Method for making lighting effects in graphic image by RGB lighting pipeline (RGB 라이팅 파이프라인에 의한 그래픽 영상 조명효과 구현방법)

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a new type of RGB lighting pipeline that can save time in animation production. After identifying the problems of the current method, the researchers studied 8 steps through new methods and comparative analysis. A method of implementing a graphic image lighting effect by the RGB lighting pipeline according to the current method is to create a render layer for each light set and a set of digital light separated by texture, Three types of written information can be stored in one layer and graphic image, and the accuracy and precision of color correction can be improved. Through this study, we propose the new and improved RGB lighting pipeline according to the characteristics of the work and the industries.

An adaptive frequency-selective weighted prediction of residual signal for efficient RGB video compression coding (능률적 RGB 비디오 압축 부호화를 위한 잔여신호의 적응적 주파수-선택 가중 예측 기법)

  • Most video coding systems use YCbCr color space for their inputs, but RGB space is more preferred in the field of high fidelity video because the compression gain from YCbCr becomes disappeared in the high quality operation region. In order to improve the coding performance of RGB video signal, this paper presents an adaptive frequency-selective weighted prediction algorithm. Based on the sign agreement and the strength of frequency-domain correlation of residual color planes, the proposed scheme adaptively selects the frequency elements as well as the corresponding prediction weights for better utilization of inter-plane correlation of RGB signal. Experimental results showed that the proposed algorithm improves the coding gain of around 13% bitrate reduction, on average, compared to the common mode of 4:4:4 video coding in the state-of-the-art video compression standard, H.264/AVC.

  • In this paper, using the indoor LED-ID communication system have researched for how to transmit video signals. In LED-ID communications use the LEDs for lighting features at the same time communication is an effective way to implement. This proposed system using Visible light(RGB) as way to transmit signals, depends on the mixture RGB, which decided the color of light, moreover, each things determined their performance. However, if the video signal were fixed allocated RGB to transmit such as the original system, the importance of the each signals a different occur the limit on the quality of the video than SVC signals. In order to solve this problem in this paper, according to the RGB mixture ratios analyze the performance for the White LED, which analyzed based on allocating the SVC signal by transmitting to improve the quality of the video was about how researched.

  • In this paper, we propose a variable RGB interleaving technique for efficient data transmission in LED based visible light communication system. Visible light communication systems that utilize light as a resource for data transmission are affected by the nature of light and the three primary colors of light. However, the nature of light, such as light reflection, diffraction, and superposition, causes interference of the data to be transmitted, causing burst errors in the data. Such a problem causes the BER performance of the visible light communication system to degrade. To solve these problems, this paper attempts to utilize the variable RGB interleaving technique. Through variable RGB interleaving, data burst errors can be reduced and inter channel interference in a visible light communication system can be reduced. In addition, if the proposed system is applied to meet the QoS that depends on the importance of data or the requirements of the user, it can provide QoS requested by the user and enable efficient data transmission.

  • The power model is needed to handle the power consumption of mobile AMOLED display at the software level. However, the existing studies to generate the power model have required the experimental environment and equipment for the power measurement activity. In addition, the combination of RGB values used for modeling was imprudent and small, so it was difficult to reflect the mutual influence between the RGB values into the model. To solve these problems, we propose an RGB color space partitioning method, which is used to prudently sample the combinations of the RGB values based on the color or the power. We also propose a process for generating a mapping table composed of . We analyzed the characteristics of the samples generated according to the proposed partitioning methods, taking into account the color and the power, and generated the mapping table for the AMOLED display. Furthermore, we confirmed the reusability of the mapping table by utilizing one mapping table multiple times in evaluating different power models. These mapping tables are provided to researchers and can be used to generate and evaluate power models without power measurement activities.

  • The solution way of color difference in display device is using a device profile recorded with color dimension, color properties of each device and is using sRGB color space. The color matching is better sRGB than RGB color space. The sRGB is independent device color space and based on the monitor characteristice. An accurate characterization of the display device is essential for color matching. The calibration and characterization process in display device is needed to transform the device dependent color to the device independent color. The process of characterization performs a linerizaiton and transforms the linearized values into the CIE XYZ tristimulus values. The purposes of this paper is to estimate color reproduction using device profile and to explain the propriety of transformation method using variable.

RED GIANT BRANCH OF THE METAL POOR GLOBULAR CLUSTERS: I. BUMP, TIP, AND DISTANCE FROM NEAR INERARED PHOTOMETRY

  • We use near-infrared observations of eight selected Galactic globular clusters to estimate their distances by comparing the observed and theoretically predicted K magnitudes of the red giant branch bumps and tips. The K magnitude levels of the RGB bump and tip have been measured from the luminosity function of the selected RGB stars in the clusters. Theoretical absolute $M_k$ magnitudes of the RGB bump and tip are taken from the Yonsei-Yale isochrones. Comparing the observed apparent K magnitude with the derived absolute $M_k$ magnitude, we calculate the distance moduli of the clusters. We discuss the dependency of the derived distance modulus on the cluster age and the uncertainty of the distance measurement from the near-infrared photometry of the RGB bump and tip.

  • From the BV images of the metal-poor globular cluster NGC 1904 obtained with the 2K CCD camera equipped on the BOAO 1.8m telescope, we construct (B - V, V) color-magnitude diagram of the cluster. The apparent V magnitudes of the RGB bump and tip have been measured from the luminosity function of the iteratively selected RGB stars in NGC 1904. Theoretical absolute $M_v$ magnitudes of the RGB bump and tip are estimated using the Yonsei-Yale isochrones. The distance modulus of NGC 1904 has been derived by comparing the observed apparent V magnitude with the estimated absolute $M_v$ magnitude of the RGB bump and tip.

  • 본 논문은 조명용 RGB LED 구동 장치를 위한 새로운 방식의 Two-stage RGB LED 구동 회로를 제안한다. 제안된 회로는 PFC Flyback Converter의 다중 출력을 이용하여 LED 구동 회로의 전압 스트레스를 줄이면서 효율을 높일 수 있는 새로운 방식의 LED 구동회로이다. 제안된 회로는 Universal Input에서 25W 이상 조명 장치에 적용되는 IEC61000-3-2 Class C 규제를 만족하며, RGB LED의 개별적인 Digital Dimming을 사용하여 다양한 색을 구현할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 제안된 회로의 동작 원리를 설명하고, 시뮬레이션 및 RGB LED에 실제 적용 실험하여 제안 회로의 유용성을 입증하였다.

  • 실 환경에 존재하는 모든 것을 3차원 모델로 쉽게 복원할 수 있을 것이라는 생각과 원격지에 있는 환경과 사람을 같은 공간에 있는 듯 상호작용할 수 있게 된 것은 그리 오래되지 않았다. 이는 일정 해상도를 보장해주는 RGB-D 센서의 개발과 이러한 센서들을 사용한 3차원 복원 관련 연구들이 활발히 수행되면서 가능하게 되었다. 본고에서는 널리 쓰이고 있는 RGB-D 카메라를 사용하여 실시간으로 때로는 온라인상에서 3차원으로 복원하고 가시화하는 기술에 대하여 살펴보고자 한다. 하나 또는 여러 개의 RGB_D 카메라를 사용하거나 모바일 장치에 장착된 RGB-D 센서를 사용하여 넓은 공간, 움직이는 사람, 온라인 상태의 환경 등을 실시간으로 복원하기 위한 기술들을 세부적으로 설명한다. 또한, 최근에 발표된 기술들이 다루고 있는 이슈들을 설명하고 향후 3차원 복원기술의 연구개발 방향에 대해서 논의한다.
