A QoS Management Scheme on Dynamic SLA in B3G Networks (B3G 네트워크에서 동적 SLA 기반 QoS 방안)

  • Service Level Agreement (SLA) is a service providing scheme by a service class agreement between a user and a service provider SLA allows that a user can select an expected service class in various service classes provided from a service provider. Recently, SLA management is adapted to support the end-to-end Qos for service users in Beyond 3 Generation (B3G) networks. In B3G networks, SLA provides multiple service classes on access networks so that service classes should be managed to assure the service satisfaction for users. In this paper, we propose a dynamic Qos management scheme by IP traffic class controlling based on SLA in B3G networks. Also, to manage dynamic traffic service, we consider Differentiated services (Diffserv) mechanism for the resource management by SLA. An If service traffic class on SLA can be dynamically changed by Diffserv traffic management to support dynamic end-to-end Qos. Hence, in this paper, we consider the buffer threshold scheme for controlling traffic loads and the traffic level control scheme for implementing the dynamic traffic management by the SLA.

  • 최근 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기반의 IT 서비스가 증가하면서 기업들 사이에 SLA가 중요한 화두로 대두되고 있다. 상업용 SLA 관리 툴들은 어플리케이션 또는 데이터베이스 계층에 계약관련 로직을 내장하고 있다. SLA 규칙들이 구현 로직 내에 암시적으로 표현되어 있어서 유지보수가 어렵고 계약사항을 공유하는 데 많은 어려움이 따른다. 따라서 오늘날과 같은 서비스 지향 아키텍처, 온 디맨드, 유틸리티컴퓨팅, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 전체 서비스를 자동 관리할 수 있는 기술에 대한 연구가 반드시 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 능동문서기반의 ASLM(Active Service Level Management)과 유럽에서 진행 중인 SLA@SOI 프로젝트의 계약서 작성 및 실행에 대한 구현 방법을 비교하였다. 비교결과 유지보수성과 자동화 측면을 고려할 때 계약 규칙 로직을 어플리케이션 로직과 분리한 ASLM의 구현방법이 SLA@SOI 보다 SLA 계약처리 업무에 적합함을 알 수 있었다.

  • Design techniques for programmable storage/logic arrays(SLA's) with easily testable features are discussed. The easily testable SLA's will be designed by using additional hardware to provide an easy means to set or check the states. These augmented SLA's have the very short universal test sequences such that the test patterns and responses are uniquely determined only by the size of the SLA's independently of the function of them. The types of faluts considered here are single and multiple stuck faults, crosspoint faults, and bridge faults in SLA's. Fault location and reapir of SLA's are also considered.

  • Internet is becoming more common with increasing cloud services have been spreading rapidly. A SLA is agreements between service providers and customers of service providers is how to ensure quality of service. SLA in cloud computing environments from the perspective of the IT service providers to customer satisfaction increase for service quality, it will need to differentiate between competing carriers QoS guarantees with SLA is a very important factor. However, the study of SLA in the cloud is staying in its infancy. In this paper, SLA indices for cloud services defining and use them SLA Management System for QoS guarantee has been implemented. The proposed system using monitoring-based migration policy an open source-based cloud computing platform which Cluster Nodes load distribution of virtual machines assigned to their availability, response time, throughput analysis of what affects and is compared with existing cloud.

  • Many companies have recently apply SLA and execute IT service by using SLA. However, there are no objective standards for selection and improvement of SLA evaluation metrics. We derive and present measurement attributes that are criteria for selection and improvement of SLA evaluation metrics as measurement metrics. We execute a case study based on D company in order to verify whether the measurement metrics are applicable. We apply and evaluate the measurement metrics that are applicable to D company, and then we designate an improvement line. We propose improvement guidelines of the measurement metrics which score is less than the improvement line's and derive SLA evaluation metrics. We prove that the way of selection and improvement is useful by applying SLA evaluation metrics to D company.

