This study was conducted to evaluate needs and intention of hospitals and clinics to join network with private health insurance, and to discover obstacles of participation of the networks. We carried out the questionnaire survey of the network managers of 236 medical institutions between December 27th, 2005 and January 25th, 2006. The result showed that the participation intention of network were different to the type of hospitals. Primary care clinics answered that participation intention and possibility were low. Secondary care hospitals was relatively affirmative regarding a network participation. Tertiary hospitals responded that they need the network with private health insurance, but participation possibility was lower than needs. The reason is that they worried about the side effect of the network with private health insurance. Depending on the type of hospitals, expected benefits from networking with private health insurance were different. We found that hospitals which already had affiliation with other hospitals answered in the affirmative regarding the network with private health insurance. In conclusion, to increase the effectiveness of network systems between hospital and private health insurance, the network is expected to consider different needs of the each hospital.

The Cities that recently developed have been applied to private network for establishing information communication network system. The local governments planning or pursuing U-City construction should also choose the private network in consideration of operation and maintenance. In viewpoint of agency operating u-City, it is necessary to integrate traditional and new network. However, there has been lack of guides to choose U-City network considering the economic analysis between private and leased network. This study analyzed the characteristics of private and leased network, and the cost-benefit by estimating the network cost and communication demand focused on U-services that are recently applied. This study purpose a guide for efficient U-City information network selected by estimating ROI(Return On Investment) and BEP(Break Even Point) for establishing private and leased network.

A VPN is a private network that uses a public network to connect remote sites or users together. As its popularity grows, companies, organization and even the government turned to it as a means of extending their own networks. To setup a Virtual Private a proper IP VPN Architecture must first be selected. In this paper, the types of IP Virtual Private Network Architecture like the MPLS-Based, IPSec-Based and the SSL/TLS-Based are discussed and compared. The comparison may serve as a guide for selecting the proper IP Virtual Private Network Architecture that is suitable for the company's needs.

This paper considers the problem of designing logical tunnels in virtual private networks considering QoS guarantee which restricts the number of tunnel hops for each traffic routing. The previous researches focused on the design of logical tunnel itself and Steiner-tree based solution algorithms were proposed. However, we show that for some objective settings it is not sufficient and is necessary to consider both physical and logical connectivity at the same time. Thereupon, the concept of the layered network is applied to the logical tunnel design problem in virtual private networks. The layered network approach considers the design of logical tunnel as well as its physical routing and we propose a modified branch-and-price algorithm which is known to solve layered network design problems effectively. To show the performance of the proposed algorithm, computational experiments have been done and the results show that the proposed algorithm solves the given problem efficiently and effectively.

Virtual Private Network is a method which can use as a private network using private line. The quality of security of virtual private network is influenced by security auditability, cryptographic support, user data protection, access control, etc., and efficiency is influenced by throughput, latency, the number of cession, etc. In this paper, we constructed a evaluation model based on CC(ISO/IEC 15408) and the quality evaluation standard ISO/IEC 25000 series to evaluate the quality level about efficiency with security performance of virtual private network. We think that this study will contribute to construct the system which can evaluate the quality of virtual private network based on CC and ISO quality evaluation standard.

NAT로 운영되는 private network에서 IP 전화 시스템을 지원하기 위해서는 caller 단말, gatekeeper 서버, callee 단말간에 교환되는 H.225.0 메시지와 H.245 메시지의 NAT 주소 변환이 동적인 방법으로 투명하게 이루어져야한다. 이를 위하여 본 논문에서는 NAT 가 탑재된 라우터와 gatekeeper 서버를 연동하는 구조를 제안한다. 제안한 방식은 gatekeeper 와 NAT 라우터 사이에 주소 변환을 위한 정보교환용의 channel 을 여는 단계, gatekeeper 가 외부 단말로 향하는 H.225.0, H245 메시지를 받았을 때 NAT 라우터에게 private 주소 정보를 알려주는 단계, NAT 라우터가 gatekeeper로부터 private 주소정보를 받았을 때 public 주소 정보를 할당하여 gatekeeper에게 알려주는 단계, gatekeeper가 할당받은 public 주소 정보를 반영하여 외부 단말로 향하는 H.225.0, H.245 메시지를 재생성하는 단계 마지막으로 호가 종료될 때 gatekeeper 가 NAT 라우터로부터 할당받은 NAT 자원을 반환하는 단계로 구성된다. 이러한 연동 구조를 사용함으로써 NAT 환경에서 H.323 개체들간의 signalling 메시지와 음성 데이터의 송수신을 보장할 수 있다.

While hackers in early days intended to disable and devastate the system, these days people hack and attack the network in order to steal customer's private information from the big corporate, which changes the nature of the crime to cyber attack for money, eventually causing a lot of damages. One of the most efficient ways to protect this kind of network attack is VPN, referring to Virtual Private Network. VPN is a private networking technology that makes the public network available for only those who are concerned. This paper will suggest the VPN technology that can be applied to Linux server and related protocols and figure the applicable VPN out.

Today various IoT platforms exist, but most of them only consider IPv6, without other types of network including private network. They support, therefore, the private network to use virtual private network or through the hardware gateway. To solve this limitation, we propose a IoT platform that provides IoT Services on private networks. Also we verify this platform though constructing a testbed.

This study is aim to research trend of private security and to suggest direction of improvement to sector of private security. This study has been to analyzed to be useful social network analysis(particularly Degree Centrality and Clossness Centrality) for using typical research method about trend of academic subject. As a result of Degree Centrality and Clossness Centrality, Individual factors such as Job Stress and Job satisfaction of private security are more keyword than institutional factors and policy factors such as Security Services Industry Act and training for Private Security guards. It means that research trend of private security are to study Individual factors rather than institutional factors and policy factors. But, this study is a limit as follows; First, An object of study is only to searching article in National Assembly Liberary. A follow-up studies are need to expand the range of an object of study for private security.

A combination of VPNs and dial-up access, such as DSL and Cable, usually provides the cost-effective solution as the substitution of private networks on high-cost leased line. The business demand for high availability has increased with VPN spreading. This paper presents the schemes for a high availability of network access and a load balancing of network traffic in VPN gateways by using multiple links or multihoming capability based on active-active approach. The high availability and load balancing of network links can be achieved by duplicating external network access into multiple independent links. This can provide a continuous network connection to internal users even if one of the links is failed. Moreover, it can provide twice network bandwidth by distributing the traffic into the links. Static and dynamic algorithms are proposed as the load balancing algorithms.
