The use of program formats has slowly but surely developed into an important component of the television industry. This article examines the surprising gap between the constantly growing, multi-billion-dollar trade of program formats and their unclear and contradictory legal treatment. From both the social and commercial standpoints, television formats are valuable creations. Understanding the two products, the paper and program stages, of a television format and their respective markets, is fundamental to discussions of its legal protection. Interestingly, under current law, the less-developed stages of the process (program ideas and paper formats) are awarded more protection than the aired program format, which accumulates higher levels of investment, creativity, and expression. Internal industry mechanisms, such as vertical integration, damage to reputation, and industry institutions, exist in both markets and are still able to control and influence members' behavior to some extent. However, while the influence of internal industry mechanisms is still strong in the paper format market, in the program format market, which continues to grow, such mechanisms have weakened, amplifying the importance of a clear legal system. The absence of protection will certainly not completely eliminate the production of new program formats. However, these factors do not add up to a case against protection. The changes in the program format market in the last two decades support the theory that the overall effect of providing legal protection for TV formats would promote beneficial competition and encourage more original creations. The underlying question for television formats should not be whether to protect but rather how.

미국의 전자산업협회(Electronic Industries Association)에서는 1991년부터 CASE 도구간의 정보교환을 용이하게 하기 위하여 CDIF (CASE Data Interchange Format) 이라는 표준 형식을 제정해 오고 있다. 각 CASE 도구에서 사용된 데이터를 CDIF 형식으로 변환만 해주면 다른 CASE 도구에서 이를 자신에 맞는 형식으로 변환하여 사용할 수 있다. 이때 각 CASE 도구 공급자는 CDIF 형식으로 변환 혹은 CDIF 형식을 자신에 적합한 형식으로 변환하는 프로그램을 작성하여야 한다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 불편을 해소하기 위해서 CASE 도구 공급자가 각 CASE 도구에서 사용된 자료의 저장형식을 지정하여 주면 CDIF 형식을 지원하는 변환기의 소스코드를 자동으로 생성하는 생성기를 개발하였다. 이 자동 생성기는 CASE 도구에서 사용된 자료의 저장형식, 저장형식에 대한 메타정보, CDIF 메타정보를 입력받아서 CDIF 문장을 생성한다. 본 연구에서 개발한 자동 생성기는 정보저장소에 관계없이 단일화된 인터페이스를 제공하는 JDBC 및 Oracle과 Sun O/S 환경하에서 구현하였다.

Many formats are used for recording and processing in the research of earthquake seismology and earthquake engineering. It is very difficult to program the Reading and writing algorithm for data processing because fill formats are very different from each other. It is suggested new file format of Korea Standard earthquake data (KSED) two types of ASCII and binary that are read and written easily. The Program package of basic data processing (Analyst) which has function of basic filtering spectrum analysis event gathering phase picking and location is developed In addition this program supports file transformation from another format(Mini SEED OMD K2) to KSED format.

In this study, a robot welding programming system is developed for gantry-type robot using a neutral CAD data format. The system automatically extracts welding line data from tile CAD model represented in IGES format and generates a robot program based on the weld line extracted. The welding program is simulated jar verification by using IGRlP, a virtual manufacturing solution. The robot welding programming system is demonstrated with a simple example.

최근 국내 방송 업계에서 프로그램 제작 아이디어를 쉽고 빠르게 획득하기 위하여, 방송 프로그램 포맷을 수입하여 프로그램을 제작하여 방영하고 있다. 방송 산업에서 포맷이란 일련의 시리즈물 프로그램에서 각각의 에피소드를 구성하는 가변의 요소들이 시리즈물 내내 변화지 않고 꾸준히 유지되는 프로그램 요소들의 집합을 의미하는 개념으로 사용되고 있다. 예컨대 국내에 방영되고 있는 퀴즈 프로그램인 1:100의 경우, 해외에서 포맷을 수입하여 국내에서 제작한 대표적인 사례라고 할 수 있다. 즉, 포맷이란 프로그램의 독창적인 아이디어와 구성요소를 내포하고 있는 프로그램 기획안과 유사하지만, 더 구체적인 제작 설명서에 가깝다고 할 수 있다. 본 연구는 방송 프로그램의 포맷 창작을 위하여 다수의 사용자가 창의적인 아이디어를 도출하고 확장하여, 이를 포맷 제작에 적합하게 재구성할 수 있도록 하는 시스템을 웹을 기반으로 구현하고, 이를 방송 프로그램 전문가들이 활용할 수 있도록 하고자 하는데 그 목적이 있다.

