A Study on the Required Features of Social Network Service

  • The study is to investigate which features are perceived by Social Network Service(SNS) users as the most required one to further boost the usage of service, and to examine the perception of these features of SNS sites varies according to their demographic and service usage characteristics. The study also is to suggest a few of research propositions on the relationships between required features of SNS sites and characteristics of SNS users, based on statistical analyses. To accomplish these research purposes, the study defined characteristics of SNS users including demographic(gender, age) and service usage one(start time of service usage, service usage place), and required features of SNS sites(system, service, information, emotion) based on the literature review of SNS. The results show, based on the statistical analyses using survey questionnaire on Korean and Chinese SNS users, that there are differences in perception of required features of SNS sites among the respondents grouped by age, start time of service usage, service usage place. Finally, the study proposed three research propositions, based on the analysis result, that could be used in SNS related researches in the future.

  • This study presents how the recognition of nail care shop's SNS information and nail care service's quality affects to customer's satisfaction, with 257 women who is aged between 20 and 50, with survey. The recognition of nail care shop's SNS information is comprised with understanding, utilization, and loyalty. The recognition of nail care service's quality is comprised with external service, internal service, and the service attitude of employee. All the factors are verified with feasibility study and reliability test. The information about nail care service can be found at the internet and SNS most. The recognition of nail care shop's SNS information has positive effect with the satisfaction of SNS, and the recognition of nail care shop's quality has positive relationship with the satisfaction of nail care service. The various utilization of SNS service with systemic service attitude of employee can lead to positive effect of promoting a nail care shop.

  • Spread of internet service had a huge effect on usage and spread of SNS world widely. Variety of the service has increased from human network managing to commerce, education, payment method and so on. Also, it is expanding its service territory to not only PC area but also that of mobile equipment with development of information technology. Spread of use on SNS provides existing corporations the expansion of service area. Late SNS starter companies are advancing in diverse way for attracting users by serving shopping, games and other services with association with SNS. Therefore, analysis on consumers' thought and pattern which analyze users' demand, service's function and contents and other factors in order to reflect on plans and operations of SNS is needed. On this perspective, this research is suggesting properties that are crucially related to sustained usage of SNS and study factors of SNS's characteristics that influence trust and satisfaction on SNS and continuous usage intent of SNS.

The Effect Relationship between SNS Tourism Information Service Quality and Information Sharing Intention (SNS 관광정보 서비스품질과 정보공유의도 간 영향관계)

  • The objectives of this study are to suggest useful directions for promotion of SNS tourism information service to the service providers through investigating the effect relationship between SNS tourism information service quality and the information sharing intention. To achieve the objectives, as a conceptual framework of the study, the literature on SNS tourism information service quality and information sharing intention were reviewed, and the empirical studies on the perception of the service users about the services was conducted. The findings showed that the 'easy acquisition' and 'interactivity' factors of SNS tourism information service quality have an effect on the information sharing intention. Accordingly, the service providers are required to enhance the service quality related to the information acquisition and interaction between users.

Analysis of Differences in the Perceived Ease of Use, Service Value and Online Mouth-to-mouth Intention according to the Catering Companies Use SNS Features (외식기업 SNS 사용 특성에 따른 지각된 사용 용이성, 서비스가치 및 온라인 구전의도의 차이 분석)

  • The study is focused on analyzing the SNS using characteristics of the people surveyed, as for the SNS acceptance channel of the food service corporations, accounted voluntarily for 71%. The SNS food service information regarding information of menu, location of store, price, coupon, taste evaluation, event, promotion, reservation and store atmosphere was researched. The most preferred information sharing for SNS food service were researched and found Facebook, blog and others in increasing order. The most preferred media to obtain SNS food service information were smart phone, desktop computer and others. The result of verifying differences in the perceived ease of use were also evaluated according to the food service corporation of SNS using characteristics of the people and was found: the longer period of SNS use, longer was access time: more number of visiting times, higher perceived ease of use. As for the difference in the perceived service value: longer the period of SNS use, more preferred was the blog: the more number of visiting times, the higher perceived service value. As for the difference in the online mouth-to-mouth intention: longer the period of SNS use, longer was access time: the more number of visiting times, the higher online mouth-to-mouth intention. Therefore, these research results provide useful implications in the working-level aspects such as providing basic data and the academic approach of the study, when the food service corporations establish marketing strategies through SNS.

  • In recent years, SNS (Social Network Service) has spread globally and general corporate' utilization of SNS is gradually increasing. Accordingly, the scope of utilizing SNS is expanding not only as a simple publicity of products and services but also as a communication tool among the company members, the customer service and the product development, etc. This study is examining the related cases classified by the premier activities and the supportive activities of the private companies' viewpoints of utilizing the SNS. Based on this study results, we are proposing the strategic considerations for the private companies' SNS adoption by synthesizing the results of the analytical researches of the SNS cases that support the companies' value chain and the considerations of companies' utilization of the SNS that are proposed by the various private companies' research laboratories.

  • Social Network Service(SNS) users are increasing globally. Within that trend, 'SNS attacking' victims are increasing in social network service space like KakaoStory, facebook, or Instargram as people damage others' personality or reputation. In this paper is to investigate and analyze awareness of negative behavior attributed to disinhibition effect with undergraduates who are the group of people using social network service the most diversely in smart environment and devise preventive measures to reduce social network service attacking victims and attackers. In social network service space, undergraduates are hardly aware of other people's personality, defamation, or invasion of privacy, and the level of guilt they feel towards social network service attacking is seriously low. To solve this problem, this study suggests preventive measures so that they can be equipped with awareness and regulations right for this social network service age and can prevent negative behavior resulted from disinhibition effect.

  • In this paper, we analyze social network status and suggest TV SNS Service. According to alexa.com's recent chart, there are three SNS sites (facebook, myspace, twitter) in global top 20 sites. SNS usage has increased dramatically. Recently many SNS are growing up by opening their platform that make it easy to develope new services and functions by third party developers. KT is implementing open platform that is support Widget and SNS service. And Recently Social TV comes into the spotlight. Social TV is combination of social media and TV contents. It is enable to exchange emotion and opinion by communication with other people when watching Video contents. We propose TV SNS Service that provides various services by using advantage of SNS system and Social TV.

  • In this paper, we present integrated SNS Gateway as way to reduce mobile SNS traffic. Integrated SNS gateway's role is communication broker that located between mobile clients and SNS server. In Integrated SNS gateway, web service adapter communicates with SNS Server. Experiment was performed in aspects of contents RTT and network traffic. We evaluate and propose performances of integrated SNS gateway using gateway.

  • According to the rapid spreading of smart phone, the use of social network service(SNS) is also increasing rapidly. Social network service(SNS) which plays an important role in customer relationship management and brand management is becoming more important. This study aims to find out if differences exist in the perceptions of service quality and the consumer behaviors between Korean and Chinese consumers using SNS. In order to achieve the objectives of the study, the literatures of service quality and consumer behavior theory is reviewed. And based on the literature reviews, dimensions related to service quality and consumer behavior are derived and T-test is used to identify the differences. According to the analysis, significant differences exist in the perceptions of service quality and consumer behaviors between Korean and Chinese consumers using SNS. The results not only provide theoretical evidences for further SNS study but also provide practical evidences for companies in their overseas expansion.
