Although defense standardization is recently becoming more and more active, there are still many obstacles to achieve attainments as planned. On the other hand, national standardization already has been applied as a mandatory rule in the overall industries and R&D programs and is well supported by systematic and specialized national basis. Furthermore, advanced countries, such as U.S.A., England and NATO, are considering defense standardization as a essential element to achieve low cost and highly efficient acquisition system and to enhance interoperability among the allied forces. This study aims to form public opinion in support of importance of defense standardization and to provide the vision and various implementation tasks for improving defense standardization outcome.

Due to the development of information technology of digital revolution, It is recognized that technical development and standardization are getting important. In this study we executed questionnaires for experts in industry, academy and research institution to survey on the demand for the mobile internet technical development and standardization in the IMT2000 environment. This analysis of the technical development and standardization can be utilized to make strategies of related industry and alternatives of policy for our government. It is expected that this study will contribute to the preoccupy of global market.

In this work, standardization trends related carbon nanotubes and international standardization activities in the ISO/TC229 and IEC/TC113 were introduced. The movement toward development of carbon nanotube standard began in the nanotechnology council under the IEEE in 2005. KATS has also run the carbon nanotube standardization committee to support commercialization of product containing carbon nanotube through standards since 2004. The Korean Standards such as KSD2711, 2712, 2717 were established.

The standardization of the urban transit maintenance system consists of BOM System, maintenance parts code system, and accident/trouble code system standardization. This paper is described only the result of BOM System, maintenance parts code system, and accident/trouble code system standardization. The results of standardization are using urban transit maintenance IT system and apply Expert System, RAMS System, and DATABASE contents of various kinds.

The purpose of this paper is to propose the efficient method of structuring the standardization strategies of the logistics in korea. It is necessary to plan the long-short terms policy which can be covered with the various fields in the logistics. Also, It must be composed of the separation of the role and cooperation among the each division. In addition, public relations and education is need to be the standardization of the logistics. Finally, we make effort to change the national standardization to the international standardization.

Nowadays, the importance of role of the international standardization keeps increasing substantially. We have already known that international standards have a huge impact on many companies, industries and nations. So far, it has been thought that standardizations are needed after the new products come into the market and are mass-produced in order to encourage the use of the products, systems and services. Standardization will make the products more safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly for the users. However, in these days, a paradigm of the standardization has been changed. International standard becomes a tool for dominating global market and is the most important ingredients of the competitiveness and economic progress of the nation and enterprises. Many countries like Japan, Germany and U.S. use the standardization as an effective method to dominate the market and monopolized the new technologies. Therefore, worldwide competition for the standardization of the new technology become fierce. Korea is leading the technology in semiconductor field. However, activities of international standardization are not sufficient. In order to boost the standardization activities in Korea from industry, academia, and research institute, this paper briefly introduce the international standard organization and some critical issues for next-generation semiconductor memory such as flexible semiconductor, automobile semiconductor and wearable devices.

Built-in wardrobe is constructing after ordering and making, because built-in wardrobe's size is fixed as housing measurement. It is hard to speak built-in wardrobe components of construction in these ways, and application of an MC (Modular Coordination) design system is meaningless too. And above all, measurement before construction isn't to expect standardization, and to increase custom-made furniture. So I suggest the standardization of built-in wardrobe utilizing standard last finish and reference plane in order to prevent an evil influence of built-in wardrobe's construction. And we utilized a reference plane, and we present construction document and design plan in order to solve these problems. The first stage, we investigate manufacture of a preferential domestic system kitchen and construction state, and we derive from a problem in viewpoints of standardization for this. And we analyze an effect got by application of the assembly basis aspect that we presented, and we can raise efficiency of standardization of housing and construction industry, and we light ultimately up. I will apply a standardization plan as above, and define that this assures a standardization of components and an economic effect.

This paper focuses on method of setting priorities for telecommunications Standardization in which usually includes prioritization, resource allocation, standardization schedule for each SWA is based on prioritization of SWAs. We mainly used the Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) and a modified Delphi technique as a method for planning process. Recently, rapid technology evolution in telecommunications fields increases the necessity of developing more and more new standards. Also increased complexity of technologies makes standards more complicated, more specified and more thick than the past ones. As a result, the number of SWAa(Standardization Work Areas) and SWIs(Standardization Work Iterms) is being increased continuously. Furthermore, rapid telecommunication environment changes such as deregulation, liberalization, privatization, regionalization, and globalization surrounding telecommunications standardization grows increasingly important. To cope with these challenges and to make the more efficient use of the limited standardization resources, i.e., time, financial, personal resources, we will suggest logical and rational approach that is a backbone of strategic plan for telecommunication standardization. The telecommunication standardization planning process involves a MCDM(Multi-Criteria Decision Making) process. The Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP) is a kind of MCDM approach. Our method is based on a combination of a modified Delphi technique and an application of AHP(spreadsheet model). Analyzed data from Delphi technique is used as inputs to AHP. In addition we also focus on the technique how to combine group judgments and to handle a large number of comparisons.

Purpose: This study identified the standardization activities from the early stage of acquisition to disposal during the materiel life cycle and proposed the improvement of standardization process. Methods: Through improvement of duplicated deliberation for the revision of military specification, unification of technical change proposal reception organization, and resolution between the conflicting parts of laws and regulations, simplifying the standardization procedure and strengthening linkages between the civilian standards were gained. Results: We have redefined the concept of the standards and standardization in the field of defense and proposed the standards-driven documentary standards as a measurement standards and reference standards to expand the activities. Conclusion: Through a standardization survey, we came to conclusion that we need to change the concept of standardization in the field of national defense from making the specification to using the means of efficient management of military resources.
