A Structural Relationship between Pleasure and Customer Satisfaction, Switching Costs, and Relationship Commitment in Fitness Center

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationship between customer's pleasure, customer satisfaction, switching cost, and relationship commitment using the fitness center and provide implications. Specifically, this study aims to investigate the effect of the degree of customer's awareness of pleasure on the relationship commitment through the medium of customer satisfaction and switching cost. For this purpose, the structural equation model was constructed based on the previous studies, and the exogenous variables were pleasure, and the endogenous variables were customer satisfaction, switching costs and relationship commitment. The subjects of this study were customers who used fitness centers in the metropolitan area. The sampling method for the sample survey was a total of 277 people using convenience sampling. 257 copies were used as final data except for 20 samples that were not appropriate for the study. The statistical program for data analysis was IBM SPSS Ver. 26.0 and Amos 21.0. The specific data processing method is as follows: First, frequency analysis was conducted to understand the general characteristics of the subjects. In order to verify the validity and reliability of the research tools, confirmatory factor analysis and reliability analysis were conducted. In order to understand the theoretical relationship between each variable, structural equation model was conducted. The results of data processing on the research model are as follows: First, the pleasure of the fitness center customers had a positive effect on customer satisfaction. Second, customer satisfaction had a positive effect on the switching costs. Third, customer satisfaction had a positive effect on the customer commitment. Fourth, switching costs had a positive effect on customer commitment.

  • This study examined the role of safety climate, organizational trust, job satisfaction, and organizational commitment. In addition, the study verified the mediating effect of organizational trust between safety climate, and job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Targeting population were the workers in the manufacturing sector. First, it was figured out that employees' recognition of organizations' safety climate has an effect positively on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Second, it turns out that individuals' safety awareness has a positive effect on the both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Third, it was figured out that organizational trust plays a role as mediation when employees' recognition of organizations' safety climate has an effect positively on both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Fourth, the result revealed that foreign investment company moderated the relationship between safety climate and organizational climate. Fifth, organizational trust mediates the relationship that the individuals' safety awareness are positively affected on the both job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Finally, The results of four hypotheses using intermediary variable in which organizational trust mediates the relationship between the safety climate and "work attitude" such as job satisfaction and organization commitment demonstrate significance of trust in organization in connecting safety climate and work attitude. Therefore, when trust in organization is enhanced, work attitude such as job satisfaction and organizational commitment could be improved.

  • The research objective was to analyze the effect of work behavior on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) and organizational commitment. For this, we analyze the effect of organizational commitment on OCB and analyze organizational commitment as a mediating variable in the relationship between workplace behavior and OCB. This study employed survey data for 80 employees of 12 village credit institutions in the Badung Regency. Observation is one way to obtain primary data. It is done by observing the object, which is the primary source of data, and conducting direct observations of the research location to determine the circumstances and problems. This research uses data collection techniques: 1) interviews conducted with employees working in Badung Regency both in managers and staff positions. 2) Questionnaire, namely, by using several closed questions given to the Badung Regency employees regarding workplace spirituality, organizational commitment, and OCB. The analysis technique used the partial least squares (PLS) approach and the Sobel test. The results show that workplace spirituality does not affect OCB but positively affects organizational commitment. Also, organizational commitment has a positive effect on OCB. The major findings are organizational commitment acts as a mediating variable in the relationship between workplace spirituality and OCB.

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the mediating effect of the organizational trust, acceptance of organizational change on the relationship between job characteristics and organizational commitment. For this study, data were collected from convenient sample of 241 employees at small and medium enterprises in Ulsan city and Gyeongju city. All data collected from the survey were analyzed using with SPSS 18.0 and AMOS 18.0. This study reports findings as followed: 1. The relationship between the job characteristics and the organizational trust is positively related. 2. There was a positive correlation between the job characteristics and the acceptance of organizational change. 3. There was a positive correlation between the job characteristics and the organizational commitment. 4. The relationship between the organizational trust and the acceptance of organizational change is positively related. 5. There was a positive correlation between the organizational trust and the organizational commitment. 6. There was a positive correlation between the acceptance of organizational change and the organizational commitment. Finally, the organizational trust and acceptance of organizational change played as a partial mediator on the relationship between job characteristics and organizational commitment.

