical or Occupational Therapists. Discontinuance of treatment can cause the aged people to be in a bed state. The aged people need a variety of home care services at their convenience. Occupational and Physical therapist should play a major role in providing the rehabilitation-base home care services. Further they are expected to contribute to the extension of health care services such as home care and nursing home programs.
The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of the nonverbal voice component of the occupational therapist on the respondent's attitude of acceptance The study method was to randomly selected and provided 4 voice samples which were from the current female occupational therapist and adjusted its pause and tempo to participants who visited the local health center. After providing voices, the participants were asked to complete the survey including the questions about the acceptance attitude according to voice components. The study results showed that there were statistically significant differences in attitudes of "likeability", "credibility," "concentration", "expertise", "comprehension" (p<.05). Findings suggested that client's attitude of acceptance may change according to non-verbal voice components of the therapist.

Objective : This study investigates correlations between job-stress and job-relation feture in occupational therapists in nursing home. Method : For this study, self-reported questionnaires were distributed by online and offline survey to 237 occupational therapist from May to June in 2012. Fifty two of the questionnaires were returned, acceptable 46 survey responses were analyzed, expect 6 unclearly answered. Result : The results correlations between the 6 job-stress factors(confliction of professional role, lack of professional knowledge and skills, problem of personal relationship, disagreement with predecessor(manager, chief, etc), limitation of medical system, inappropriate salary) and 4 job-relation feature(period of job, annual salary, work out of therapy, job stability). Conclusion : This study demonstrates correlations between job-stress factors and job-relation feature in occupational therapist working in nursing home. Job-stress average 3.52points of 5points contributes more affecting the stress. Further research is necessary to more sample occupational therapist in nursing home.

Theory of motivation based on the value of occupational therapists and rewarding images aptitude and interest, high practician, attractive, intellectual was in order. Entrance examination scores as a professional party, value & worth, abuse of authority ceremony was in order. 4. The purpose of this study was to investigate the reliability and the validity of the Korean Occupational Stress Scale(KOSS) in occupational therapists. The data were collected from 214 occupational therapists by using the Korean Occupational Stress Scale. The gathered data were conducted the factor analyses and validation process to ascertain the validity. The results of this study suggested that to estimate occupational stress of occupational therapist, modified version of the KOSS which was consist of eight subscales might be more an appropriate measurement scale than the original version of the KOSS which was composed of seven subscales. Eight subscales of the scale were occupational climate, organizational system, insufficient job control, lack of reward, job demand, interpersonal conflict, job ability and job insecurity, and out of these, job ability was newly added for occupational therapist. Also the results indicated that Cronbach's alpha score of this measurement tool was 0.84, and it means that internal consistency of this scale has good reliability, and the number of questions are also valid. This study has significance to suggest necessary psychometric characteristics of the occupational stress scale for job stress study in occupational therapist.
Objective : The purpose of this study were to investigate perception of occupational therapist and the current conditions about bilateral upper extremity training for patients with stroke. Methods : A survey was conducted on 10 occupational therapists for a month from June, 2016. The questionnaire was consisted total 17 items including 5 area related to characteristics of occupational therapist and patient, bilateral activities with difficulty to perform, bilateral activities used in bilateral training, and bilateral activities which are wanted for therapist to apply in bilateral training. Results : Drive a nail was bilateral activity with difficulty to perform for stroke patient, and unscrew lid of jar was bilateral activity used in bilateral training by occupational therapists. Also, wash one's face was bilateral activity wanted for therapists to use for bilateral training. Conclusions : This study will be used as basic data to select the bilateral upper extremity activities for bilateral upper extremity training.
