흰쥐 적출심장의 Norepinephrine 유발 양성 변력성작용에 미치는 Strontium의 영향 (Effect of Strontium on Norepinephrine Induced Positive Intoropic Effect of Isolated Perfused Rat Hearts)

  • Strontium은 calcium파 같은 2가 양이온으로서 평활근에서 calcium과 치환되어 평활근을 수축시킬 수 있으며, 골격근에서도 calcium과 치환되어 이를 수축시킬 수 있는 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러나 심근에서는 strontium이 calcium과 치환되어 심근을 수축시킬 수 있다는 보고가 있으나 그 기전에 대해서는 잘 알려져 있지 않다. 이에 저자는 심근에서 strontium이 calcium과 치환되어 사용될 수 있는지를 관찰하고, 그 기전을 알아보기 위해서 다음과 같은 실험을 하였다. 체중 200 g m 내지 230 g m의 흰쥐(Sprague-Dawley)의 심장을 적출하여 Langendorff씨 심관류 장치에 현수한 후 자율 수축운동을 하는 적출심장의 좌심실 내에 balloon을 넣어 수축성, 좌심실압 및 심박동수의 변화를 측정하였다. 먼저 strontium 치환용액의 관류시 나타나는 좌심실압, 수축성 및 심박동수의 변화를 관찰하였다. 그리고 심근을 흥분시키는 norepinephrine과 억제하는 verapamil이 포함된 strontium 치환용액을 관류할 때 나타나는 수축성, 좌심실압 및 심박동수의 변화를 관찰하여 다음과 같은 결과를 얻었다. 1. 저 calcium 관류용액을 관류 하였을 때 심근수축력은 현저히 억제되었으며, strontium을 첨가하여 calcium파 strontium의 농도의 합이 정상 관류용액의 calcium농도 (2.43mM)가 되게 하여 관류 하였을 때 심근 수축력은 정상 calcium농도의 관류용액을 관류했을 때의 심근 수축력에 비해 억제되지 않았다. 2. 관류용액 내의 calcium을 strontium으로 완전치환시 심정지가 유발되었으며, 이때 관류용액내에 calcium이나 strontium을 첨가 했을 때도 심근수축력은 회복되지 않았다. 3. Norepinephrine 유발 양성변력성 작용은 정상관류용액, 저calcium 관류용액 및 strontium 치환용액 모두에서 농도에 비례한 증가 양상을 보였다. Strontium 치환용액에서는 정상 관류용액에서와 차이가 없었으나, 저calcium용액에서는 고농도의 norepinephrine의 수축력 증가작용은 정상 용액에서와 차이가 없었고 저농도의 norepinephrine의 수축력 증가작용은 정상용액에서 보다 유의하게 낮았다. 4. verapamil은 calcium 용액 뿐만 아니라 strontium 치환용액에서도 심근 수축력을 현저히 감소시켰다. 이상의 실험 결과로 미루어 볼 때 strontium은 calcium과 대치되어 심근을 수축시킬 수 있으며 calcium과 같은 자격으로 norepinephrine 유발 양성 변력성작용에 참여하고 verapamil에 의해서는 calcium과 같은 양상으로 그 이동이 억제된다고 사료된다.

석탄회로 합성한 제올라이트에 의한 Sr(II) 및 Cs(I) 이온의 제거 특성 (Removal Characteristics of Strontium and Cesium tons by Zeolite Synthesized from Fly Ash)

  • The adsorption behaviors of strontium and cesium ions on fly ash, natural zeolites, and zeolites synthesized from fly ash were investigated. The zeolites synthesized from fly ash had greater adsorption capabilities for strontium and cesium ions than the original fly ash and natural zeolites. The maximum adsorption capacity of synthetic zeolite for strontium and cesium ions was 100 and 154 mg/g, respectively, It was found that the Freundlich isotherm model could fit the adsorption isotherm. The distribution coefficients (K$\_$d/) for strontium and cesium ions were also calculated from the adsorption isotherm data, The distribution coefficients decreased with increasing equilibrium concentration of strontium and cesium ions in solution. By studying the removal of cesium and strontium ions in the presence of calcium, magnesium, sodium, potassium, sulfate, nitrate, nitrite, and EDTA (in the range of 0.01 - 5 mM) it was found that these coexistence ions competed for the same adsorption sites with strontium and cesium ions.

제일원리를 이용한 스트론튬 페라이트의 자기적 특성 연구 (Ab Initio Study for the Magnetic Properties of Strontium Ferrite SrFe12O19)

  • In this study, magnetic properties of the strontium ferrite were theoretically investigated by Ab initio (first principle) method. The influences of various additives on the magnetic properties of the strontium ferrite were analyzed to designed new composition of the strontium ferrite system with high magnetic characteristics. As shown in the results, the total magnetization of the strontium ferrite was $42.55M_B$. Based on the DOS results, the magnetic characteristics of the strontium ferrite were mainly influenced by Fe atoms at 6 positions in the unit cell. Also the La-Mn strontium ferrite has the superior magnetic property than the Mn strontium ferrite.

