Analysis and Implications of Singapore's Smart Nation: Focusing on the Implemental Means of Smart City Initiative (싱가포르 스마트 네이션의 분석과 함의: 스마트시티 이니셔티브의 실행적 수단을 중심으로)

  • This study focuses on that, unlike evolving smart technology, goals, policies, and administrative organization elements are tools that do not change in smart city implementation, and by applying the concept of policy implemental means, the characteristics of the Singapore Smart Nation Initiative are analyzed, results are derived and implications are suggested. To this end, literature analysis is conducted based on the case analysis framework with "Smart Nation" as an analysis unit and "project, administration, citizen engagement" as analysis elements. The implications through analysis are as follows. First, it is required to establish a state-led initiative for a major transformation into a digital society. Second, it is necessary to establish executive agencies directly under the president or prime minister for effective implementation of the initiative. Third, complementary programs at the level of detailed strategies, administrative organizations, and citizen participation as a means of implementation, should be considered and the flow of the recent digital ecosystem should be reflected. Fourth, it is necessary to promote a national movement for a great transformation into a digital society where all the people participate.

  • Nation-building comprises activities related to creating good, smart and courageous people, building a system that supports the nation's people to live together in an orderly way and building a context that facilitates the nation's people and the nation's system to undertake its duties to the fullest capacity, under the agreed ideology. The process of nation-building is complex and there are many components that contribute to the success of nation-building. As the world is developing towards the knowledge society in the present time, ICT is one tool that will help make the process of nation-building, easier, faster and more successful. Therefore, this article aims to analyze how ICT is important to nation-building covering all aspects of economics, politics and society and involving, people, systems and contexts of Thai society, to explain the present ICT situation in Thailand; and to recommend Thailand's innovative strategy on ICT for nation-building.

Of course, the popularization of the smart phone called 'PC in the hands' has brought a revolutionary change to nation livelihood, and also to business and government, too. The current usage of Smartphone is not just a simple function call, people can communicate anytime, anywhere with it.   • The Smart Home and the Home Networking industry have growth rate in 53.9% per year, and many nations appoint it as a nation's developing industry to research and invest. As KS, a standard composing smart instruments for smart home, maintain systematically in every year, and in other side construction standardization only in way to indicate, but never has national standard. Based on the Modular Coordination(MC) the framing standard of design drawing was examined in every year, and in same way for making the framing standard about Smart Home there need making a Modular Coordination(MC) at first. This investigation recognize the necessity about the modular that will be the base of architectural space which control the smart instruments. And aimed at indicating smart modular through the research about modular of the existing residence space and survey about the applicable smart technology.

  • The story of "A Tale of the Conquest over a Big Enemy from an Underground Nation" is a story that is distributed all over the world. This familiar narrative structure can be accepted without great objection even in places with different cultures. In case of storytelling with the elements extracted from the narrative according to the previous research, storytelling of the picture book was carried out using the element and structure of the narrative. One of the ways to content the story is called a re-writing. In this paper, we divided the components of picture book into literary subjects, plots, characters, and backgrounds. "A Tale of the Conquest over a Big Enemy from an Underground Nation" is analyzed in the same way. And presented storytelling of the picture book.

In this paper, we analyze compatibility and usability of essential digital textbook and device in smart education. Through this paper to indicate the optimum effectiveness in using a limited budget.   • Under the wave of the Fourth Industrial Revolution, developed countries around the world recognize Smart Factory as a core base and strive to enhance the nation's industrial competitiveness through related policies and industry development. Domestic ministries have also set up a strategy for manufacturing innovation 3.0 and are pushing for the expansion of smart factories with 30,000 targets by 2025. In this study, we analyze the practical cases of smart factory security related companies and present the application methods for the same industry. we also intend to contribute to the protectetion of important information in Smart Factory and stable operation.

Numerical Investigation of Motion Response of the Tanker at Varying Vertical Center of Gravities

  • The vertical center of gravity (VCG) has a significant impact on the roll motion response of a surface ship, particularly oil tankers based on the oil level in the tanker after discharging oil at several stations or positional changes, such as changes in the superstructure and deck structure. This study examined the motion response of the Korea very large crude carrier 2 (KVLCC2) at various VCGs, especially roll motion when the VCG changed. The potential theory in the Ansys AQWA program was used as a numerical simulation method to calculate the motion response. On the other hand, the calculations obtained through potential theory overestimated the roll amplitudes during resonance and lacked precision. Therefore, roll damping is a necessary parameter that accounts for the viscosity effect by performing an experimental roll decay. The roll decay test estimated the roll damping coefficients for various VCGs using Froude's method. The motion response of the ship in regular waves was evaluated for various VCGs using the estimated roll-damping coefficients. In addition, the reliability of the numerical simulation in motion response was verified with those of the experiment method reported elsewhere. The simulation results showed that the responses of the surge, sway, heave, pitch, and yaw motion were not affected by changing the VCG, but the natural frequency and magnitude of the peak value of the roll motion response varied with the VCG.

  • Currently, the nation's medical industry is changing due to the rapid development of technology. In addition, medical accidents occurring in the medical industry are gradually increasing amid the drastic changes. Therefore, a possible solution to medical accidents in the changing health care industry is needed. Accordingly, this study uses network-centrality analysis to examine the business ecosystem of smart surgical medical systems to find ways to increase the efficiency of surgery as well as the resolution of medical accident problems, and to suggest the direction of development of the medical system in the future from a systematic business ecosystem perspective.

  • The In the 4th industrial revolution, cyber space will evolve into hyper-connectivity, super-convergence, and super-intelligence due to the development of advanced information and communication technologies, which will connect the nation's core infrastructure into a single network. As applying the 4th industrial revolution technology to the cyber attack technique, it is evolving in an intelligent and sophisticate method. In order to response intelligent cyber attacks, it is difficult to guarantee self-defense in cyberspace by policy-oriented, preplanned-centric and hierarchical cyber response strategies. Therefore, this research aims to propose a situation-flexible & action-oriented cyber response mechanism that can respond flexibly by selecting the most optimal smart security solution according to changes in the cyber attack steps. The proposed cyber response mechanism operates the smart security solutions according to the action-oriented detailed strategies. In addition, artificial intelligence-based decision-making systems are used to select the smart security technology with the best responsiveness.
