Mathematical process is an issue in current mathematics education. In this paper discuss how to assess the mathematical process using essay type questions. For this we first suggest the concept of Mathematical Process Oriented Question which is an essay type question and possible to assess mathematical processes, that is, the mathematical communication, reasoning, and problem solving as well as mathematics knowledge. And we develop a framework for developing the mathematical process oriented question and rubric, examples of assessment standards and those questions containing rubric for assessing mathematical processes. The results of this paper can serve as basic data and examples for follow up research about mathematical process assessment.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the teachers' and parents' perceptions on the 2015 revised national curriculum, which integrated humanities and sciences. In order to do so, 102 high school teachers and 68 high school parents were surveyed on their understanding of the 2015 revised curriculum including core competence, student-participatory class, and process-oriented assessment. The results are as follows. First, the teachers had a higher understanding of the purpose, contents, and major revisions of the 2015 revised curriculum than the parents. Second, among the core competencies presented in the revised 2015 curriculum, both teachers and parents considered communication, community and self-management competencies important. Third, both groups said that student-participatory classes and process-oriented evaluation has increased since the implementation of the 2015 revised curriculum. Based on these study results, suggestions for successful operation of the 2015 revised curriculum and future research were discussed.
The Customer Satisfaction which effects directly the performance of almost all companies. Therefore, it is very important for a company to reflect totally market environment which can be changed fast and diversely by customer requirements. In spite of many studies on the marketing decision, it has been rarely applied for the quantitative method and result of Customer Satisfaction Index Assessment in the marketing decision process. This study used ANP(Analytic Network Process) approach permitting the interdependent relationship between hierarchy and decision factors in the decision process. Moreover, we propose the method which represents efficiently the Customer Satisfaction Index so that the Suggested Model in this study becomes Customer-Oriented.

The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of group task-oriented circuit training (TOCT) based on motor learning applied in conjunction with physical and occupational therapy on functional activity, activities of daily living (ADLs), and quality of life in individuals with chronic stroke. Six chronic stroke patients participated for a duration of 31 weeks. Treatment outcomes were assessed via Chedoke-McMaster Stroke Assessment, the Berg Balance Scale, the Assessment of Motor and Process Skill (AMPS), and the Stroke Impact Scale pre- and post-intervention. The participants exhibited significant improvements in impairment, static and dynamic balance, and mood and emotion after group TOCT. The results of AMPS indicated an improvement in the motor area in 3 of the subjects. In the process area, 4 of the subjects exhibited improvement. The results of this study suggest that TOCT is beneficial to physical functions for chronic hemiparetic stroke patients in community-dwelling.

The e-navigation in IMO(International Maritime Organization) has been developed as a strategy for user oriented service followed by HEAP(Human Element Analysing Process) to assess the solutions in view of human ergonomics. Although IMO already had an interim guideline for human element assessment, it did not include appropriate human elements for user-oriented assessment, therefore there should be a need for revising the human elements of current guideline for ergonomic assessment of e-navigation. We have developed user-oriented human element checklist, threat elements caused by human external condition and error elements originated by human itself in line with the e-navigation development concept of user-based approach.
Recently, development paradigm of information system is turning into object oriented and component based, and this methodology is leading the software industry. To acclimatize aptly to this trend, users demand the assessment of software expenses to change with the appropriate model of computing costs of the environment, and some people are actually studying the concept of Object Oriented Function Point and UCP method. Especially, Object Oriented Function Point Measurement Process has good points in overcoming the bound of LOC and the existing the Function Point Measurement Process because Object Oriented Function Point Measurement Process is applicable to the early stage of development project mainly with the used cases, and valid to the life long period as the each stage of software products develops, and always understandable to communicate with users by the UML mark rules. Accordingly, this research is to measure Functional Point at ROFP and AOFP in accordance with the development project of information system by the national defense CBD methodology procedures and UML Interrelation Analysis that are recently and widely used in the developmental environment of object oriented information system. Furthermore, this study suggests the measurement method to obtain Functional Point, and identifies service function and object/class function in the correlation analysis of use case and class based on the products and UML modeling via traditional FPA model and object oriented FPA model. Above all, this study is to demonstrate the improvement of traditional Function Point Measurement Process, IFPUG-CPM and software cost basis, and reveal Function Point Measurement Process, which is appropriate to the development of object oriented information system, and suggest the evaluation results of the compatibility through case studies.
The consideration of constructability issues at the design stage can lead to improved construction performance with smooth project delivery and savings in time and money. Empirical studies demonstrate the value obtained by integrating construction knowledge with the building design process, and its benefits for owners, contractors and designers. However, it is still a challenge to implement the concept into current design practice. There is a need for a decision support tool to aid designers in reviewing their design constructability, deploying current technological tools, such as BIM. Such tools are beneficial at the conceptual design stage when there is a room to improve the design significantly with less incurred cost. This research investigates how current process- and object-oriented models can be used to assess design constructability. It proposes a BIM-based model using embedded information within the design environment to conduct the assessment. The modelling framework is demonstrated in four key parts; namely, the conceptual design model, the constructability assessment model, the assessment process model and the decision-making phase. Each is associated with a set of components and functions that contribute towards the targeted constructability assessment outcomes. The proposed framework is the first to combine a numerical assessment system and a rule-based system, allowing for both quantitative and qualitative approaches. The modelling framework and its implementation through a prototype are described in this paper. It is believed that this framework is the first to enable users to transfer their construction knowledge and experience directly into a design platform linked to BIM models. The assessment criteria can be customised by the users who can reflect their own constructability preferences into various specialised profiles that can be added to the constructability assessment model. It also allows for the integration of the assessment process with the design phase, facilitating the optimisation of constructability performance from the early design stage.

