The Game Engine Architecture for free game experience based on a storyline (스토리라인 기반의 자유로운 게임 플레이를 위한 게임 엔진 설계)

  • A game engine should have the architecture that can manage various interactions between entities in a game for offering users various game experience. For this purpose, the game engine architecture based on message system is used. But only by this message based system, it is difficult to change game world continuously according to some storylines. The reason of this is event-driven system like message based system is appropriate for processing individual message but is not appropriate for processing more bigger logical work unit. For this purpose this paper proposes the storyline entity. The storyline entity has logical flows for a storyline and is called by engine continuously. By this proposed game engine architecture he or she can maintain free game experience by message based system and can add some progressing of storylines.

  • The function of music in a motion picture ranges widely from supporting the storyline to being the main storyline delivering the major plots. This trend and can be seen in recently produced films, advertising as well as in music videos. Many attempts were made to express music visually in the past. But it was through Disney's creative production, "Fantasia", that such attempts became a reality in a motion picture. This paper will look into the difference between the "Fantasia" and "Fantasia 2000" through a comparative analysis of the correlation between the musical element and the storyline of the 2 Disney animation movies. The most distinct difference is that the "Fantasia" has a storyline that is faithful to the original interpretation of the true meaning of the music, while, on the other hand, the "Fantasia 2000" has a storyline that endeavors to express the special features of the overall sound of individual pieces as best as possible. And the differences between the two animations, thus compiled, is hoped to facilitate and enhance a better understanding of the two Disney's finest animations.

  • Smart Learning has been introduced in the educational field recently and it has been used in various ways to improve the quality of education. This research is focused on smart learning contents development for settlement in the educational field. It has carried forward studying in smart learning contents development using storyline, which is a kind of application authoring tool. We analyzed previous studies related to smart learning and presented the characteristics of storyline and the process of content development. Furthermore, we developed the content of digit sorting in Information Life for 6th grade elementary students and applied it to the field to evaluate the educational effectiveness. Through experimental results, the mean difference between traditional activities instruction and instruction using smart learning content was not significant. Nevertheless it has been found the immediate feedback and repeating of activities using smart learning has had positive impacts for understanding, satisfaction and learning interest.

  • This study examined the effects of STEAM program using authoring tool on elementary school students' creative personality and science-related attitude. For this study, after analyzing curriculum from the first term of 6th grade and extracting the learning elements and topic, I developed lesson plans and App contents. As a result of applying STEAM program using Storyline to 6th grade elementary school class. dividing two groups-experimental group, comparison group-for this study, tested t-test, the test result of experimental group got a meaningful result statistically. There was positive effect on improving elementary school students' creative personality and science-related attitude.

  • In Interactive Storytelling, storyline is developed according to the user's interaction. Diffrerent from linear, fixed storytelling, users may select an event or make decisions which affect on the story plotting. Therefore user's feeling of immersion and interest may be greatly enhanced. In this paper, we used markers and multi-touch pad for user's interaction for interactive storytelling. Users could present his/her level of interest and provide feedback through markers and multi-touch pad, through which storyline was differently developed.

  • YouTube is an OTT service that leads the home economy, which has emerged from the 2020 Corona Pandemic. With the growth of OTT-based individual media, creators are required to establish attractive storytelling strategies that can be preferred by viewers and elected for YouTube recommendation algorithms. In this study, we conducted a study on modeling that proposes a content storyline for creators. As the ability for Creators to create content that viewers prefer, we have presented the data literacy ability to find patterns in complex and massive data. We also studied the importance of compelling storytelling configurations that viewers prefer and can be selected for YouTube recommendation algorithms. This study is of great significance in that it deviated from the viewer-oriented recommendation system method and proposed a story suggestion model for individual creaters. As a result of incorporating this story proposal model into the production of the YouTube channel Tiger Love video, it showed a certain effectiveness. This story suggestion model is a machine learning text-based story suggestion system, excluding the application of photography or video.

  • The smart education is performed in the education field, but the contents related to the subject class performed in the various smart devices are insufficient and it is necessary to continue training teacher and learner for the app development education. Therefore this study developed and applied the contents production education program of the game type web app around elementary science 6 grade 1 term utilizing Storyline authoring tools, similar to PowerPoint and be executable in the various devices. After educating students, we investigate the convenience of the use of Storyline, satisfaction level of learning contents work activity, and the continued availability, and etc,. They are interested in the activity of the smart educational contents development and they wished to participate in the continued app development education and activity in spite of it make difficulty for using English menu.

  • "The Legend of Princess Bari" mostly accepted the story and character of the Myth of Baridegi. Each player has their own storyline from the beginning. "The Legend of Princess Bari 2" was released less than a year after the release of "The Legend of Princess Bari 1," but it fell short of creating additional contents from its original version. However, "The Persona4" applied and transformed the Myth of Inajagi & Ijanami according to our present time. The protagonist's each have their own designated "Persona" skills and Ijanami is their ultimate enemy. Interestingly, each player starts with the same storyline but all have different endings. Based on the existing story elements of Persona series, various genres of games were produced through remakes and spinoffs.

A Study on the Effectiveness of Book Trailers as an Element of Reading Motivation for Teenagers (청소년들의 독서동기 요인으로서 북트레일러의 효용성에 관한 연구)

  • It has been shown that in the modern society, teenagers do not read a lot of books. As basic research in order to attract teenagers to reading activities, the effectiveness of booktrailers in affecting reading motivation of teenagers has been studied. As such, 121 middle school and high school students were surveyed with respect to their (1) basic awareness of reading and booktrailers, (2) awareness thereof after watching booktrailers, and (3) reader behaviour reaction applied to AIDMA & AISAS sub-elements. Results show booktrailers to be much more effective in reading motivation than printed media such as book reviews. The preferred booktrailer type is the storyline type. The preferred elements of booktrailers are the storyline, background music, video effects, with their preference in descending order. Also, in terms of the reader behaviour reaction of the teenagers, very positive responses appear across all areas including attention and interest in the book, memories of the book, desire to read the book, search for information, and production of booktrailers. These results indicate that booktrailers can be utilized very effectively in providing reading motivation and in reading expression activities.

The subject of the space is 'Ubiquitous Creative World' which Imagining the past becomes actuality and imagining in future become actuality and future when it will approach at once. The storyline of this space is as belows; 1 Zone - Ubiquitous life Gallery : it will be able to experience the future world ; home, office, street, school and the others. 2 Zone - Interactive Play Gallery : it will be able to explore the interactive media with information technology ; digital cafe, imagining jump, digital art and the others. 3 Zone - New product and Business Gallery : it composed with business, new product, and demonstration gallery such as public information space. The space concept makes connection and concentration which uses unit and line for world which becomes accomplished by the network. Connection of digital and the human being to make the center of new digital life.
