  • This study identifies the basic personality types of subjects who use the healing garden and investigates their plants-preference. The purpose of the study is to provide a basic information about planting plan, considered as a main parts of healing garden. Survey results are stated as follows: First, the order of preference of instinct type tree is Prunus yedoensis, zelkova serrata, Phyllostachys Bambusoides. On the other hands, the order of preference of feeling and thinking type is Prunus yedoensis, zelkova serrata, Metasequoia glyptostroboides. Second, the order of preference of instinct type of flowers is Rosa hybrida, Hibiscus syriacus, Forsythia koreana. However, the preference of emotional type is the order of Rosa hybrida, cosmos bipinnatus, Helianthus annuus and the preference of accident type is the order of Rosa hybrida, Hibiscus syriacus, Helianthus annuus. Third, for the color preferences, instinct type prefer yellow color, feeling type and thinking type prefer red color. Lastly, when people view plants, most personality types are interested in flower firstly, and secondly type of tree and scent. In other words, we can assume that people are interested in the flowers, most noticeable in plants. This study will enhance the effectiveness of the healing garden by providing relevant information regarding healing garden planting plan. Future research should consider to widen the range of target of investigation in order to perform additional comparison analysis.

Gender, occupation, and height of consumers had a considerable effect on their on their intention of purchasing a preference of this system. 2. Subjects, who were dissatisfied with the limited option of purching a business suit in retail shops, had a significant intention of purchasing a business suit through the Easy-Order System. 3. It had no effect on consumers\\` preference and purching intention of the Easy-Order System whether or not they recognize this system. And the Easy-Order System is not estimated to have major repercussions over consumers by now.

  • This study applied the Q methodology to the graduate students of the department of food service management in Seoul to grasp the subjective perception of customers using the big blur phenomenon and the introduction of the kiosk. As a result of the analysis, five types were derived. (N = 6): Fast payment and various order preference types, the second type (N = 6): Earning and discount benefits preference type, the third type (N = 3): Simple order preference type, The fourth type (N = 2): Employee service preference type, and the fifth type (N = 3): Safety payment preference type. In the future, the research on the Big Blur phenomenon of eating out company will be refined through more detailed Q methodological questions with analytical techniques based on extensive literature and empirical studies, and to analyze the various opinions of respondents more concretely and objectively.

  • Recently, there has been growing interest in barrier-free design which makes safe and convenient space for every pedestrian, not only the non-disabled but also the disabled. The purpose of this study is to suggest the data on the pavement materials of barrier-free pedestrian environment in view of universal design. In order to this, the research is focused on evaluating the visual preference and preference factors for pavement scenery, which can be changed by pavement materials. And this research is also comparing the visual preference and preference factors of the disabled with that of the non-disabled. A multi-regression analysis method is adopted to analyse the correlation between the visual preference for pavement scenery and preference factors in this study. The result of this analysis is as follows. Firstly, there are some differences of visual preference for the pavement material between the disabled and the non-disabled. Secondly, independent variables influencing on preference are similar between two groups. Thirdly, there are some differences in the priority of preference between the disabled and the non-disabled. This study will contribute to the field of barrier-free design and sustainable development projects in order to maximize the human being's satisfaction.

  • This investigation, based on empirical research, examined the role of complexity and order in the aesthetic experience of architectural forms. The basic assumption of this study was that perception in architectural form is a process of interpreting a pattern in a reductive way. Thus, perceptual arousal is not determined by the absolute complexity of a configuration. Rather, the actual perceived complexity is a function of the organization of the system (order). In addition, complexity and order were defined and categorized into four variables according to their significant characteristics; simple order, complex order, random complexity, and lawful complexity. The series of experiments confirmed that there is a point on the psychological complexity dimension which is optimal. By demonstrating that consensual and individual aesthetic preference can be measured to have a unimodal function of relationship with complexity, the results of the experiments indicated that complexity and orderliness are effective design factors for enhancing aesthetics of a building facade. This investigation offered a conceptual framework that relates the physical (architectural form) and psychological factors (complexity and order) operating in the aesthetic experience of building facades.

The data were obtained from market research of 12 department stores which were located in Seoul, Daegu and Busan, and from questionnaires completed by 356 women in Daegu area whose age was 20 years and older. The SPSS package was used for data analysis which includes frequency, percentage, $X^2$test, ANOVA, and Scheffe test. Cotton was the most popular fiber for coverings and fillings. Color preference was in the order of pastel, non-chromatic, vivid, and white color and pattern preference was in order of floral, check, and stripe pattern. Practicality, color and fabric were the most important factors and price was the most unsatisfied factor when bedclothes were purchased. Also, information for bedclothes was obtained mainly through internet shopping, home shopping or catalog shopping.

  • Imprecision of evaluation or lack of prior information about preference can be an obstacle for decision maker in representing his strict preference. Therefore, fuzziness of preference can take place, and in addition, intransitivity or incomparability of preference becomes the critical difficulty in making complete preorder of alternatives. In order to get better solution and to improve practical usufulness, MCDM should be established as a pseudo-criterion model that include fuzzy preference. In this paper, we suggest a pseudo-criterion model that can make complete preorder of alternatives by metric distance measure.
