요철단면 SC보의 휨 내력에 관한 연구 (A Study on Flexural Strength of Prominent Section of SC Beams)

  • 본 연구는 전단연결재 없이 부착면적을 확대한 요철 단면SC보의 휨 거동을 실험하여 이론 해석 및 상용 구조해석 프로그림인 ANSYS해석 결과와 비교 강판과 콘크리트의 부착성능과 초기강성 등을 분석하였고 이를 통해 효율적인 SC보의 실용화를 위한 기초 연구 자료를 제공하고자 한다. 실험결과는 이론값의 88%-98% 정도의 내력을 발휘한 것으로 나타났으며, 합성율은 분석결과 30-70%로 완전합성에 이르지 못한 것으로 나타나 완전합성을 발휘할 수 있는 접합방법의 필요성을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • This study examined the histomorphomeric and histological changes of the left and right kidney in uninephrectomized rat. The results were as follows: 1. In the control, the right kidney was more prominent than the left in the basement membrane of glomerular capillaries. The podocyte had well developed Golgi apparatus in the left kidney and rough endoplasmic reticulum in the right kidney. 2. At the 30 days after unilateral nephrectomy, the basal lamina of glomerular capillaries was prominently thickened in the right kidney. The cytoplasm of the podocyte of the left kidney was markedly increased and had free ribosomes, developed Golgi apparatus and rough endoplasmic reticulum. 3. At the 30 days, the section of the glomeruli were more enlarged in the left kidney than in the right. 4. At the 20 day, the nuclear section of the podocytes were markedly enlarged in the right kidney, but those of the left kidney were diminished. The mitochondrial section of the podocytes were prominently increased in the right kidney. 5. The nuclear section of the parietal layer lining cells was no significant change in the right kidney. That of the left kidney was increased at the 20 days and decreased at the 40 days. The nuclear section of glomerular endothelium of the left kidney increased earlier than the right. 6. In the morphometry of the control kidney, the section areas, long and short diameters, the nuclear section, the mitochondrial section of the proximal tubule cells, and the changes of those were more large in the right kidney than in the left. 7. The luminal secretory vesicles and peroxisomes of the left kidney were more than the right at the 20 days. The increase of mitochodrial section in the proximal tubule cells of the left kidney was more prominent than the right. The large cytoplasmic vacuoles were more prominent in the left kidney than in the right. 8. The thickness of cytoplasm and brush border was more thick in the control left kidney than in the control right. The change of cytoplasmic thickness of the left kidney was increased earlier than in the right and both kineys were increased in the thickness of brush border at the 30 days.

배경선 추출을 위한 구간 허프 변환 (Interval Hough Transform For Prominent Line Detection)

  • 단일 영상에서 배경선은 공간 구조를 이해하거나 심미적 평가를(Aesthetic scoring) 내리는데 중요한 판단 기준이 된다. 본 논문에서 소개하는 배경선 추출은 소실점을 분석하거나 3차원 공간의 재구성, 영상의 기울어짐을 판단하는데 도움을 준다. 또한 삼등분 법칙(Rule of thirds)을 계산하는데도 용이하게 해준다. 본 논문은 크게 구간 허프 변환 매핑과 배경선 우선순위 결정, 배경선 선택으로 구성되어 있으며 각 기술은 차선 추출이나 건물 구조 분석, 소실점 추출, 문서의 직선 추출과 같은 다양한 분야에 응용될 수 있게끔, 기술이 세분화되어 있다. 이는 사용자가 객체의 특성과 조명 환경등을 고려하여 선택적으로 기술을 구성할 수 있게끔 해 준다. 본 논문에서 소개하는 방법은 허프 변환을 사용하는 만큼, 원 추출과 같은 허프 변환의 응용에도 적용될 수 있다. 구간 허프 변환은 추출하고자 하는 배경선의 개수를 설정할 수 있다. 또한 영상 내에서 중요한 배경선의 개수를 분석하여 중요한 배경선만을 추출할 수 있다. 본 논문은 실험결과를 통해 배경선 추출 결과를 볼 수 있다.

Static stability analysis of axially functionally graded tapered micro columns with different boundary conditions

  • In the present study, microstructure-dependent static stability analysis of inhomogeneous tapered micro-columns is performed. It is considered that the micro column is made of functionally graded materials and has a variable cross-section. The material and geometrical properties of micro column vary continuously throughout the axial direction. Euler-Bernoulli beam and modified couple stress theories are used to model the nonhomogeneous micro column with variable cross section. Rayleigh-Ritz solution method is implemented to obtain the critical buckling loads for various parameters. A detailed parametric study is performed to examine the influences of taper ratio, material gradation, length scale parameter, and boundary conditions. The validity of the present results is demonstrated by comparing them with some related results available in the literature. It can be emphasized that the size-dependency on the critical buckling loads is more prominent for bigger length scale parameter-to-thickness ratio and changes in the material gradation and taper ratio affect significantly the values of critical buckling loads.

