Commercial space tourism is being developed and this trend is expected to continue and accelerate. Although opportunities and threats of space tourism attracted the interest of academia, literature on potential demand, attitudes and people's motivations for space tourism is scarce. In this context, this paper investigates young generations' interest and motivations towards different forms of space tourism. The cluster analysis on 2,207 respondents highlighted an interest in space tourism although motivated by different reasons, levels of budget and sustainability aspects. Interest in space tourism varies according to how far it is perceived as potential, possible or sustainable, or to people's personal feelings. The paper adds to contributions in the tourism field by investigating the opportunities space can offer this industry.

세계적 고령화 현상과 새로운 라이프 스타일로 인하여 새로운 관광 형태인 헬스투어리즘은 전세계적으로 주목 받고 있다. 이 연구의 목적은 헬스투어리즘의 경쟁 요인을 분석하고 이에 맞는 제주지역 헬스투어리즘 모델을 제안하는 것이다. 문헌 연구를 통해 헬스투어리즘의 개념과 유형에 대한 이론적 고찰과 경쟁 요인 도출, 그리고 의료간섭 위계공간에 대한 고찰을 진행하였다. 이어서 제주 지역 관광, 의료, 정책에 관한 전문가를 대상으로 설문 조사를 실시하였으며 이를 바탕으로 하여 제주지역 헬스투어리즘의 경쟁 요인을 분석 한 결과, 제주지역 헬스투어리즘은 건강 서비스 공간보다 자연 치유 공간에서 중요성이 더 높은 것으로 확인되었다. 이러한 분석을 바탕으로 제주지역 헬스투어리즘은 자연치유공간과 비의료치유공간을 기반으로 자연자원, 치유자원, 활동자원 등 3가지 관광자원을 활용하는 모델을 제시하였다.

전 세계적으로 우주로의 여행 (우주여행, Space Tourism)에 대한 많은 관심이 일어나고 있다. 특히 2004년 10월 4일 Scaled Composites찬의 SpaceShipOne이 2주 연속하여 지상 100km 정도의 지구 저궤도 (Sub-Orbital) 비행에 성공함으로써 이러한 관심은 폭발적으로 증가하고 있다. 이것은 우주여행이라는 것이 민간에 의한 우주 개발의 노력으로 시도된다는 측면에서 기존의 패러다임, 즉, 우주 개발은 국가 주도 하에서만 가능하다는 기존의 패러다임을 부정하는 상당히 획기적인 사건이기 때문이었다. 따라서 민간주도의 우주여행 사업에 대해 미국을 중심으로 한 민간업체의 개발 동향과 함께 지구 저궤도 우주비행체에 대한 (응용) 시장의 (창출) 가능성, 법적인 측면, 사업적 관점, 그리고 기술적 관접에서 바라보고자 한다.

The purpose of present study is that according to the changing tourism environment, detailed cultural environment will be utilized in the active way as systematized theme-based cultural space, and the increase of small theme-based cultural space will contribute to active participation of customers and local development with various programs. TCS was classified to theme-based cultural space contents E5(Education, Entertainment, Experience, Emotion and Economy) in focus of contents in which software is regarded more importantly than hardware, and was analyzed as contents of ten key tourism trend of the future. The present study indicate that experience centered tourism environment stood out in theme-based cultural space, and new era of cultural tourism to which storytelling in focus of emotion is applied will be coming.

This article is dedicated to my colleague and friend Professor Soon-Kil Hong, Ph.D, who is the famous President of the Korean Association of Air and Space Law and distinguished teacher at the prestigious Hankuk Aviation University. I had the honour and pleasure to teach there a few years ago - upon his gracious invitation. Professor Soon-Kil Hong has made a long, outstanding and impressive career in aviation and space activities, both from a practitioners and academic perspective. That is why I have tried to find a subject which addresses these facets of his personality although this humble article cannot do justice to the great merits of Professor Soon-Kil Hong. This article discusses the liability aspects for damages and injuries to passengers on suborbital flights, by examining: 1. Recent developments regarding space tourism 2. The interaction between technology and tourism has been a dynamic research area recently. This study aims to review the progress and development of technology in tourism research via a bibliometric analysis. We derive the source data from the Web of Science (WoS) core collection and use CiteSpace for bibliometric analysis, including countries, institutions, authors, categories, references, and keywords. The analysis results are as follows: i) The number of published articles on the role of technology in tourism has increased in recent years. ii) Technology-related articles in tourism are abundant in Tourism Management, Journal of Travel Research, and Annals of Tourism Research. iii) The countries with the most contributions are China, the US, and the UK. The most active institutions are the Hong Kong Polytechnic University, University of Central Florida, Bournemouth University, University of Queensland, and Kyung Hee University. iv) The reference analysis results identify eight extensively researched topics from the most cited papers, and the keyword burst analysis results present an emerging trend. This study identifies the effect and development of technology in tourism research. Our findings provide implications for researchers about the current research focus of technology and the future research trend of technology in the tourism field.

