  • Purpose of this study is to explore: 1) the difference in color sensibility evaluation, color attractiveness, and attitude toward the product, 2) the difference in the effect of color sensibility evaluation on color attractiveness, and 3) the difference in the effect of color sensibility evaluation on attitude toward the product between the identical clothing product presented in on-line and off-line settings. Experimental method was applied with 230 male and female university students using stimuli of an on-line site as well as an off-line window display presenting the same white t-shirts. Color sensibility factors of white t-shirt were hedonic, stimulating, active, and spatial senses. These color sensibility factors of the clothing product affected product color attractiveness as well as attitude toward the product. Although there were not differences in color sensibility evaluation, product attractiveness, and attitude toward the product between items presented in on-line and off-line settings, difference was found in the effect of color sensibility on the color attractiveness and attitude toward the product. The effect of color sensibility on color attractiveness and attitude toward the product was stronger in on-line than in off-line setting. Hedonic sense was the most important factor influencing attractiveness of product color and attitude toward the product. In addition, spatial sense affected attractiveness of product color in on-line setting; and stimulating sense impacted attitude toward the product in off-line setting. Based on the results implications were generated.

  • The Authors have demonstrated high efficiency hybrid white organic light-emitting diodes (HWOLED) for reduced efficiency roll-off and color stability. It was shown that HWOLED fabricated in this study have the maximum luminance of 46 420 cd/$m^2$ at 8 V (turn-on voltage of 2.7 V), external quantum efficiency of 13.18%, power efficiency of 28.75 lm/W at 1 000 cd/$m^2$, and reduced efficiency roll-off of 2.7 times than control white device. The HWOLED also showed the stable color shift with $\Delta$Commission Internationale de I'Eclairage coordinates coordinates of ${\pm}$ (0.00, 0.00) from 100 to 10000 cd/$m^2$.

  • Greate white sharks, Carcharodon carcharias, are found in almost all the temperate and tropical coastal waters around the world. There have been 19 appearances reported in Korean coastal waters since June 1996 and seven shark attacks have been reported. There are about 400 species of sharks in the world, and 41 species of them have been found in Korean coastal waters. Thirteen of them belong to the Carcharhinidae family, and five of them belong to the Squalidae family. Of these sharks, 15 species of them live off of the East coast, 18 species live off of the West coast, and the other 40 species are distributed around Jeju Island and the South coast. Eleven species of them, including the great white shark, live off of all the coastal waters of Korea.

  • Future electric lights will be composed of white LEDs (Light Emitting Diodes). Indoor wireless optical communication systems utilizing white LED lights have been studying about it. Generally, plural lights are installed in room. Therefore, their optical path difference must be considered. In this paper, the influence of an optical path difference has been investigated and two approaches against this problem are introduced. One uses OOK-RZ (On-Off Keying, Return-to-Zero) coding and the other uses optical OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing). From the results of computer simulations, we have found that these approaches are feasible for the wireless optical communication systems utilizing white LED lights.

  • As a research on the practical approaches of gamma irradiation for the reduction of egg allergy, cakes including gamma-irradiated egg white were manufactured, and rheological characteristics and sensory qualities of the cakes were evaluated. Egg white was separated from whole egg and then gamma-irradiated with the absorbed dose of 10 or 20 kGy White layer cake, pound cake and sponge cake were made with irradiated egg white and used to the subsequent experiments. Firmness of all samples containing irradiated egg white was higher than that of control. Retrogradation of pound and sponge cakes containing irradiated egg white was delayed, and the result showed that the usage of irradiated egg white was better at the point of rheological storage ability. Effects of irradiated egg white on the sensory quality were different depending onto the properties of each product. Radiation off-odor was observed in the a11 samples containing irradiated egg white. To maintain the sensory Qualify, adequate methods such as masking effects should be developed during manufacture.

  • Pinellia koreana K-H Tae & J-H Kim is a recently discovered Korea endemic medicinal plant species whose natural habitat is rapidly destroyed by industrial development. Described in this paper are culture conditions for high frequency plant regeneration via bulblet formation from leaf explant cultures of P. koreana. Leaf explants formed white nodular structures and off-white calluses at a frequency of 91.2% when cultured on MS medium supplemented with 2 mg/L BA and 0.5 mg/L NAA. However, the frequency of white nodular structures and off-white calluses formation was slightly decreased with an increasing concentration of NAA up to 4 mg/L, where the frequency reached 31.7%. Most petiole explants did not form white nodular structures and off-white calluses except the combination treatment of 2 mg/L BA and 2 mg/L NAA. Upon transfer onto MS basal medium, over 90% of nodular structures gave rise to numerous bulblets and developed into plantlets. Plantlets regenerated from bulblets were transplanted to potting soil and grown to maturity at a survival rate of over 95% in a growth chamber. Therefore, the in vitro plant regeneration system of P. koreana obtained in this study will be useful for mass propagation and long-term preservation of genetic resources of P. koreana.

  • The changing pattern of living and communication, combined with wireless technologies has given rise to more fluidity between spaces and relationships. Despite this, the way we use technology and the qualities of product and service are limited. For example, ON or OFF is like BLACK or WHITE, it presents a harsh distinction This severity in definition can make me uncomfortable when using products. The aim of this project is to improve the use of a product's functions and Qualities. As an example, the switch button has limited the possible interaction of a product. even each function is different. 1 intend this study is to imbue the switch with a greater freedom of interpretation. What will happen If I create a journey in between on and off\ulcorner For instance, time, pattern, state, rhythm and so on are analogue properties of a switch. The playful, spontaneous, and enjoyable behaviour of a switch will be able to bring other qualities of function and service. The switch will then be able to be an object with more human qualities, not simply an on and off button.

  • In outdoor visible light communication channels and LED road illumination communications for the intelligent transport systems (ITS), inter symbol interference (ISI) due to multipath propagation prevents high data rate transmission. Indoor wireless optical communication systems utilizing white LED lights and on the road illumination have been studying about it. Generally, plural lights are installed in room and considered to the traffic information system using existing LED traffic lights. Therefore, their optical path difference must be considered. In this paper, the influence of an optical path difference has been investigated and two approaches against this problem are introduced. One uses on-off keying, return-to-zero (OOK-RZ) coding and the other uses optical orthogonal frequency division multiplexing(OFDM).

  • In this study, we report oscillations of the total intensity of white light loops in the off-limb solar flare observed in 2017-Sep-10 with the SDO/HMI. The total intensity oscillations are correlated with the area of the flaring loop in the plane of the sky. The oscillatory pattern is well fitted by two consecutive damped oscillations. The period and damping time of the first oscillation are 12.9 minutes and 9.9 minutes, respectively. Those of the second oscillation are 11.7 minutes and 15.4 minutes. The excitation of the oscillations coincides with two consecutive type III radio bursts observed in meter range. Assuming the oscillations are magnetoacoustic waves in the flaring loops with the loop lengths ranging from 30 to 90 Mm, the temperature of the white light emitting loops could be in the range from 0.3 MK to 2.6 MK.