Sharing Economy: Effect of Shared Kitchen Service Quality on Experiential Value, Relational Commitment and Long-Term Orientation

  • Purpose: As the shared kitchen sector evolves into a new trend in the restaurant industry, not only operational support but also the physical environment for services is ranked as an important success factors. Therefore, the purpose of this thesis is to study the effect of shared kitchen service quality on experiential value, relational commitment, and long-term orientation. Research design, data, and methodology: In this study, a questionnaire was used to verify the structural relationship between shared kitchen service quality, experiential value, relational commitment, and long-term orientation for tenant companies in shared kitchen companies. The data were analyzed by using Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). Result: Facilities and support for the service quality of the shared kitchen had a positive (+) effect on the experiential value, and the environment did not. In addition, experiential value showed a significant positive (+) effect on relationship commitment and long-term orientation, and relationship commitment showed a significant positive (+) effect on long-term orientation. Conclusions: It was confirmed that the support quality among service quality affects the relationship formation. Thus, attention should be paid to activities to support stable business activities from the perspective of B2B services.

  • The previous researches on customer participation(CP) have examined the influences of CP on customer satisfaction and service quality focusing on the role of CP in the service encounters. However, this paper identifies the path relationships between CP and relationship commitment focusing on the impact of CP on the relational outcomes. By expanding the role of CP in the service encounter, this paper shows what relational variables can be influenced by CP in detail, which identifies that CP plays an important role in service encounter empirically. As results, CP has significant influences on the relationship commitment such as normative commitment, continuance commitment, and affective commitment respectively. Additionally, considering the characteristics of CP, CP is more impactful on normative commitment than affective commitment.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine which variables affect customer relationship management in discount store focusing on satisfaction, trust and commitment. A total of 360 participants who had purchased fashion products in discount store were used in this study. The data was analyzed by factor analysis, correlation analysis and regression analysis using SPSS program. As the result, benefits, information, reputation, product, location, salesperson and price factor were extracted. The price, information, reputation, product and location variables had the effects on satisfaction, especially, price had the major effects on satisfaction. The satisfaction, information, salesperson, price and location had the effects on trust. The satisfaction, trust, information, benefits and product had the effects on commitment. The reputation variable had direct effect on relationship maintenance. Also, satisfaction, trust and commitment had the effects on relationship maintenance. Specifically commitment had higher effect on relationship maintenance than satisfaction and trust did. The results of this study would provide CRM marketing strategy for fashion marketers of discount store.

Effects of Fashion Goods Promotion Strategy to CRM (Customer Relationship Management)

  • This study aims to determine any possible causation between identifying which major factors affect CRM(Customer Relationship Management) in terms of promotion strategies for fashion goods and classifying customers into several categories, so that it can seek reasonable strategic measures based on CRM. This study suggested a model by selecting several variables meeting its goals, and used total 672 sheets of questionnaire for final analysis. In addition, a structural equation model was analyzed As a result, it was found that pricing flexibility had more or less influential relationships with trust, satisfaction and commitment in CRM, although having a negative relationship with commitment. Salesperson's role was also significantly correlated with trust, satisfaction and commitment in CRM, and especially, there were more influential relationships with satisfaction than any other factor. Service quality had relatively high influential relationships with trust, satisfaction and commitment in CRM. Retained customers showed more or less influential relationships with trust, satisfaction and commitment, while loyal customers did so with satisfaction and commitment, except for trust.

  • Long-term relationship in distribution channels has been emphasized in the former researches. But many researches and literatures have not focused on how to achieve and maintain long-term relationship. To achieve and maintain long-term relationship, this study pays attention to the role of trust and commitment. The purpose of this study is explaining the relation between trust and commitment with the mutual perspectives of retailer and supplier. Research results indicate that trust has an effect on commitment, trust has two levels of firm and a responsible person, and perception of partners commitment has an effect on trust in two levels. And it shows that to increase perception of commitment, increasing commitment, quality of communication, satisfaction, reputation, and decreasing opportunistic behavior should be considered.

The Effects of Ethical Leadership on Organizational Identification and Organizational Commitment (윤리적 리더십이 조직동일시와 조직몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • The paper examines how ethical leadership and organizational identification contributed to explaining organizational commitment. In order to verify the relationships and mediating effect, data were collected from 256 individuals in employees working in small and medium-sized firms at Jinju, Changwon, Gimhae City to test theoretical model and its hypotheses. All data collected from the survey were analyzed using with SPSS 18.0. This study reports findings as follows: first, the relationship between the ethical leadership and the organizational identification is positively related. Second, there was also a positive correlation between the organizational identification and the organizational commitment. Third, the relationship between the ethical leadership and the organizational commitment is positively related. Finally, the organizational identification played as a partial mediator on the relationship between ethical leadership and organizational commitment. Based on these findings, the implications and the limitations of the study were presented including some directions for future studies.