Effects of SLA surface treated with NaOH on surface characteristics and response of osteoblast-like cell (염기처리한 SLA 표면이 표면 특성 및 골모유사세포의 반응에 미치는 영향)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the surface characteristics and response of osteoblast-like cell at SLA surface treated with NaOH. Materials and methods: Three kinds of specimens were fabricated for the experiment groups. Control group was a machined surface, SLA group was a conventionally SLA treated surface, and SLA/NaOH gorup was SLA surface treated with NaOH. To evaluate the surface characteristics, the surface elemental composition (XPS), surface roughness and surface contact angle were evaluated in each group. And the cytotoxicity, cell adhesion, cell proliferation and ATP activity of osteoblast-like cells (MG-63 cells) were compared in each group for evaluatation of the cell responses. Statistical comparisons between groups were carried out via one-way ANOVA using the SPSS software (SPSS Inc., Chicago, USA), and then performed multiple comparisons. The differences were considered statistically significant at P<.05. Results: SLA surface treated with NaOH (SLA / NaOH group) was changed to hydrophilic surface. All groups did not show the cytotoxicity to the MG-63. In cell adhesion studies, SLA / NaOH group showed the higher degree of adhesion than anothers (P<.05), Up to 7 days of incubation, the proliferation was showed the increasing tendency in all groups but SLA / NaOH group showed the highest cell proliferation between the three groups (P<.05). At 7 days of incubation, there was no difference in ALP activities between the three groups, but at 14 days, SLA / NaOH group showed significant increase in ALP activities (P<.05). Conclusion: In this study, SLA surface treated with NaOH promoted cell adhesion, proliferation and differentiation. It means that SLA/NaOH group is possible to promote osseointegration of implants.

  • In this paper we describe SLA metrics and software architecture for newly upcoming IP TV service. Firstly we show the general description for IP TV. This consists of brief description of IP TV, the general figure of configuration and elements of IP TV network and communication protocol stack of IP TV data transmission for deriving communication quality parameter. And we propose SLA metrics depending on quality measurement point. According to the measurement point the measurable SLA metrics are different. The total view of the IP TV SLA measurement and management architecture is shown. When the quality measurement point is the routers that consist of internet node, the IP media NMS is the quality collection system. And when the quality measurement point is the IP TV STB(Set-Top Box), the IP media collector and Quality Collection Server are the quality collection system. And we show the software block diagram of IP TV SLA processing system and the other related network management systems.

  • 최근 SOA와 클라우드 컴퓨팅 기반의 IT 서비스가 증가함에 따라 정보처리 분야에서 SLA(Service Level Agreement)가 주목을 받고 있다. 통상의 SLA는 종이에 자연언어로 표현되는 것이어서 SLA 체결, SLA 관리나 SLA 기반 정보처리의 자동화가 제한된다. 오늘날과 같은 SOA, 온 디맨드 서비스, 유틸리티 컴퓨팅, 클라우드 컴퓨팅 환경에서는 서비스를 통합 자동관리할 수 있는 기술이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 능동문서 기반의 ASLM(Active Service Level Managenment)의 계약체결 사용자 인터페이스(UI: User Interface)를 구현하여 일반 문서의 경우와 비교하여 보았다. 그 결과 ASLM의 UI가 SLA 체결, SLA 유지보수 자동화, 그리고 사용자의 편의성에서 SLA 기반의 계약업무 처리에 보다 효과적임을 알 수 있었다.

  • 국내에서 SLA를 도입한 지 수 년이 지났지만 SLA에 대한 의미 있는 성과를 제시하는 사례는 많지 않았다. L그룹도 SLA를 도입하였지만 SLA와 연계된 대가산정 모델의 적용에 있어 다양한 이슈가 있어 왔고, 이를 해결하고자 수 년 간 계약모델을 지속적으로 발전시켜 SLA기반 장기계약모델(SLA V3.0)을 개발하여 적용하게 되었다. L그룹의 사례는 SLA 도입을 고려하고 있거나 현재 도입 중에 있는 조직들이 겪고 있는 다양한 이슈들에 대해 의미 있는 시사점을 제시한다.

  • 인터넷 서비스의 수요가 급증함에 따라 정보통신서비스 제공기법에서도 사용자에게 보장된 네트워크 품질 제공을 할 수 있도록 SLA(Service Level Agreement) 도입의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 서비스 품질내부자원 활용도를 증가시키고 타 기업간의 경쟁에 효과적으로 대응하기 위해서는 서비스 제공자와 사용자간의 협약인 SLA 제공이 이루어져야 한다. 최근 국내 몇 IDC 업체들로부터 SLA 제공이 시작되고 있으나, 국내 IP 기반 통신서비스 제공업체에서는 SLA 제공이 미흡한 실정이다. 본 논문에서는 IP 기반 통신망에서 필요한 SLA를 분류하고, 각 SLA에 영향을 미치는 네트워크 요소들을 살펴봄으로써, 기업에서는 SLA 제공을 통해 이용 가능한 네트워크 자원을 최적화 함과 동시에 사용자들에게 품질이 보장된 다양한 서비스를 제공한 수 있게 될 것이다.