췌장의 파골성 거대세포종양의 세침흡인세포학적 소견 (Fine Needle Aspiration Cytology of Osteoclastic Giant Cell Tumor of the Pancreas)

  • A case of fine needle aspiration cytology of an osteoclastic giant cell tumor of pancreas, which is an uncommon variant of ductal adenocarcinoma, is described. Aspirated tumor cells were characterized by three populations: (1) bland osteoclast like giant cells with multiple small, round nuclei with distinct nucleoli, and abundant cytoplasm, (2) Individually scattered or loosely clustered medium sized mononuclear tumor cells, having fine chromatin, smooth nuclear membrane, often prominent nucleoli, and high N/C ratio, (3) bland or atypical spindle shaped cells. Osteoid like lacy material was also seen on cell block section. The immunohistochemical studies using paraffin embedded cell block section showed positivities for vimentin and lysozyme in both giant and mononuclear turner cells. However, they were negative for cytokeratin, epithelial membrane antigen, S-100 protein, carcinoembryonic antigen, and p53.

Generation of Super-Resolution Benchmark Dataset for Compact Advanced Satellite 500 Imagery and Proof of Concept Results

  • In the last decade, artificial intelligence's dramatic advancement with the development of various deep learning techniques has significantly contributed to remote sensing fields and satellite image applications. Among many prominent areas, super-resolution research has seen substantial growth with the release of several benchmark datasets and the rise of generative adversarial network-based studies. However, most previously published remote sensing benchmark datasets represent spatial resolution within approximately 10 meters, imposing limitations when directly applying for super-resolution of small objects with cm unit spatial resolution. Furthermore, if the dataset lacks a global spatial distribution and is specialized in particular land covers, the consequent lack of feature diversity can directly impact the quantitative performance and prevent the formation of robust foundation models. To overcome these issues, this paper proposes a method to generate benchmark datasets by simulating the modulation transfer functions of the sensor. The proposed approach leverages the simulation method with a solid theoretical foundation, notably recognized in image fusion. Additionally, the generated benchmark dataset is applied to state-of-the-art super-resolution base models for quantitative and visual analysis and discusses the shortcomings of the existing datasets. Through these efforts, we anticipate that the proposed benchmark dataset will facilitate various super-resolution research shortly in Korea.

대극속 Anthacantha절(대극과)과 근연분류군의 종자형태 (Seed Morphology of Euphorbia Section Anthacantha (Euphorbiaceae) and Related Taxa)

  • 대극과 대극속 Anthacantha절의 한계와 근연 분류군과의 유연 관계를 규명하기 위해 Anthacantha절에 속한 8종과 근연 분류군을 포함하여 총 16종의 종자를 광학 및 주사전자현미경으로 연구하였다. 측정된 형질 중 6가지 정성형질만을 이용한 수리분석을 바탕으로 3가지 유형으로 구분되었다. Type I (sect. Anthacan 능선 주변에는 결절이 없이 표면이 매끈한 특징을 가진다. Type II (sect. Medusae+sect. Treisia-1군)는 사각형태로 배능선 주변에 돌출된 세포가 발달되어 있으며 표면에 결절이 있는 특징을 가진다. Type III (sect. Treisia-2군)는 전체적인 형태는 난형이며 배능선 주변에 돌출된 세포가 발달되어 Type II에 가까우나 세포표면에 종피세포가 여러 개 모여 솟아올라있어 Type I, II 에는 없는 특징을 보여준다. 본 연구를 통해 Anthacantha절에 속한 종과 Meleuphorbia절에 속한 종은 종자형태의 형질이 매우 유사하여 유연관계가 깊은 것으로 생각되며, 기존의 분자적, 화분분류학적 연구의 결과와 잘 일치하는 양상을 보였다. 또한 Treisia절과 Medusae절에 속하는 분류군은 종자 형태적으로 Anthacantha절의 종들과 차이를 보이고 있어 이들과는 상대적으로 유연관계가 먼 것으로 추정되며 이와 같은 결과는 최근에 수행된 분자적 연구의 결과와는 상반된 양상으로 나타났다.

