Factors Influencing Entrepreneurial Intention of Young Entrepreneurs Preparing to Operate Smart Farms - The Mediating Effect of Entrepreneurship and Entrepreneurial Opportunity Recognition - (스마트팜 예비 청년창업농의 창업의지 영향요인 분석 - 기업가정신과 창업기회인식의 매개효과 -)

  • This study aimed to identify the factors that influence young entrepreneurs' desire to start a smart farm business. Young entrepreneurs' entrepreneurial self-efficacy, entrepreneurial intention, entrepreneurship, and Entrepreneurial opportunity recognition were modeled structurally, and the mediating effect of entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial opportunity recognition was investigated. Data were conducted from 159 usable questionnaires. The following are the findings of this study. Entrepreneurial self-efficacy did not have a significant effect on entrepreneurial intention, but entrepreneurship and entrepreneurial opportunity recognition were found to have a mediating effect on entrepreneurial intention. Therefore, the preparation of training programs to encourage entrepreneurship or the dissemination of pertinent information to identify opportunities should take precedence over immediate startup.

A Study on the Effects of the Elderly's Social Support and Self-Esteem on the Suicidal Ideation (노인의 사회적 지지와 자아존중감이 자살생각에 미치는 영향)

  • Objectives: This study was aimed to inspect what relation there exists between the elderly's social support, self-esteem and the suicidal thinking, and examined factors influencing their suicidal ideation. Methods: For 207 old persons above 65 residing at Seoul, questionnaire survey was performed for 4 weeks. For response data, t-test and ANOVA, Pearson's Correlation Coefficient and Multiple Regression Analysis were performed using spss 18.0 program. Results: The results of analysis are like followings. 1. As for the social support according to the general characteristics, there was statistically significant difference in sex distinction, religion, living arrangement, educational level, monthly allowance and mode to use spare time. As for self-esteem according to the general characteristics, there was statistically significant difference in sex distinction, religion, living arrangement and monthly allowance. And as for the suicidal ideation, there was statistically significant difference in the marital status. 2. As for the relation between the social support, self-esteem and the suicidal ideation, it showed statistically very significant positive correlation in the social support and self-esteem. And there existed relatively higher positive correlation in family support among sub-factors of the social support and the positive self-recognition among sub-factors of self-esteem. 3. It showed that positive and negative self-recognition as sub-factors of self-esteem, others' support as sub-factor of the social support influence on the suicidal ideation. In other words, as positive self-recognition was lower, as negative self-recognition was higher, as social support of others was lower, they had much more effect on the suicidal ideation of the elderly. And it showed about 36.1% of the explanatory capability. Conclusions: Health care providers should develop school health education for the elderly.

3-D Underwater Object Recognition Using PZT-Epoxy 3-3 Type Composite Ultrasonic Transducers (PZT-에폭시 3-3형 복합압전체 초음파 트랜스듀서를 사용한 3차원 수중 물체인식)

  • In this study, 3-D underwater object recognition using the self-made 3-3 type composite ultrasonic transducer and modified SOFM(Self Organizing Feature Map) neural network are investigated. Properties of the self-made 3-3 type composite specimens are satisfied considerably with requirements as an underwater ultrasonic transducer's materials. 3-D underwater all object's recognition rates obtained from both the training data and testing data in different objects, such as a rectangular block, regular triangular block, square block and cylinderical block, were 100% and 94.0%, respectively. All object's recognition rates are obtained by utilizing the self-made 3-3 type composite transducer and SOFM neural network. From the object recognition rates, it could be seen that an ultrasonic transducer fabricated with the self-made 3-3 type composite resonator will be able to have application for the underwater object recognition.

