열처리공정의 지능형 웹 모니터링 산업용 공정제어 시스템 개발 (The Development of Industry Operation Control System using Intelligent Web Monitoring for the Heat Treatment Process)

  • Because of advanced control technology, Shop floor control system of various kinds of equipment and machinery need a web based remote monitoring to control process efficiently. This paper presents the development of Operation Control System. Operation Control System(OCS) is based on intelligent web monitoring, so that OCS is improved the working condition for the line of heat treatment process and the product's quality. The developed OCS is consisted of Atmega128(MCU) based on embedded system, running the data logging of the line of heat treatment process. Web monitoring system is based on CS8900 ethernet controller and TCP/IP for remote monitoring responsibility between a server and clients and controlling the progress of entire system. The developed OCS is implemented on the line of heat treatment process and shows the improvement of environment condition, product's quality and efficiency of process line.

  • Recently, machining process monitoring technique based on AE(acoustic emission) signal is used widely and becomes very important technique in machining process for improving the efficiency and the confidence of the systems. In this study, we fabricated a cheap acoustic emission sensor and monitoring system and estimated the properties of them through comparing with commercial AE sensor systems. In addition, we evaluated the performance of the fabricated sensor in polishing process. Futhermore, we are scheduled to develop the multi-point polishing process monitoring system through fabrication of the more AE sensors and complement of the monitoring system.

Agent Based Cinder Monitoring System supporting PDA

  • This paper embodies the agent based cinder monitoring system which supports PDA{Personal Digital Assistant). Monitoring system automatically manages data by using data managing agents such as a state managing agent, a location managing agent, a badness managing agent, a circumstances managing agent, etc, and uses a massive data processing agent to manage massive data. The development of agent based data monitoring system for the stable cinder reuse will be an epoch-making method to develop the process mechanized or manual-labored that widely spreads into the real-time automated process.

  • In terms of productivity, the speed of machining process has been increasing in most of engineering part. But the tapping process does not reach at enough level compared with other machining processes because of its complicate cutting mechanism. In the high speed tapping process, the one of important elements is tool monitoring system to prevent tool breakage. This paper describes tool monitoring system by acoustic emission(AE) in the tapping process. We used 2 types of AE sensors in this test. The one is commercial sensor which is used in other machining monitoring system like polishing and the other is a self-fabricated sensor for this test. In this test we purpose to find out the frequency of AE signal in tapping process and verify the possibility of applying AE sensor in in-process tapping monitoring system. Also grasp of characteristic of tapping process by AE signal is handled.

  • Out of all metal-cutting process, the hole-making process is the most widely used. It is estimated to be more than 30% of the total metal-cutting process. It is therefore desirable to monitor and detect drill wear during the hole-drilling process. One important aspect in controlling the drilling process is monitoring drill wear status. There are two systems, Basic system and Online system, to detect the drill wear. Basic system comprised of spindle rotational speed, feed rates, thrust torque and flank wear measured by tool microscope. Outline system comprised of spindle rotational speed feed rates, AE signal, flank wear area measured by computer vision, On-line monitoring system does not need to stop the process to inspect drill wear. Backpropagation neural networks (BPNs) were used for on-line detection of drill wear. The output was the drill wear state which was either usable or failure. This paper deals with an on-line drill wear monitoring system to fit the detection of the abnormal tool state.

  • The target of this paper is the development of Web-based monitoring & control system which is for effective and economic management of mold manufacturing process. This system has three module; G-code Control, Monitoring Module and Result analysis module. Also, as the environment of development is based on internet, this system which is possible to the remote site management of manufacturing process works on Web. To be possible to control the manufacturing monitoring by client, each module is made ActiveX control and is based on socket communication. This system makes the foundation which is possible to manage the mold manufacturing process efficiently from remote site by matching real-time monitoring with manufacturing process in factory using G-code control and displaying the result of manufacturing using Ch-CGI.

신경회로망 모델을 이용한 밀링채터의 실시간 감시에 대한 연구 (In-process Monitoring of Milling Chatter by Artificial Neural Network)

  • In highly automated milling process, in-process monitoring of the malfunction is indispensable to ensure efficient cutting operation. Among many malfunctions in milling process, chatter vibration deteriorates surface finish, tool life and productivity. In this study, the monitoring system of chatter vibration for face milling process is proposed and experimentally estimated. The monitoring system employs two types of sensor such as cutting force and acceleration in sensory detection state. The RMS value and band frequency energy of the sensor signals are extracted in time domain for the input patterns of neural network to reduce time delay in signal processing state. The resultes of experimental evaluation show that the system works well over a wide range of cutting conditions.

  • Advanced semiconductor manufacturing technology requires methods to maximize tool efficiency and improve product quality by reducing process variability. Real-time plasma process monitoring and diagnosis have become crucial for fault detection and classification (FDC) and advanced process control (APC). Additional sensors may increase the accuracy of detection of process anomalies, and optical monitoring methods are non-invasive. In this paper, we propose the use of a chromatic data acquisition system for real-time in-situ plasma process monitoring called the Plasma Eyes Chromatic System (PECS). The proposed system was initially tested in a six-inch research tool, and it was then further evaluated for its potential to detect process anomalies in an eight-inch production tool for etching blanket oxide films. Chromatic representation of the PECS output shows a clear correlation with small changes in process parameters, such as RF power, pressure, and gas flow. We also present how the PECS may be adapted as an in-situ plasma arc detector. The proposed system can provide useful indications of a faulty process in a timely and non-invasive manner for successful run-to-run (R2R) control and FDC.

  • 임베디드 소프트웨어의 적용범위가 넓어짐에 따라 소프트웨어의 개발시간을 줄이기 위한 많은 개발도구가 개발되었다. 하지만, 기존 도구들은 특정 플랫폼 적용을 목적으로 개발되었기 때문에 적용 가능한 범위가 제한된다. 이러한 문제 해결을 위하여 다양한 통신 환경을 지원함으로써 플랫폼 제약을 제거한 임베디드 모니터링 시스템을 개발하였다. 임베디드 모니터링 시스템은 코드 인라인 기법을 통하여 모니터링 과정을 진행한다. 하지만, 코드 인라인 기법은 모니터링 센서의 수행에 대한 부하문제를 가지고 있기 때문에 모니터링 센서의 최적화에 대한 고려가 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 모니터링 과정 초기화 방안과 모니터링 센서 최적화를 위한 비트마스킹 기법을 제안한다. 개발된 임베디드 모니터링 시스템은 임베디드 시스템을 사용하는 모든 분야에 적용가능하다.