Recent drought events in the South Korea and the magnitude of drought losses indicate the continuing vulnerability of the agricultural drought. Various studies have been performed on drought hazard assessment at the regional scales, but until recently, drought management has been response oriented with little attention to mitigation and preparedness. A vulnerability assessment is introduced in order to preemptively respond to agricultural drought and to predict the occurrence of drought. This paper presents a method for spatial, Geographic Information Systems-based assessment of agricultural drought vulnerability in South Korea. It was hypothesized that the key 14 items that define agricultural drought vulnerability were meteorological, agricultural reservoir, social, and adaptability factors. Also, this study is to analyze agricultural drought vulnerability by comparing vulnerability assessment according to weighting method. The weight of the evaluation elements is expressed through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP), which includes subjective elements such as surveys, and the Entropy method using attribute information of the evaluation items. The agricultural drought vulnerability map was created through development of a numerical weighting scheme to evaluate the drought potential of the classes within each factor. This vulnerability assessment is calculated the vulnerability index based on the weight, and analyze the vulnerable map from 2015 to 2019. The identification of agricultural drought vulnerability is an essential step in addressing the issue of drought vulnerability in the South Korea and can lead to mitigation-oriented drought management and supports government policymaking.
Fault tree construction for hazard assessment requires so much time and labor, so it is very difficult to be applied to the large scale chemical plant. In this study, for the synthesis of fault tree in chemical processes, the object-oriented knowledge framework is proposed to represent the deviations of process variables in the equipment and cause-consequence relationship with equipment faults. The cause of fault is searched by using the object-oriented modeling of equipments and the connectivity among equipments, and then a fault tree is synthesized. we have discussed the performance of the methodology on nitric acid cooling process to evaluate its effectiveness.

The objectives of this study are to build up the concept of Environment-Oriented Land Suitability Assessment(EOLSA) and to develop the EOLSA mapping system by applying the EOLSA criteria to the case study area. In order to draw out the EOLSA critera, this study adopted the Delphi method including the experts' awareness survey to urban planners as well as environmental researchers in May and June 2001. As a result, the concept of EPLSA was defined as a process of land use planning to scientifically assess the physical and environmental value of land and to classify conservation aptitude into several grades for the sustainable management of environmental resources. With an outcome of applying the EOLSA criteria with five degrees to the Seoul Metropolitan Area (SMA), Grade I, indicating the highest conservation value, accounted for 57.76% of the SMA. Then, Grade II reached up to 15.06%, Grade III 3.12%, Grade IV 15.92%, and Grade V, the lowest conservation value, 7.99% respectively. And also, the case analysis showed that the share of Grade I area was the highest in Gapyong county and Yangpyong county, Pochon county, Yeonchon county, Yongin city in the order and the lowest in Kwangmyong city, Osan city, Kunpo city, Kuri city, and Buchon city.
