RFID를 활용한 안전 스쿨버스 시스템 설계 (Design of Safety School Bus System Using RFID)

  • 스쿨버스 사용이 보편화됨에 따라 통학버스 운전자 및 동승 보호자의 과실로 인한 사고 발생이 빈번하여 어린이들의 스쿨버스 하차 확인을 의무화하는 등의 관련 법안이 제정되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 에너지 활용도와 비용 측면에서 효율적인 RFID(Radio-Frequency Identification)와 모바일 APP을 연동한 안전한 스쿨버스 시스템을 제안 한다. 스쿨버스 시스템은 RFID 카드를 이용해 스쿨버스에 탑승하는 어린이들의 승·하차 정보를 확인하고, 실시간 SMS 전송으로 학부모들은 아이들을 안심하고 등·하원 시킬 수 있다. 스쿨버스에 동승한 지도교사들은 아이들의 하차 정보를 APP을 통해 한 번 더 확인 할 수 있어 버스 내에 남겨진 아이들에게 일어날 수 있는 각종 사고를 예방할 수 있다. 어린이집 선생님들은 스쿨버스 운행일지의 자동화로 인해 더욱 효율적으로 승·하차 정보 확인뿐만 아니라 원생들의 등·하원 정보까지 관리 할 수 있다.

  • In PDP, bus electrode should have low resistance for high efficiency. The transparent dielectric affects the shape change of bus electrode during the firing. These are related with the electrical property of the electrode. In this study, the shape of electrode was controlled by firing schedules of the transparent dielectric and the bus electrode.

  • 본 논문은 OCP(Open Core Protocol)에 호환되는 파이프라인 구조를 가진 시스템 버스와 MPEG 시스템에 적합한 메모리 버스로 구성된 계층 구조를 가지는 새로운 동기 세그먼트 버스를 제안한다. 이 구조는 MPEG 시스템의 모바일 제품에 사용되는 영상 데이터 처리를 위한 메모리 인터페이스에 기반을 둔 버스 구조와 멀티 마스터와 멀티 슬레이브를 사용하여 고성능의 다중 처리를 위한 양방향 다중 버스 구조(hi-direction multiple bus architecture)를 가진다. 효율적인 데이터 처리를 위하여 파이프라인 스테이지와 결합된 마스터와 슬레이브의 주소번지가 latency를 결정하며, 시스템의 특성에 따라서 각각의 IP 코어를 배치하였다. 제안된 버스는 저전력 구현을 위하여 세그먼트 버스 구조를 가지고, 멀티미디어 SoC 시스템의 성능 저하 없이 다중 작업이 가능한 구조를 가지며 확장이 가능하다. 제안된 버스 구조는 AMBA와 비교하였을 때 bandwidth는 3.7배 증가하였고 latency는 0.25배 감소하였다.

  • In recent years, the population of children has been declining in Korea. Moreover, the phenomenon of elementary school closures is on the rise, particularly in non-urban and some new city areas, highlighting the need for school buses for children. Despite the mandatory safety features in place, accidents involving school buses for children are on the rise, underscoring the need for improvement in the safety of these vehicles. While various studies have been conducted to enhance the safety of children during their school commute, there has been a notable gap in research analyzing the school commuting environment concerning the vehicle safety of these buses. Hence, this study aims to develop a set of service evaluation criteria for school bus routes, considering vehicle safety through the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP). By conducting a survey to gather information on the current status of school buses for children and through questionnaires targeting stakeholders in the school bus sector, the study analyzed requirements and operating conditions. These results were used to select evaluation criteria and structure the hierarchy based on the external and internal aspects of school bus services. Through AHP surveys conducted based on the designed criteria, experts identified safety as the most crucial aspect, with a specific emphasis on Vehicle Safety. Using these developed service evaluation criteria, the study plans to identify service-vulnerable routes through a real route analysis and recommend improvements, with the ultimate goal of creating a safe and convenient school commuting environment for children.

Exploring On-Chip Bus Architectures for Multitask Applications

  • In this paper we present a static performance estimation technique of on-chip bus architectures. The proposed technique requires the static scheduling of function blocks of a task to analyze bus conflicts caused by simultaneous accesses from processing elements to which function blocks are mapped. To apply it to multitask applications, the concurrent execution of the function blocks of different tasks also should be considered. Since tasks are scheduled independently, considering all cases of concurrency in each processing element is impractical. Therefore we make an average estimate on the effects of other tasks with respect to bus request rate and bus access time. The proposed technique was incorporated with our exploration framework for on-chip bus architectures, Its viability and efficiency are validated by a preliminary example.

  • The bus is regarded as one of the most frequently used public transportation systems, the research and development on driving stability, safety, and convenience for drivers and passengers has tremendously increased in recent days. This paper investigated the design of the bus door mechanism composed of an actuator (or motor) and linkages. The bus door mechanism is divided into many types according to the coupling of the linkages and the driving system. The mathematical models of all types of door mechanism have been constructed for computer simulation. To design the bus door mechanism, we developed a simulation program, which automates the kinematic and dynamic analysis according to the input parameters of each linkage and the driving system. Using this program, we investigated the design parameters that affect the kinematic and dynamic characteristics of the bus door mechanism under various simulation conditions. In addition, simple examples are examined to validate the developed program.

  • Stabilization of the DC bus voltage is an important task in DC-AC microgrid system with renewable energy source such as solar system. A battery energy storage system (BESS) has become a general solution to stabilize the DC-bus voltage in DC-AC microgrid. This paper develops the analog BESS controller which requires neither computation nor dc-bus voltage measurement, so that the system can be implemented simply and easily. Even though others methods can stabilize and control the DC-bus voltage, it has complicated structure in control and low adaptive capability. The proposed topology is simple but is able to compensate the solar source variation and stabilize the DC-bus voltage under any loads and distributed generation (DG) conditions. In addition, the design of analog controller is presented to obtain a robust system. In order to verify the effectiveness of the proposed control strategy, simulation is carried out by using PSIM software.

어린이 통학버스의 로드 프로젝션 등화장치 표준 제정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Establishment of a Standard for Road Projection Lighting Devices for School Buses)

  • When a children's school bus stops on the road, the operator enables an amber flashing light (indicating stopping or slowing) or a red flashing light (indicating that children are getting on and off). Drivers of vehicles passing by the stopped school bus, as well as vehicles in adjacent lanes to the school bus must stop temporarily. However, many drivers are not aware of the laws and do not comply with them, so children are exposed to an increased risk of being hit, especially at night as the color recognition of the vehicle is significantly lower than during the day. In our experiments, messages and shapes using light were projected to the front and rear of a parked school bus, in addition to its red lights flashing.

  • In this paper, we propose IBS(ITO-BUS Separated) electrode structure. BUS electrode lines are placed apart from the ITO electrode lines, and they are electrically connected with vertical auxiliary electrodes. We varied the lengths of the vertical electrodes as 70, 120, 320um. The highest luminous efficiency and the largest IR emission peak were obtained for 70um length.

  • In express bus which has no window, the air quality inside the bus is very critical for the passengers who staying for an extended time. Air conditioning system using natural energy is expected to significantly improve the air quality while the bus runs the suburban area. But the express buses today usually attempt to ventilate using air conditioning system, rather than natural ventilation. In this study, analysis of existing ventilation opening and the new ventilation system on roof, using computer simulation. As a result, two cases using existing ventilation device was found to be effective for partial ventilation only, while the air in front remains standstill. The new system proved to have promoted more dynamic ventilation in most of space.
