Packet voice protocols have been realized in many research works. But few studies for the interconnection of LAN and PABX to facilitate the voice communication have been done. In this paper, the gateway to interconnect the Ethernet LAN with the existing PABX telephone network for voice communication has been designed and implemented. The implemented gateway protocol is a modified protocol based on CCITT`s G.764 packetized voice protocol. To accomplish this goal the hardware system has been realized, which is divided into five parts: interface part with the telephone line, voice-processing part, PC interface part, controller part, and finally DTMF part. And the gateway software is divided into three parts: interface to make use of the packet driver which drives the network card, driver to drive the PABX gateway, and the protocol handling part.

CDMA 이동전화 서비스가 활성화되면서 유선과 무선의 경계를 허무는 대표적인 서비스로 Wireless PABX 서비스가 등장하였다. PABX(사설교환기)가 설치된 지역에서는 이동전화 단말기가 무선전화기를 대체하며 이 지역을 벗어날 경우 일반 이동전화기로 동작하는 서비스이다. SKTelecom은 Wireless PABX(이하 모바일존 서비스) 서비스를 제공하기 위해 기존의 CDMA2000 1X 시스템의 확장 시스템과, ALL-IP 시스템의 Multi-vendor 시스템을 채택하였다. 이러한 Multi-vendor 시스템의 관리와 서비스 품질관리를 위하여 SKTelecom은 고장관리시스템 구성 관리시스템, 서비스 품질감시 시스템 등의 망관리시스템을 구현하였다. 본 논문은 이동전화 서비스와 모바일존 서비스의 차이점을 분석하고, 고장/구성/품질관리 시스템을 통한 효율적인 서비스 관리방안을 제안한다.

In tis paper we researched the implementation methodology and techniques for the high real-time responsive operating system of an ISDN PABX system. The operating system we developed takes a high role as a dedicated real-time operating system for PABX systems. It provides the functions and synchronization, interprocessor communication, interrupt processing, and data I/O processing. And also it provides lots of real-time processing functions for supproting various real-time applications. Finally, we evaluated the performance by measuring the best, the average, and the worst-case execution time of all functions implemented in this real-time operating system.

In this paper we wanted to implement a reliable ISDN PABX that could maintain the user's voice and data communication services, even when there might be an unexpected system error. In order to implement the fault-tolerance we made this ISDN PABX composed of an active and a standby side by duplicating the main control parts. Whenever a critical error occurs in the active side, it makes side exchange so that the standby side as anew active side continues to proceed the currently active voice or data services. Finally, through the performance evaluation we proved that user's voice or data communication can be serviced without any sense in spite of an system error.

In this papre we implemented the ISDN S-interface Card for a PABX that makes it possible to accommodate ISDN terminals. In order to implement this ISDN cand we first designed entire structure and functions of its hardware and software. And then based on this we implemented server and entity, inter-entity communication, ISDN protocols, and call processing interface for realizing ISDN interface functions. Finally we evaluated the performance of the implemented ISDN card by measuring the response time of call setup and release.
