In conducting the analysis of variance for the split-plot design using the statistical package SPSS, users including statisticians are faced with difficulties because of no appropriate example in the SPSS applications guide book. In this paper, therefore, we present an analysis of variance procedure for the split-plot design using SPSS syntax window.

In this study, we compare multivariate R-techniques in the up-to-date versions of SAS, SPSS, Minitab and S-plus. The direct input method by typing in command is considered for SAS, while the menu-driven method is considered for SPSS, Minitab and S-plus. Comparison was made in terms of input data format, input option, charts and outputs.

This study analyzed empirically the same data through SPSS statistics(regression analysis) and AMOS program(structural equation model) used for cause and effect analysis. The result of empirical analysis of moderation effect was as follows. Meanwhile, SPSS statistics(regression analysis) did not pictured moderation effect in the categorical data(sex) and continous data(satisfaction of consunting), AMOS program(structural equation model) pictured partial moderation effect about the effecting of consultant's capability and attitude on the consulting repurchase within 10% level of significant. Eventually, This study showed that AMOS program and SPSS statistics used different methology in moderation effect, thus the different outcomes appeared although using the same data.

Objectives : The aim of the study is to investigate the influence of the stress of adults on their oral mucosal diseases, dry mouth and physical, mental stress symptoms. Structured equation model (SEM) was used to analyze the hypotheses of the study. Methods : The subjects were 500 adultsfrom July 1 to December 31, 2012. The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0 (SPSS 18.0 K for window, SPSS Inc USA) and IBM SPSS Amos 18.0 (SPSS Inc, Chicago, IL, USA) set at the level of significance as 0.05. Results : The level of stress had a direct influence on oral mucosal diseases, and oral mucosal diseases affected stress symptoms directly. The level of stress had a significant impact on stress symptoms, and that exercised an indirect influence on stress symptoms through the medium of oral mucosal diseases and dry mouth. The level of stress affected dry mouth in a direct effects, and dry mouth had a direct impact on stress symptoms. Conclusions : The stress of adults had direct and indirect impacts on their oral health and systemic diseases. The oral health of adults should be promoted to let them stay healthy, and how to help them to get rid of their stress should be considered to improve their quality of life.

In this study, we provide a comparison of multivariate Q-techniques in the up-to-date versions of SAS, SPSS, Minitab and S-plus well known to those who study statistics. We can analyze data through the direct Input method(command) in SAS and use of menu method in SPSS, Minitab and S-plus. The analysis performance method is chosen by the high frequency of use. Widely we compare with each Q-techniques form according to input data, input option, statistical chart and statistical output.

This paper presented the development trend of UPS and SPS system has focused on large scale system and more convenient system to maintenance and management. In this paper, we proposed low price and high performance SPSs which can de voltage regulation, harmonic reduction, and capable capacity extension in power. These SPSs are composed by two SPSs in their functional structure, one is power control part including voltage regulation and instant voltage compensaton. The others part is web based monitoring and trend management part for more convenient to SPS operator.

A new driving circuit for the SPSS (Single-Pulse Soft-Switching) PFC converter is proposed. The switching device of a SPSS converter switches once in every half cycle of an AC commercial power source. Therefore, it can be solved many problems caused by the high frequency operation. The proposed SPSS converter achieves the soft-switching operation and the EMI noise can be reduced. The resonant capacitor voltage supplies to the resonant inductor even if the input AC voltage is the vicinity of zero cross voltage. Then, the power factor and input current waveform can be improved without delay time. A new driving circuit achieves the operation of SPSS converter by one switching drive circuit. The proposed converter can be satisfied the IEC standard sufficiently

The purpose of this study was to examine the stress of health-related majoring students on their physical and temporomandibular joint symptoms. The subjects were 283 college students in Chungcheongnam-do province from September 1 to November 30, 2012. The data were analyzed using SPSS 18.0(SPSS 18.0 K for window, SPSS Inc, USA) with the level of significance as 0.05. The findings of the study were as follows: There were significant differences among the university students in stress according to age, academic year, smoking and snack intake. Significant differences were found in digestive symptoms according to gender, academic year, drinking and snack intake, and there were significant differences in temporomandibular joint symptoms. Stress had a significant correlation to physical symptoms and temporomandibular joint symptoms. As for the influence of stress on physical symptoms and temporomanbular joint symptoms. In this study, how to help college students to relieve stress in a sound manner, to promote their physical, mental and oral health and ultimately to lead a sound college life should carefully be considered.
