  • A silicone softner (SS-5), a permanent press (PP) finish, was prepared by blending silicone oil KF-96 (as a lubricating component) and beef tallow hardened oil (as a softening component) which was synthesized from fatty polyamide salts. The prepared SS-5 and the PP finishing resin were applied to PP finishing cotton cloth and P/C gingham sample by one-bath method. The properties such as crease recovery, tear strength, and bending resistance were tested. The samples treated with SS-5 and PP finishing resin showed improved properties when comparing with the untreated ones, with the ones treated only with PP finishing resin, with ones treated with commercial PP finishing softners and PP finishing resin. The grades of fabric samples treated with 3% SS-5 were fifth grade in the bending resistance test.

  • Polypropylene(PP) is a textile material with various functions such as eco-friendliness, lightness, and elasticity. Although most synthetic fibers can be dyed and finished, but original PP is difficult to dye or finish due to its extremely hydrophobic properties, so its application expansion is limited. In order to solve this problem, dyeable PP was developed, and various researches on textiles for clothing such as mass production technology, fine fiberization and performance improvement are in progress. Plasma treatment is a processing method for modifying the surface of fabrics, and has effects such as hydrophilization, deepening color, improving adhesion, and surface polymerization. In this study, plasma treatment was applied to study changes in hydrophilization properties of dyeable PP, surface changes before and after plasma treatment and performance according to hydrophilization.

  • An emulsion of octadecamidoethylaminoethyl dodecate (which provides softness) and an emulsion silicone oil KF-96 (which provides lubricity) were separately synthesized. Then PP finishing softeners (SSA-7) was prepared by blending of the synthesized emulsions with beef tallow hardened oil (a softness improving agent). PP finishing treatment was carried out with the prepared SSA-7 and PP finishing resin by a one bath method, and several physical properties were tested. As a result, crease recovery, tear strength, softness, lubricity, and bending resistance were all good, indicating that the prepared SSA-7 is a good PP finishing softener.

  • An attempt was made to synthesize an ammonia adsorbent by the photo-induced grafting of styrene (St) onto polypropylene (PP) nonwoven using benzoin ethyl ether (BEE) as a photosensitizer with urea and trimethylol propane triacrylate in methanol medium. As styrene concentration was increased, the graft yield was increased. It was also found that the graft yield increased with reaction time. The polypropylene grafted with styrene (PP-g-St) was sulfonated by chlorosulfonic acid in dichloroethane and complexed with several metal ion, such as $cO^{+2}$, $nI^{+2}$, $cU^{+2}$, $Zn^{+2}$. The amount of ammonia gas adsorbed by these sample was dependent on the degree of sulfonation, adsorption time, and ammonia gas pressure. The adsorption capacity of ammonia gas by the sulfonated PP-g-St(SPP-g-St) nonwoven with 4. 25 mmol $H^+$/g was 6.61 mmol/g. Metal ion complexed SPP-g-St nonwovens had higher adsorption capacity than SPP-g-St nonwoven and the $Co^{+2}$ complexed SPP-g-St showed 9.90 mmol $NH_3$/g, which was much higher than that of active carbon or silica gel.

  • As a part of a series of study, this study reviewed the fire proof characteristics of high performance concrete RC column members using non-stripping form that accompanied metal lath lateral confinement to prevent spalling of high performance concrete which is increasingly used recently, and the results are as follows. Flow and air amount both satisfied target range, and compressive strength, over 80MPa at age 28 days, showed high strength range. As for spalling characteristics, in the case of plain in which no fiber is mixed, severe spalling occurred, and in the case of 0.05% nylon("NY" hereinafter)+polypropylene("PP" hereinafter) fiber mixture, only surface area experienced partial spalling. Regarding non-stripping form changes, both non-stripping 25-20 and non-stripping 50-20 experienced spalling at finish material area, and non-stripping 50-20 showed better spalling proof performance than non-stripping 25-20. In the case of non-stripping 50-40, spalling was prevented, and while mass reduction rate was less than 10%, its temperature hysteresis showed the most excellent fire proof performance with base metal surface area maximum temperature $376.1^{\circ}C$.

Korean Journal of Sport Biomechanics, Vol. 15, No. 1, pp. 75-89, 2005. In this study, weight carrying pattern analysis and comparison method of four foot region were suggested. We used three types of club(driver, iron7, pitching wedge). This analysis method can compare between top class golfer and beginner. And the comparison data can be used to correct the swing pose of trainee. If motion analysis system, which can measure the swing speed and instantaneous acceleration at the point of hitting a ball, is combined with this plantar foot force analysis method, new design development of golf shoes to increase comfort and ball flight distance will be available. 1. Address acting, forces concentrated in rare foot regions and lateral foot of right foot. Back swing top acting, relatively high force occurred in medial forefoot region of left foot and forefoot region of right foot. Impact acting, high force value observed in the lateral rarefoot region of left foot and medial forefoot region of right foot. Finish acting, force concentration observed on the lateral region and rarefoot region of left foot. 2. Forces were increased in address of right foot with clubs length increased. All clubs, back swing top acting, high force value observed in the lateral forefoot region of right foot. All clubs, in impact, high force value observed in the lateral rarefoot region of left foot and medial forefoot region of right foot. Finish acting, force concentration observed on the rarefoot region in driver and lateral foot region in iron on left foot. 3.
