This study aimed to identify the relationship between the control and purchasing methods of food items and the restaurant business performance. To achieve the purpose of this study, it reviewed the theoretical background about the control of food items, purchasing methods of those items and restaurant business performance. The result of this study was shown as follows. 1) Distribution method of food items has an effect on business performance. 2) Satisfaction with controlling food items and distribution method of food items have an effect on business performance. 3) Satisfaction with controlling food items and distribution method of food items have an effect on satisfaction with business performance.

For the past several years, performance assessment has been widely used by mathematics teachers. The superiority of performance assessment items compare to multiple choice items has been discussed by many researchers, however these discussions tend to be lack of empirical data. Thus, this study aims to examine the effectiveness of tree response items in comparison with multiple choice items. Using the information function in Item Response Theory(IRT), item information of free response items and multiple choice items from the Third International Mathematics and Science Study-Repeat(TIMSS-R) were obtained and compared. Test informations of the whole mathematics area as well as each content area of mathematics were computed. On average, tree response items yielded more information than multiple choice items, especially in measurement and data interpretation. This study also revealed that free response items estimated students' mathematics ability more accurately than multiple choice items with smaller number of items.

In many cases, populations in the real world are composed of different subpopulations. Furthermore, in addition to the heterogeneity in the lifetimes of items, there also could be the heterogeneity in the efficiency or performance of items. In this case, the reliability measures should be defined in a different way. In this article, we consider the mixture of stochastically ordered subpopulations. Efficiency based reliability measures are defined when the performance of items in the subpopulations has different levels. Discrete and continuous mixing models are studied. The concept of the association between the lifetime and the performance of items in subpopulations is defined. It is shown that the consideration of efficiency can change the shape of the mixture failure rate dramatically especially when the lifetime and the performance of items in subpopulations are negatively associated. Furthermore, the modelling method proposed in this paper is applied to the case when the stress levels of the operating environment of items are different.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop a performance tool to evaluate operating room nurses. Method: In the first stage, 59 preliminary items were selected after two focus group meetings were carried out using as background a reference review. At this stage 59 items were developed. Next, the selected preliminary items were modified by an expert group of nurses with over 10 years experience, nurses holding doctoral degrees and professors in nursing. In the third and fourth stage, these items were analyzed by the expert group to determine validity and tested by hospital nurses with over 10 years experience to determine reliability Results: For the final tool, the 59 items, 47 items for the performance evaluation dimension and 12 items for the competence evaluation dimension were found to be valid and reliable. Cronbach's $\alpha$ was .9622, a promising alpha value for the total instrument. Conclusion: This tool is an efficient performance evaluation instrument providing meaningful feedback for operating room nurses.

This paper deals with performance measures for recoverable item control where the demand process is time-dependent. The performance measure is essential for modelling a multi-echelon inventory problem for repairable items. Most repairable items are expensive and have a great influence on the performance of equipments. Thus the information on these items is very useful to the decision maker. The purpose of this paper is to derive the system performance measure and the part(component) performance measure considering a cannibalization policy under the dynamic environment.

A quality inspection procedure interchangeably using the performance and screening variables is proposed. At the start of the inspection, the performance variable is measured for all items. As soon as i consecutive items are found to be free of defects, the screening variable is measured instead of the performance variable. If an item is rejected, the inspection based on the performance variable is resumed. All nonconforming items found in the inspection are either reworked or replaced with conforming items. It is assumed that the performance variable is dichotomous, and the screening variable given the performance variable is normally distributed with known mean and variance. The average outgoing quality (AOQ) expression is derived, and the methods of finding the inspection procedure with a specified average outgoing quality limit (AOQL) are presented.

Many firms have used e-business systems to efficiently perform their business in an e-business management environment. Firms have applied their e-business capabilities to management activities in order to raise the performance of business execution in a global market environment. In this business environment, the analysis and management for the performance of a firm's e-business execution need to efficiently build and improve its e-business capability and competitiveness. This research presents an analysis tool for a firm e-business performance to efficiently manage and improve the e-business performance in this environment. The analysis items for a firm e-business performance are developed and extracted from the major components of a general firm performance in previous studies. The generated analysis items were verified by factor analysis and reliability analysis through a pilot test. The developed twelve items were extracted from twenty items by these analyses. This study developed a 12-item tool that can totally analyze a firm e-business performance in an e-business management environment. The developed tool consists of four analysis factors and twelve items.

The physical function. congnitive performance and the depression of the elderly persons of over 60 years in Pusan Kyungnam Province are studied. For the survey, prepared is a questionnaire which includes 14 items for the physical function, 8 items for the cognitive performance and 12 items for the depression. totaling 34 items. The interactions of the items of each category are analyzed in terms of daily life performances. The results show that. the elders have the problems in cognitive performance rather than the physical function or depression, and there are great variances depending on the individual's background.

The purpose of this study is to develop mathematics performance assessment items for the 8th graders and to analyze their performance ability. First, five-themes were selected : 'Calculator', 'Cut and Paste', 'Rule finding', 'Place Assignment', 'My thinking'. Then, the assistance of Mathematics education specialists and Teachers, 10 P. A. items consisting of two subtasks and their evaluation rubric were developed. Then, items were revised by the results of pilot test. And, final version of items were administrated to the 8th graders of three regions(Seoul, Chongiu, Chungp$\acute{y}$ong). Through analyzing the performance ability of the subjects assessment items, the following conclusion were obtained: They were very insufficient in the ability to find some patterns in the given problem situation and to describe logically the patterns in terms of mathematical terminology. It is believed because they were familiar with the objective test to take one or short answer.

Items and methods of synchronous type AC servo motor's performance evaluation were researched. Through the research, nine items of performance evaluations were selected from study of IEC standards and domestic technical reports. Using the proposed evaluation items and methods, performance evaluations were carried out into two domestic products and one foreign product for analysis of what results means. The results show that the proposed items of performance evaluations are reasonable and proper for performance evaluations of AC servo motors.
