Three big U.S. automakers have developed the QS-9000 quality system for their su, pp.iers. These automakers are requiring their su, pp.iers to implement the QS-9000 based quality system. This QS-9000 system is based upon the ISO 9000 series quality systems. This paper describes the differences between the ISO 9000 series requirements and the QS-9000 requirements. It also suggests the way to implement the QS-9000 quality systems for Korean su, pp.iers.

America automakers are requiring their suppliers to implement the QS-9000 based quality system, through they have had a little lukewarm attitude. Therefore, our auto parts makers need to cope with the QS-9000. This paper describes the interrelationship between ISO 9000 requirements and the QS-9000 requirements, the way to solve the problems step by step that originate from the QS-9000 quality system auditing and QS-9000 tendancy.

ISO 9000을 기초로 하여 품질인증제도로 발전시킨 QS 9000의 도입과정과 이를 도입한 기업에 대하여 설문조사를 통한 분석을 하였다. 도입의 이론적 배경, 필요성, 도입 후의 성과를 조사하였고, 조사내용은 기술통계를 이용하여 그 결과를 분석하였다.

QS-9000 was established by Chrysler, Ford, General Motors and some Truck Manufactures to solve problems of efforts to prepare original standards for each company. When we compare the requirements in QS-9000 with those in ISO 9000, we may observe that those of QS-9000 are more specific, since the user of the standard is limited to the automobile industry. In particular, the requirements on statistical techniques are described in more detail. In this paper, we present the requirements on statistical techniques in QS-9000. Specifically, we review the contents of QS-9000 and explore the philosophy and the minimum requirement on statistical techniques behind the description.

본 연구는 우선 QS 9000의 배경, 구조 및 인증에 따른 혜택과 적용 사례를 알아보고 ISO 9000과 적용, 내용, 문체, 접근법, 평가과정, 용어 및 요건 면에서 구조적 차이를 비교·분석 ·요약하며, 또한 TE supplement 및 APQP/CP의 역할에 관해 조사한다. 끝으로 QS 9000의 주요 도구인 QFD, SPC, 공정능력 지수, MSA 등의 개선기법과 적용방법 등을 소개한다.

최근 10여년 사이에 여러 국가의 많은 기업들이 ISO 9000 인증을 획득하였고 특정 분야에서는 ISO 9000에 고객에 의해 특별히 요구되는 내용을 추가하여 인증이 이루어지고 있는데 특히 자동차 분야의 QS 9000과 ISO/TS 16949가 그 예가 될 수 있겠다. 따라서 인증의 근간이 되는 규격인 ISO 9000을 비롯하여 QS 9000과 ISO/TS 16949에서 요구되는 내용이 매우 중요시된다고 할 수 있으며 또한 그 중에서도 제품의 설계 및 제조과정에서 언급되고 있는 설계 FMEA나 공정 FMEA 및 게이지 R＆R과 같은 신뢰성과 관련된 내용들은 특히 중요한 요소라고 할 수 있겠다. 이에 본 연구에서는 각 시스템에 있어 신뢰성 관련 내용을 검토, 분석함으로써 각 시스템에서 신뢰성 요구 사항들이 어떻게 규정되어 있는지를 비교, 분석하고 그 적용 사례를 통하여 합리적 적용 방법들을 제시하였다. 또한 자동차 분야 외에도 이와 같은 신뢰성과 관련하여 요구되는 사항들이 많이 있을 수 있겠으나 이에 대해서는 추후 연구, 검토를 계속해 나갈 예정이다.

This paper studied about effects of the certificate of ISO 9000 in the manufacturing companies whose number of employee is under three hundred. First, most of company answered that acquiring the certificate of ISO 9000 is very helpful for the company management. therefore the company has the competence in the change of domestic and international economy. Second, after acquiring the certificate of ISO 9000, there were many improvements in company culture, quality control and business process productivity. As a result, the acquisition of the certificate of ISO 9000 system makes the company culture preparing the future to become a world first class company.

This paper studied two factors for the manufacturing companies whose number of employee are under three hundred. First, most of company answered acquiring certificate ISO 9000 is very helpful for the company management .therefore the company have competence for the change of economic environment of domestic and international economy.
