아름다움을 추구하려는 외모의 중대성이 부각됨에 따라 모발 염색을 포함한 미용 산업의 시장규모도 점점 커지고 있다. 헤어살롱에서 보편적으로 사용되는 산화염모제를 지속적으로 시술할 경우 모발 손상은 피할 수 없게 되므로 중명도 산화염모제를 시술한 모발의 형태학적 변화에 관하여 연구하였다. 실험결과 control과 6N-7N 실험군 간에 Max. load, Max. stress, Max. elongation, Break load, Break stress, Break elongation, strain 구간에 따른 Max. modulus 및 Tangential modulus는 유의적인 차이를 보였다. Max. load, Max. stress, Max. elongation, Break load, Break stress 및 Break elongation은 모두 대조군이 가장 높은 값으로 나타났으며, 실험군의 처리에 따른 유의적으로 감소하는 경향은 보이지 않았다. strain 평가구간에 따른 Max. modulus와 Tangential modulus는 대조군과 실험군 간에 차이가 있음에도 일정하게 증가하거나 감소하는 경향이 뚜렷하게 나타나지 않았다. 본 연구를 통해 모발손상을 최소화하는 산화염모제 개발 연구의 기초자료 제공 및 헤어디자이너들의 산화염모제와 모발 건강과의 상관관계 이해를 위한 초석을 다지고자 한다.

Oxidative hair color is currently widely used because of its beautiful light color and good dyeability. In this study, hair color, oxidative agents, and dye intermediate were reacted. Modifier, which changes color with various hue, and alkaline agent, which opens the cuticle of hair fiber and enhances the dyeing reaction, were added. For gel formation, isocetyl alcohol was used as solvent in preparing three kinds of permanent oxidative hair color. Physiochemical study of prepared permanent oxidative hair color was done for basic information acquisition. Acid perspiration test, pH measurement both at room temperature and at high temperature, drop movement test, dyeability efficiency upon the amount of hydrogen peroxide added, and humidity fastness were studied. Shampoo fastness and light fastness of prepared permanent oxidative hair color dyed hair sample were also investigated. All three kinds of hair color prepared showed good properties overall, however, dyed hair sample became reddish upon shampoo fastness and lightfastness tests.

In this study, we investigated the effects of oxidative permanent hair coloring agents on the dyeability and the damage of human hair. p-phenylenediamine and toluene-2.5-diamine sulfate were used as a hair coloring agent precursers. The degree of dyeability was checked by the change of CIELAB $L^*$ value according to dyeing time. And the damage of hair was evaluated by the tensile strength and morphological change of hair in SEM. When the hair was dyed, the CIELAB $L^*$ value was decreased with dyeing time regardless of the type of precursers. But when the hair was dyed after nutritional treatment, the CIELAB $L^*$ value showed lower level. This means that the nutritional treatment covers the scale of hair and protects the hair from the chemicals.

미적(美的) 욕구표현의 수단으로 현대인은 외모 치장에 많은 시간과 경제적 투자를 하고 있으며, 외모의 대부분을 차지하는 헤어미용 중 멋 내기 모발 염색을 많이 애용하지만 이에 따른 모발손상도 심각한 상태이다. 그러므로 모발손상을 최소화하면서 멋 내기를 유도할 수 있도록 산화염모제에 따른 모발 인장강도에 관한 연구를 하고자 한다. 연구결과 대조군과 8N-10N 실험군 간 최대하중, 최대 인장강도, 최대 신장률, 파단 하중, 파단 강도, 파단 신장률, 평가구간에 따른 최대 모듈러스 및 접선 계수 등은 서로 유의적인 차이를 보였다. Strain 구간에 따른 최대 모듈러스와 접선 계수인 tangential modulus는 대조군과 실험군 간 차이가 있음에도 일정하게 증가하거나 감소하는 경향이 뚜렷하게 나타나지 않았다. 따라서 본 연구는 산업체 현장에서 애용되고 있는 고명도(高明渡) 멋 내기 산화염모제 시술을 통한 모발손상과의 상관관계를 데이터로 규명함으로써 헤어미용 교육 자료로서의 활용 및 헤어디자이너의 올바른 산화염모제 선택을 위한 응용자료를 제공하고자 한다.
