  • Attempts to embody the three-dimensional world into works have continued without distinguishing between the times and the media, and the purpose is to realize an immersive state rather than the reproduction of reality. It was considered that the flat screen, which is the medium that finally faces the viewer in digital media art, hinders complete immersion, and this study investigated and analyzed the cases of works that give a sense of reality of space beyond the limits of the screen. Using the results of the analysis to produce the work, it was found that the presentation of the realistic space and enhancing immersion in the digital media art field should be viewed not only as visual video content on the screen, but also as an installation suitable for the exhibition environment and the resulting space itself.

  • Various works of art in a convergent form using new media technology Reflecting the attempted trend, this paper examines the footsteps of public art and Looking at the examples of works using new media art as an expression method of public art works, I suggest vr drawing as a new tool for public media art. The drawing performance using the vr drawing tool and the case of the vr realistic performance scarecrow, The vr drawing tool can infer the possibility of practical application as a new expression method of public art. This study uses a vr drawing tool among new media technologies in the future. It is believed that it will be a prior study that will help prospective creators. In addition, compared to the media status in the era of the 4th industrial revolution, art and If you think and analyze the future value of technology, I think it will be a meaningful study.

  • Generally today's culture and the arts industry has been focusing more on economic value than the arts. Therefore this paper will elucidate the meaning of the culture and the arts can be a break though which can only include commercial and economic values but transcend its values ultimately. First of all, this paper will suggest an advanced 3D stereoscopic images by analysis of examples and environments of realistic media arts. Looking into the changes of related technologies and market environments, the motion-recognition technology, as seem in SF film "Minority report", has become a feasible technology. In the past, 3D stereoscopic images were shown in the theme park theatre and exhibition halls for group viewing. but recent 3D TV and display devices have changed those environments to personal. Since domestic researches of realistic media art has been little, this paper will analyze them respecting to three broad classifications. The results are : Firstly, in CAVE method, more impact capabilities of spectators are expected that they can manipulate interactive interfaces freely and the physical movements of spectators can operate interactively. Secondly, inter-network communications and expansion of viewers' perceptions are predicted by way of HMD method, sensor suites and communication equipments. Thirdly, combinations of HMD and motion tracking utilization is foreseen. With the convergent usages of these three features, we can prospect the possibilities of interactive 4D that spectators wearing 3D stereoscopic display devices can experience and make their own 3D stereoscopic images actively at the point of their views.

  • With the development of game technology, the realistic game graphics, interface technology, and various content services with immersion are being required in the content area. NUI has been developed through CLI and GUI. Unlike the conventional methods, it is an interface that could be the intuitive and realistic interface for human as a natural action realized. we propose a boxing simulation game using leap motion of it. Providing a realistic 3D experimental environment through VR headsets game, we also propose a method that can be calculated the scores if the user-controlled interface (fist) could be to punch the target (sandbag) of the internal in accordance with changes of the angle of target impact with the physical characteristics.

  • In this paper, we considered that recently 3D game characters have been almost alike realistic expression because of a great mathematical computation and efficient techniques on GPU hardware. We presented the rendering technique and analysis for 3D game characters to simulate and render mathematical approach model from recent researches to perform the game engine for the surface reflection of lighting model. We compare our approach with the existing variant rendering techniques here using Open GL shader language on game engine. The experimental result will be provided the view-dependent visual appearance of variant and effective modeling characters for realistic expression using existing methods on the GPU for effective simulations and rendering process. Since there are many operations that are used redundantly while performing mathematical operations, the necessary functions and requirements have been to compute in advance.

  • In this paper, we present marker-less fingertip and brush tracking system with inexpensive web camera. Parallel computation using CUDA is applied to the tracking system. This tracking system can run on inexpensive environment such as a laptop or a desktop and support for real-time application. We also present realistic water-based sign pen drawing model and implementation. The realistic drawing application with our inexpensive real-time fingertip and brush tracking system shows us the art class of the future. The realistic drawing application, along with our inexpensive real-time fingertip and brush tracking system, would be utilized in test-bed for the future high-technology education environment.

  • Narrative art is primarily narrative fiction realistic possibility for human figures into the contents of the work to build the core structure of the narrative, and the most important factor. Constitute the narrative structure of the story, while leading configuration is the subject of the act. Portrait of the artist's work presented in this perspective is the default attitude that gives the order to the drama itself, because it is the drama of aesthetic structure will eventually work through the people in the know. Mixture of aesthetic pleasure and aesthetic understanding of the regular drama is when you think that consciousness is through characters in his works is a shortcut to identify the writers think about the narrative structure.

  • The advancement of realistic visual effects technology provides increasingly immersive experiences and consumer satisfaction with content. The explosion and destruction effects in live-action films and animations are some of the most frequently used visual effects, but they are relatively difficult to execute, so it is challenging to make them look realistic. This study tested a method of effectively realizing computer-generated explosions and destruction. Experiments for this study are as follows: first, the interlink according to density accumulation of the fluid; second, the interlink according to the temperature accumulation of the fluid; and third, the interlink according to the distance between the fluid and the involved objects. This study was conducted to identify an optimal solution for producing computer-generated explosions and destruction.

  • The purpose of this study is (a) to investigate the general characteristics of bookjacket of children's books in Korea and (b) to observe general directions of the changes of those characteristics. For that purpose, children's books are gathered in alphabetical order of titles which has been published in the past 30 years and classified into three groups: 'books of 1966-1975', 'books of 1976-1985' and 'books of 1986-1993' according to the date of publication of those books. The important elements of the bookjackets belonging to these three groups are analyzed and compared. Main findings and conclusions made in this study are summarised as follows : (1) The style of illustration which has been appeared very often on the bookjacket of children's books is realistic art style. But a new tendency is that cartoon art style is above everything else. (2) The media which has been commonly used for illustration is watercolor. A new tendency is that various media is used for illustration. (3) People have been most commonly used as characters of illustration, and this tendency is continued from the past. (4) Visual representation of characters is usually simplified, and simple outlines is used for objects. The latest tendency is the same. (5) Visual content is arranged within bookjacket illustration as a whole, and this tendency is continued. (6) Lines for special emphasis are commonly used in depicting objects wi thin bookjacket illustration. (7) Realistic color has been most commonly used in depicting objects within bookjacket illustration. But the tendency is turned into unrealistic color. (8) Light grayish and strong as tone have been commonly used for bookjacket. A new tendency is that pale as tone is above everything else. (9) Gothic type has been commonly used for title within bookjacket. A new tendency is that various types are used for titles.

  • A chameleonic surface proposed in this study was a pin-art and 3D display device for generating arbitrary shapes. A smooth and continuous surface was formed using slim telescopic actuators and high-elasticity composite material. Realistic 3D shapes were continuously generated by projecting dynamic mapping images on the surface. A slim telescopic actuator was designed to show long strokes and minimize area for staking. A 3D shape was formed by thrusting and extruding the high-elasticity material using multiple telescopic actuators. This structure was advantageous for generating arbitrary continuous surface, projecting dynamic images and lightening weight. Because of real-time synchronization, a distributed controller based on EtherCAT was applied to operate hundreds of telescopic actuators smoothly. Integrated operating software consecutively generated realistic scenes by coordinating extruded shapes and projecting 3D image from multiple projectors. An opera content was optimized for the chameleon surface and showed to an audience in an actual concert.
