  • Advances in computer technology have made it possible for educators to design and develop their own multimedia instructional materials using visuals such as animation. Although, it generally believed that the Mew attribute of computer animation facilitates student's foaming, there is still relatively little research regarding the way in which student benefit from multimedia instruction using 3-D animation. The purpose of this research was to examine and determine whether the use of 3-D computer generated images is an effective teaching device for hoping children to understand color theory, and enhancing the tractional methods. In this study, a 3-D computer generated presentation was creative and it demonstrated the mixing of primary color to obtain secondary color. Three research hypotheses were developed in this research. The first hypothesis stated that 3-D computer generated presentation will be an effective device for teaching color theory. The second was that the presentation will be eye-catching and it will hold the children's attention. The third was presentation would enhance the children's memory of color. Results of this study show that visualization technology and the use of 3-D graphics ends can be employed in the field of art education to increases a chi1d's understanding of color theory. Also, it was proved that teaching children through 3-D graphic is an highly effective teaching tool. Thus this research is a oontribution to both children's au education and the relatively new field of computer animation.

  • The purpose of this research is to study a case of allegory and experimental presentation technique in Film by Zbigniew Rybczynski. It is to analyse this study is to inquire into the fact that experimental animation carries diverse interpretation of comtemporary art and the purpose of this study is to identify certain style through the interpretation of allegory focused on film Tango which has expanded the field of experimental animation with the unique form of the film structure and technique. Therefore, in this research, I would highlight the characteristic of allegory in Film by Zbigniew Rybczynski and research the experimental presentation technique that appears in experimental animation focused on "fragmentation" which are the expressive style of allegory.

  • The study investigated the effects of types of presentation and cognitive load on multimedia learning. In experiment 1, subject were 90 elementary school students. The subject were assigned in three conditions: Narration and Text (NT) condition, Animation and Narration(AN) condition, Animation and Text(AT) condition. The result showed that AN condition improved the learning performances in comparison with AT condition, NT condition. Experiment 2 was administrated to 87 undergraduate students. They were participated in three conditions, also. The conditions were Animation and Text (AT) condition, Animation and Narration (AN) condition, Animation, Narration and Text (ANT) condition. the results showed that AN condition was greater in AT, ANT condition. The results from a series of these experiments imply that varying the types of presentation of identical learning materials had influences on the performances. Multimedia presentation(animation and verbal conditions) improved the learning performances in comparison with monomedia presentation(verbal condition), and the advantage was raised when learners were provided the learning material in the multimodal and multimedia environment(AN condition). Also, it came out that redundant text identical to narration disrupted learning when learners were in the picture (either animation or illustration) and narration conditions. Likewise, also for adults, performances were improved in the multimodal conditions and redundant text identical to narration was not helpful for learning. These results are evidences for the dual-coding theory and the cognitive load theory.

  • This study was conducted to investigate the interaction effects of various presentation types of graphics and the individual differences in need for cognition on comprehension, interestingness, and motivation. The depiction of the operation of a bicycle tire pump was presented in one of the following conditions, (a) simultaneous presentation, (b) successive presentation, (c) self-pace presentation, (d) animation. For younger students, animated graphics are rated more enjoyable and motivating only when they are low in NFC. If they are high in NFC, animated graphics are not more effective than static graphics in terms of comprehension, interest, and motivation. On the other hand, for older students, self-paced static graphics are more interesting and enjoyable than the animated graphics regardless of their NFC score. These results suggest that the animated graphics are not always beneficial for loaming and motivation.

  • The perceptual presentation of interior design is to represent an interior space planned by a designer as if people see it in reality. The perceptual presentation methods that have developed are perspectives, full-scale models, small-scale models, photography of models, video taping of models, computer images, computer animation, and virtual reality. The purpose of this study is to investigate limits of those perceptual presentation methods according to their characteristics. The methods have characteristics that are either static or dynamic and either monoscopic or stereoscopic. In terms of representing interior spaces and perceiving interior spaces, the dynamic characteristic is more helpful than the static characteristic because the dynamic characteristic provides consecutively changing views of interior spaces when people walk around within the spaces. The stereoscopic characteristic is more helpful than the monoscopic characteristic because the stereoscopic characteristic provides the binocular depth perception. Full-scale models, small-scale models, virtual reality that have dynamic and stereoscopic characteristics, are most effective. The next effective methods are video taping of models and computer animation that have dynamic and monoscopic characteristics. The last effective methods are perspectives and photography of models that have static and monoscopic characteristics. But the most effective methods can not be said that those are perfect because each of them still has limits. Designers have to consider the limits of each perceptual presentation method to find a way that shows their designs most effectively. To develop the perceptual presentation methods of interior design, researchers should focus on the helpful characteristics that are dynamic and stereoscopic.

  • In making animation product, it is utmost important to produce comic scene using emphasis and exaggeration. This study aims to research on the comic presentation of animation through application of exaggeration and prominence. First, it suggests going under image extraction experiment and moving-shot-method as a mode of measuring three dimensional shot. Moreover, an analysis of the product of three dimensional shot of animation suggests a comic effect.

  • The Animation Character is high value-added industry in an aspect of economic value. Because Animation Character creates various synergic effects. First and most importantly, the value of animation character is role of communicator in mass culture. The diverse personality and behavior of Animation character affects masses's a way of thinking and act. But the personality and behavior of Animation character express an extreme inclination, for the most part. And presentation of role's model that is necessary for maintenance and continuance of mass society is Auctioning wrongfully.

  • The Korean animation has enjoyed the brisk formation and establishment of its world-class infra for the last several years without unified titles or concepts, under the name of a national strategic project in the age of digital image. It also enjoys its new evaluation as digital animation that it's one of the greatest money making business in the non-education and frivolous culture and has the closest relations with the modern time. A great portion of popular image media has been taken by animation for the last 30 years. In this paper we propose a motion algorithm using an animation technology. It was developed for education purposed and accessible through the internet. For instance, in Cyber Clam Museum, 1000 gesture contents, the visual processes were used to design a screen with a realistic image and create an animation that makes possible show at 360 and every such transformation as translation, rotation, and scaling can be applied in the image interactively for the convenient and effective viewing.

  • In this paper, we describe an educational tool for presentation which shows teacher's whole handwriting process to learners named HPT(Handwriting Presentation Tool). We assume that presenting writing processes has rich educational information. We believe this information influences learners' understandings of the provided learning contents. Animation functions of popular presentation tools are not enough to represent this information. Our presentation tool enables the lessons with a new type of presentation slides which combine advantages of traditional blackboards and popular presentation tools.