A Study on the Recognition, Knowledge, and Self-Efficiency of the Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation of Care Helpers (요양보호사의 기본심폐소생술에 대한 인지, 지식 및 자기효능감에 대한 연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to help care workers to do their best as first respondents by analysing their recognition, knowledge, and self-efficacy on basic CPR (cardiopulmonary resuscitation) that is directly connected to the lives of patients and thus their education and methods can be improved for their positive basic lifesaving work. Method: For this purpose 360 structured questionnaires were used to the subjects in the eastern area of Jeonnam province from June 20 to July 4, 2011. Of these questionnaires 217 were used excluding 113 incomplete, 27 error, and 3 male ones. The collected data were analysed by the real number, the percentage, the average, the standard deviation, t-test, ANOVA, and Tukey with SPSS WIN 18.0. Results: 1. In the view of subjects, those aged over 51 accounted for 96(44.2%) as the majority, high school graduates, 95(43.8%), worked for 1 or more than 1 year-less than 2 years, 66(30.4%), experienced to see persons collapsed losing their consciousness, 46(21.2%), took the education, 184(85.7%), had 1 session of education, 80(43%), got the last education for 2 or more than 2 years 68(37%), and practiced through mannequin for the education aids, 86(46.7%). 2. There was significant difference in the view of recognition with the length of work (p=.010) and experienced to see persons collapsed losing their consciousness (p=.020), in the view of knowledge with academic background (p=.040) and the length of work, and in the view of self-efficacy with academic background (p=.002), the length of work (p=.010) and experienced to see persons collapsed losing their consciousness (p=.000). 3. There was significant difference in the session of education (p=.000), last education (p=.025) and education aids for basic CPR. Self-efficacy had significant difference according to the session of education for basic CPR (p=.001) and the time of education (p=.000). 4. There was correlation between recognition and self-efficacy (r=.41). The higher the recognition is, the better the self-efficacy improves. However the correlation between knowledge and self-efficacy was so low that the former did not have influence on self-efficacy. Conclusions: It needs to offer education to the lifesaving workers based on their experiences. If there is education more than 2 sessions in a year with mannequin and the simulation providing sufficient hours, care workers' recognition would be increased resulting in higher self-efficacy and thus they could keep the role of active lifesaving worker at the first practical site.

  • 3D object recognition independent of translation and rotation using an ultrasonic sensor array, invariant moment vectors and SOFM(Self Organizing Feature Map) neural networks is presented. Using invariant moment vectors of the acquired 16×8 pixel data of square, rectangular, cylindric and regular triangular blocks, 3D objects could be classified by SOFM neural networks. Invariant moment vectors are constant independent of translation and rotation. The recognition rates for the training and testing data were 95.91% and 92.13%, respectively.

  • According as many people use a computer newly, damage of computer virus and hacking is rapidly increasing by the crucial users. To block hacking that is intrusion of a person's computer and the computer virus that destroys data, a study for intrusion-detection of system and virus detection using a biological immune system is in progress. In this paper, we make a model of positive selection and negative selection of self-recognition process that is ability of T-cytotoxic cell that plays an important part in biological immune system. So we embody a self-nonself distinction algorithm in computer. To prove the efficacy of self-recognition algorithm, we use simulations by a cell change and a string change of self file.

  • This study is focusing on the fact that Medical bodies are a labor-intensive organization in the technological field which needs technical knowledge and concerted efforts and then explaining the job value and the workplace value on the basis of trust in terms of a sense of organizational unity. The study reveals that, the higher recognition of their seniors the medical workers have, the higher level of self-esteem for job value they have. In terms of personal characteristics, educational experience has a meaningful influence on self-esteem for job value; in terms of job characteristics, the period of one`s service and monthly salary have a meaningful influence on it. And, it is found, the higher the pride on workplace, respect and trust in seniors, loyalty to seniors and self-esteem for job value are, the more proud they feel of workplace.

Recognition, Self and Objective Evaluations of Nosocomial Respiratory Infection Control Practices by ICU Nurses (중환자실 간호사의 호흡기계 병원감염관리 인지도와 실천정도 조사연구)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was two-fold : to describe the level of recognition of nosocomial respiratory infections by ICU nurses and to compare self evaluation and objective evaluation of nosocomial respiratory infection control practices by ICU nurses. Method: Data were collected from 78 nurses in intensive care units in one university affiliated hospital in Kyung Ki Province. Data were collected from March 4 to March 18, 2002. The recognition and self evaluation data were collected through a self report questionnaire and an objective evaluation which was done by observing the actual behavior of the nurses. Result: The results of this study showed that there was a significant positive relationship between recognition scores and self evaluation scores. However, there was no significant relationship between level of recognition and objective evaluation, nor between self evaluation and objective evaluation of infection control Practices by ICU nurses. Conclusion: ICU nurses In this study gave higher scores on self evaluation of their practice than were shown in the observation evaluation of actual practice. Moreover, in the objective evaluation the nurses had the lowest score on the item, 'washing hands before taking care of patients'. The results indicate that it is necessary to develop a standardized practice manual on nosocomial respiratory infection control in the ICU. Also, it is necessary to have a program to transfer knowledge into actual practice.

Facial Expression Recognition through Self-supervised Learning for Predicting Face Image Sequence

  • In this paper, we propose a new and simple self-supervised learning method that predicts the middle image of a face image sequence for automatic expression recognition. Automatic facial expression recognition can achieve high performance through deep learning methods, however, generally requires a expensive large data set. The size of the data set and the performance of the algorithm are tend to be proportional. The proposed method learns latent deep representation of a face through self-supervised learning using an existing dataset without constructing an additional dataset. Then it transfers the learned parameter to new facial expression reorganization model for improving the performance of automatic expression recognition. The proposed method showed high performance improvement for two datasets, CK+ and AFEW 8.0, and showed that the proposed method can achieve a great effect.
