Effect of Environment-conscious Procurement Logistics Activity and Logistics Strategy on Logistics Performance (조달물류에서 환경친화적 활동이 조달물류 성과에 미치는 영향)

  • For a sustainable development, the resources circulation system should be established and an environment-conscious activities are required at the same time. These activities should be also implemented in logistics area. Especially, green procurement activities in inbound logistics is recognized as a very important factors in the early phase of an environment-conscious activities. In this paper, we are to suggest the direction through statistical analysis of effects, and cause of influences of environmental procurement logistics activities on logistics performance by environmental logistics strategy and by the size of enterprises, and by Environmental Management System. This study was conducted with the subjects of manufacturing enterprises with concurrent reviews of literature and statistical analysis, and the meaning of this study would be the analysis of the influencers of environment-conscious procurement logistics activities on logistics performance different from existing logistics studies.

Analysis of the Importance of Evaluation Factors for Automotive Procurement Logistics using AHP (AHP를 활용한 자동차 조달 물류 평가요인 중요도 분석)

  • This study evaluated the importance of automobile procurement logistics using AHP. Although automobile procurement and logistics is represented by JIT, internal and external risk factors for the automobile and logistics industries are increasing, so it is necessary to re-evaluate them and establish countermeasures. Therefore, this study conducted AHP analysis targeting 30 automobile procurement and logistics experts. Through previous studies and interviews, 4 factors for Tier 1 and 12 factors for Tier 2 were derived. As a result of AHP, the logistics factor was analyzed as the most important and the cost factor was less important than the other factors. This means that supply chain operation is more important than cost, and it is analyzed that stopping all supply chain participants is more damaging than logistics or inventory costs. Such research can provide implications not only for the automotive supply chain but also other industries with similar characteristics, and it is considered to be a meaningful study at the present time when the global supply chain is being reorganized.

A Study on the improvement of procurement logistics for synchronous manufacturing (동기화 생산을 위한 조달물류 개선에 관한 연구)

  • In automobile company it is needed to establish the collaborative relationship between the assembly company and the part manufacturing company. In this paper we established the improvement for the procurement logistics and logistics in assembly company and thus we derived the near optimal procurement cycle through the simple EXCEL simulation and the improved inventory management method for H automobile company in CHINA. At this time we adopted the pull manufacturing process instead of push manufacturing process. We resulted that the manufacturing activity of both companies was stabilized and the usage of storage area in assembly company was reduced by 50%, especially it was reduced by 100% in the case of directly delivering the parts to assembly line through the third party logistics company.

  • Automobile industry is facing a variety of risks, including the rise of international oil price and the increase of car prices. In addition to the government's deregulation, efforts should be made to improve management aiming at higher production efficiency. In this study, we established a model for evaluating the procurement logistics based on the Fuzzy-AHP-TOPSIS by using the factors that are actually used in real companies aimed at the improvement of procurement logistics. A total of three automobile factories of Company G were chosen as the evaluation subject. In the result of the Fuzzy-AHP analysis that was conducted on a sample of three car factories, solving the long-term quality problems, minimizing the stop time due to the shortage of materials, preventing the of equipment accident, and solving the short-term quality problems were proven to be the most important factors. TOPSIS analysis result indicated that Factory B had the best procurement logistics. Our study has significance that it can contribute to the improvement of efficiency in the automobile industry as the evaluation model suggested in this study can be used for regular evaluation related to the procurement logistics in the future.

  • In this regard, the newly focused logistics information system makes reducing the expenses of whole logistic available by cutting down the expenses of materials, transportation and stock and also, it allows the company to cut down the procurement expense through the reduced lead-time and rationalize producing plans by eliminating the uncertain orders and fluctuation in procurement. It further more optimizes the efficiency of over all productions by meeting the dead line for delivery to the customers. In the recent environment of globalization where fierce competitions exist between manufacturers, logistics plays important role in the strategies of companies, and managements of companies try their best efforts in establishing the strategy to accomplish the innovative relationship between supply chain channels. Therefore, in this study, we try to suggest the model of consolidated logistics system that is integrated logistics information system with suggesting the better way of logistics and comparative analysis with logistics system to resolve the difficulties numbers of companies face after realizing what logistics information system is in Korea.

  • Local freight forwarder's circle is suffering worsening profitability and insecure employment from over-competition which caused by a saturated local logistics market. It is emerging UN procurement market for local freight forwarders. However it is needed to study on successful entry, market status and supporting measures from government and research institute. Currently there are no national research data of UN procurement market in logistics sectors but as per the writer's experience and viewpoint to UN bidding, it would seem that appropriate measures should be made such as government's enhanced support for overseas advancement, price competitiveness, building global network and development of education program for trainees associated with current overseas internship program by government.

  • Innovations in the procurement logistics now is very popular in Kazakhstan. Nowadays there are a lot of documents of transport infrastructure and Kazakhstan logistic system is developing more and more. Procurement logistic is the direction where you can count, sometimes you can buy some products or transport equipments. Logistic in Kazakhstan is new direction, there are a lot of young people who choose this specialty and will stay demanded. Our president said a lot of words in strategies about development in logistics and so there will be new methods that will be used here. Innovations are new technologies that are used in different spheres so this structure as procurement logistic will develop in Kazakhstan and every citizen of our republic will support it. Transport systems are used for transitions different products so there are a lot new transition roads for example Western China - Western Europe; Astana-Almaty; Astana-Ust-Kamenogorsk; Astana-Aktobe, Atyrau; Almaty - Ust-Kamenogorsk; Karaganda - Zhezkazgan - Kyzylorda; Atyrau-Astrakhan, it helps Kazakhstan to support international links between other countries.