Reynolds number and scale effects on aerodynamic properties of streamlined bridge decks

  • Section model test, as the most commonly used method to evaluate the aerostatic and aeroelastic performances of long-span bridges, may be carried out under different conditions of incoming wind speed, geometric scale and wind tunnel facilities, which may lead to potential Reynolds number (Re) effect, model scaling effect and wind tunnel scale effect, respectively. The Re effect and scale effect on aerostatic force coefficients and aeroelastic characteristics of streamlined bridge decks were investigated via 1:100 and 1:60 scale section model tests. The influence of auxiliary facilities was further investigated by comparative tests between a bare deck section and the deck section with auxiliary facilities. The force measurement results over a Re region from about 1×105 to 4×105 indicate that the drag coefficients of both deck sections show obvious Re effect, while the pitching moment coefficients have weak Re dependence. The lift coefficients of the smaller scale models have more significant Re effect. Comparative tests of different scale models under the same Re number indicate that the static force coefficients have obvious scale effect, which is even more prominent than the Re effect. Additionally, the scale effect induced by lower model length to wind tunnel height ratio may produce static force coefficients with smaller absolute values, which may be less conservative for structural design. The results with respect to flutter stability indicate that the aerodynamic-damping-related flutter derivatives 𝘈*2 and 𝐴*1𝐻*3 have opposite scale effect, which makes the overall scale effect on critical flutter wind speed greatly weakened. The most significant scale effect on critical flutter wind speed occurs at +3° wind angle of attack, which makes the small-scale section models give conservative predictions.

Conceptual Design Optimization of Tensairity Girder Using Variable Complexity Modeling Method

  • Tensairity girder is a light weight inflatable fabric structural concept which can be used in road emergency transportation. It uses low pressure air to stabilize compression elements against buckling. With the purpose of obtaining the comprehensive target of minimum deflection and weight under ultimate load, the cross-section and the inner pressure of tensairity girder was optimized in this paper. The Variable Complexity Modeling (VCM) method was used in this paper combining the Kriging approximate method with the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) method, which was implemented by ABAQUS. In the Kriging method, the sample points of the surrogate model were outlined by Design of Experiment (DOE) technique based on Optimal Latin Hypercube. The optimization framework was constructed in iSIGHT with a global optimization method, Multi-Island Genetic Algorithm (MIGA), followed by a local optimization method, Sequential Quadratic Program (SQP). The result of the optimization gives a prominent conceptual design of the tensairity girder, which approves the solution architecture of VCM is feasible and efficient. Furthermore, a useful trend of sensitivity between optimization variables and responses was performed to guide future design. It was proved that the inner pressure is the key parameter to balance the maximum Von Mises stress and deflection on tensairity girder, and the parameters of cross section impact the mass of tensairity girder obviously.

제왕절개 분만율의 지역간 변이와 관련요인에 대한 연구 (Regional Variations in the Cesarean Section Rate and It's Determinants in Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to estimate cesarean section rate in Korea and analyze the socioeconomic variables and health resources which affect regional variation in the rate. Samples were drawn from the record of vaginal and cesarean section deliveries based upon insurance claim bills which have been submitted to the National Federation of Medical Insurance for the first three months, January through March, 1991. The results are obtained as follows : It was found that. cesarean section rate was increasing rapidly up to 23.1% in 1991. Cesarean section per 10 thousand insured people was 4.8 and the number of cesarean section per 10 thousand insured eligible($15{\sim}49$ years old) female was 7.6. The fee for normal delivery was 109,489 won and that for cesarean section was 390,024 won. The average days of hospitalization in normal delivery was 2.3 days, and those in cesarean section was 7.6 days. On the average cesarean section has a longer of stay as much as by 4.3 days and cost 3.6 times more than normal deliveries. Cesarean section rates vary among medical facilities 19.8% at clinics 37.6% in small-scale hospitals, and 29.1% in general hospitals. The regional variation of cesarean section rates was also fairly prominent. The South Cheju Gun has the highest rate of cesarean section, 56.2%. Meanwhile no cesarean section cases has been reported in Sunchang Gun during the period of this study. The variation is noted among provinces. The rate for Cheju province has been 3.4 times higher than that for Chunnam. The number of cesarean section per 10 thousand insured people vary greatly among regions, too. This study has found that there exists significant regional variations among various geographic units in terms of average length of stay, average cost, number of obsretricians and number of beds. Multiple regression analysis was done to identify factors explaining the regional variance of various cesarean section rates : In the urban areas, no significant explaining variables were noted except the number of beds for the dependent variable of cesarean section cases per 10 thousand insured eligible females. The smaller the number of bed, the more cases of cesarean section was noted for an urban area. The is mostly because the rate of cesarean section is higher in medium-size hospitals than in large general hospitals. In the rural areas, the factor of education has been found significant for all three deplendent variables. The higher the educational level, the rate of cesarean section is most likely to rise. An income variable measured by the amount of monthly insurance contribution has been identified a powerful predictor in explaining the valiance of cesarean section rates. The same has been noted for the number of obstetricians. Similar findings are observed for the country as a whole. The income level has veen found as the most powerful explaining factor in the regional variance of cesarean section rates. In general the rate is higher in the urban areas, and lower in the area with more small hospitals. As this is the initial attempt to identify the factors relevant to the regional difference in the rates of cesarean section, more elaborated study is urgently required.