This paper first gives a brief overview of the history of space law making in the international geopolitical context and recalls some of the main principles as elaborated in the framework of the United Nations. Next, several topics are discussed that will require the attention of space lawyers in the near future. They are the International Space Station, space debris, exploitation of space resources, space tourism, private property rights in space, and militarization and weaponization of space. The paper raises some questions in each of these areas that need to be addressed and concludes that the general legal framework for space activities under public international law as contained in the UN treaties is in place, and is sufficiently general and flexible to enable and encourage states to carry out space activities in an orderly manner. However, as demonstrated by the examples discussed in the paper, the time has come for the international community to agree on the further development of these general principles, starting perhaps with space debris, imminent 'new' uses of space such as space tourism, or some of the 'age old' issues such as the weaponisation of outer space that will continue to require our attention and vigilance. Whether such rules can be in the form of non binding guidelines, codes of conduct and the like, or should be embodied in solid legal instruments creating rights and obligations remains to be seen.

A rocket-powered vehicle is designed conceptually which uses an engine running on methane and oxygen and delivering 10 tons of thrust. The aerodynamic coefficients of the vehicle are taken to be those of the Japan's HOPE-X, and the weight of this vehicle is estimated using a method developed by NASA. The resulting vehicle will be about 9 meters long, 5.8 meters in wing span, weigh about 2 tons empty, carry a maximum of 5.6 tons of propellant, and endure a g-load of 4.5. The craft will be able to carry five passengers, in addition to a pilot, and fly for space tourism between a northern and a southern airport with a maximum g-load varying from 3g to 4g depending on the route flown.

우주의 급속한 상업화와 더불어 본격적인 상업우주운송시대가 열리고 있다. 이 상업우주운송 중 가장 먼저 실현될 것으로 보이는 분야는 우주여행분야로서 이를 위한 우주운송체 개발이 Virgin Galatic 사와 XCOR Aerospace 사 등 민간기업의 주도로 진행되고 있다. 우주여행을 위한 우주운송체는 재 사용가능한 운송체(Resuable Launch Vehicle)로 개발되고 있으며 Virgin Galatic사의 Spaceship I과 II는 시험비행을 성공리에 끝내고 2012년 경 부터 본격적인 우주여행에 투입할 계획이다. 우리나라도 예천천문연구센타에서 XCOR Aerospace사와 동사의 LYNX MARK-II를 도입하는 양해각서를 체결하고 계획대로 라면 2013년부터 동 우주선을 사용하여 우주여행을 실시하려고 하고 있다. 이와 같이 이제는 우주여행은 우리에게 먼 미래의 이야기가 아니라 현실적인 문제가 되었다. 그러나 우주여행을 위한 법적측면에서의 대비는 거의 마련되어 있지 않은 것도 국내외적 현실이다. 이에 따라 본 논문은 우주여행과 관련하여 발생할 수 있는 제반 법적 문제점을 (1) 항공법과 우주법 중 어느 법의 적용을 받아야 하는가 하는 적용법 문제와, (2)우주여행객의 법적지위 문제를 우주선원으로 볼 수 있는가와 우주비행참가자로 볼 수 있는가를 우주관련 조약과 미국의 개정 상업우주발사법을 통하여 살펴보고 우주여행객에 대한 우주선선장의 권한 문제도 살펴보았다. (3)우주여행사고시의 책임문제는 정부 및 비정부단체의 국제책임문제와 관련하여 살펴보고, (4)허가와 감독문제는 미국의 AST의 사례와 개정 상업우주발사법을 통하여 고찰하였다. 특히 우주선의 안전성 보장 문제가 우주여행의 본격화를 위해서는 필수적인 점에서 현행 법제도상의 한계점과 개선점에 대해서도 살펴보았다. (5)우주여행선의 등록문제도 우주물체 등록협약과 관련하여 살펴보고, (6)마지막으로 우주여행 사업의 리스크 보전차원에서 우주보험 문제를 제3자 손해에 대한 보험과 자기재산에 대한 손해 순으로 보험문제를 살펴보았다. 우주여행이 본격적으로 활성화되기 위해서는 적어도 본 논문에서 언급되고 있는 법적 문제점들에 대한 검토와 이에 대한 법적 제도적 보완 장치가 조속히 국내적으로도 국제적으로도 마련되어야 할 것으로 본다.

Rural tourism is primarily a domestic tourism activity with visitors traveling to non-urban area. Therefore, local agricultural and special products as one of rural amenity resources have been used revisitation carriers of rural tourism. For these purpose, this study selected Cheongsong-gun in Gyeongsang province, which has been famous for Cheongsong apple and planned space program on that sites as on-farm research. The sites are divided into 6 districts, agricultural production, leisure, cultural space, events or festival, green space, infrastructure for local residents and tourists. Above all, this study led local government to develop related policies using local agricultural and special products, which can be an example to plan for regional development.