연구는 한국 예능 프로그램의 포맷 수입이 중국 방송 산업에 미친 영향에 대해서 분석하였다. 이를 위해 중국 방송사 제작진과의 심층인터뷰를 실시하였다. 본 연구의 분석 결과 한국 예능 프로그램 포맷을 수입하면서부터 중국 예능 프로그램의 포맷과 제작방식에 변화가 일어나기 시작한 것으로 나타났다.

공공도서관 문화프로그램에 대한 중요성이 커짐에 따라 그 경제적 효과에 대하여 전반적으로 평가할 필요성이 제기되어 왔다. 본 연구는 문화프로그램의 경제적 가치를 분석하기 위한 방법으로 기존에 사용되어 온 가상가치평가법의 대안으로 DM 포맷과 IBM 포맷을 제안하였다. 또한 이 모형을 공공도서관 이 적용할 수 있도록 사례분석을 통해 그 과정을 구체적으로 설명하고 있다. 이 연구는 가상가치평가법의 바이어스를 최대한 감소함으로써 공공도서관의 정확한 가치를 평가할 수 있는 기본 틀을 마련하였다는 데에 그 의의가 있다.

This paper presents the FPGA implementation of efficient algorithms for approximating exponential function based on floating point format data. The Taylor-Maclaurin expansion as a conventional approximation method becomes inefficient since high order expansion is required for the large number to satisfy the approximation error. A format converter is designed to convert fixed data format to floating data format, and then the real number is separated into two fields, an integer field and an exponent field to separately perform mathematic operations. A new assembly command is designed and added to previously developed command set to refer the math table. To test the proposed algorithm, assembly program has been developed. The program is downloaded into the Altera DSP KIT W/STRATIX II EP2S180N Board. Performances of the proposed method are compared with those of the Taylor-Maclaurin expansion.

최근 들어 국내 방송 프로그램 포맷의 중국 시장 진출 규모가 크게 늘고 있다. 특히 중국과의 포맷 거래는 다른 국가와 달리 단순한 포맷 바이블 판매에 그치는 것이 아니라 공동제작 수준으로 제휴 범위가 확대되고 있음에 따라 국내 미디어 시장에 미칠 파장도 클 것으로 예상된다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 지난 7년간 중국에 진출한 국내 예능 프로그램의 포맷 현황을 분석하여 한중 포맷 거래에 있어 그 진출 방식 및 유형은 어떠한지 그 특성을 도출해 보고자 한다. 국내에서 인기를 끈 예능 프로그램 중에서도 어떤 유형이 중국현지에서 시청률이 높은지 살펴보는 작업은 향후 글로벌 시장을 대상으로 한 포맷 개발 및 유통 다각화 전략 수립에도 일조할 수 있을 것으로 여겨진다.

In this paper automatic 3D wing shape modeling program is introduced. The program is developed in Visual Basic based on Net Framework 3.5 environment by using CATIA COM Library, and it is used together with CATIA system to model 3D wings with or without flaps. With this program users can easily construct wing models by specifying geometry parameters which are usually design variables with the aid of easy-to-use GUI environment, and specifying sectional airfoil data is done either by using analytic shape functions such as NACA series airfoils or by providing input files with point data describing the airfoil shape. When all the input parameters are provided, users can either work further with the model in the CATIA system which would be automatically started by the program or save the resultant model in the format of users choice. Unstructured grid generation program is also briefly described which can make grid generation task for a 3D wing easy and efficient one when used together with the wing modeling program by choosing STL format as the model's output format.