숙주 배축생장과정 중 스트론티움에 의한 오옥신산화 및 폴리아민 생합성 촉진 (Strontium Stimulates IAA Oxidation and Polyamine Synthesis in Germinating Mung Bean Hypocotyls (Vigna radiata L.))

  • 본 연구는 숙주의 발아 과정 중 오옥신 과련 대사작용에서의 strontium의 역할을 구명코자 실시하였다. 오옥신 첨가 용액에 strontium을 첨가하여 발아시킨 결과 침지 한 후 IAA 산화가 일어남이 밝혀졌다. 3-5배의 IAA 산화효소 활성화가 측정되었다. 이러한 결과는 strontium에 의한 생장억제의 직접적인 증거였다. 더 나아가 1-10 mM의 strontium 첨가 용액에서 생장한 배축에서의 spermine과 spermine 함량이 2-3배 높은 것으로 밝혀졌다. 이러한 증가는 생체중에 근거한 결과였다. 결론적으로 strontium에 의한 배축생장 억제는 오옥신 산화 및 polyamine 생합성과 관계가 있는 것으로 밝혀졌다.

급성 피부장벽파괴 동물모델에 대한 스트론튬의 피부보습효과 (Skin Humidity Effects of Strontium on Acute Skin Barrier Damage in Hairless Mice)

  • Objectives : Since ancient times, Koreans have applied medicinal spabaths for treatment of various diseases. The objective of this study was to investigate the effect of strontium, one of the common ingredients of such baths, experimentally on acute skin barrier damage. Materials and Methods : Male hairless mice, average weight 20g, were divided into six groups. Each group consisted of five mice. The first was the normal, non-treated group. The second was the control group with acute skin barrier damage intentionally induced by TS. The third was the Ba-Sr1 group bathed in 1mg/L strontium chloride before and after inducing acute skin barrier damage by TS. The fourth was the Ba-Sr7 group bathed in 7mg/L strontium chloride before and after inducing acute skin barrier damage by TS. The fifth was the Sr1 group bathed in 1mg/L of strontium chloride only after intentionally inducing acute skin barrier damage by TS. The sixth was the Sr7 group bathed in 7mg/L of strontium chloride only after intentionally inducing acute skin barrier damage by TS. External changes of skin, skin erythema level, transepidermal water loss level, and GOT and GPT level of each group were checked immediately before and after TS, 3 hrs, 5 hrs and 24 hrs after inducing acute skin barrier damage. Then, tissue samples were made and examined for damage to epithelial cells, stratum corneum, change of mucous polysaccharide in dermis and amount of mast cells. Statistical analysis was performed by one way-ANOVA, Scheffe and Duncan for a post hoc test and pairwise comparison for comparing for difference between each time. Statistical significance was achieved if the probability was less than 5% (p<0.05) Results : 1. From skin erythema and TEWL level indicating the function of the skin barrier, we can know that it is helpful to the skin barrier to bathe in a water solution including a low concentration of strontium. 2. In the control group with acute skin barrier damage induced by TS, skin barrier damage persisted until 3-5 hrs and recovered after 5-24 hrs. Differently from the control group, in the case of taking a bath in a water solution including strontium, skin barrier damage recovered after only 3-5 hrs. Therefore, the bath with a water solution including strontium can promote recovery of the skin barrier. 3. Bathing in water solution including a higher concentration of strontium was more beneficial to recovery of skin barrier damage. 4. There was no influence on serum GOT and GPT from bathing in a water solution including strontium. Conclusions : The strontium was effective for recovery and mitigation of acute skin barrier damage induced by tape stripping. I suggest that strontium (Sr) can be used as an external treatment medicine, addedinto bath water to treat acute skin barrier damage.

나트륨-버네사이트를 이용한 수용액상의 세슘 및 스트론튬 제거에 관한 연구 (A study on removal of cesium and strontium from aqueous solution using synthetic Na-birnessite)

  • The main purpose of this research was to examine the adsorption/ion exchange characteristics of radioactive species such as cesium and strontium onto synthetic Na-birnessite (sodium-birnessite). As part of efforts to investigate the sorption behavior of cesium and strontium onto synthetic Na-birnessite, batch isotherm tests were performed under different experimental conditions. Na-birnessite was synthesized by the oxidation of $Mn^{2+}$ ions in sodium hydroxide solution. The synthetic Na-birnessite was characterized by powder x-ray diffraction (XRD), scanning electron microscopy (SEM), energy-dispersive x-ray spectroscopy (EDS), and Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) surface area analysis. Cesium and strontium concentrations were determined by atomic absorption spectroscopy (AAS). The removal efficiency of strontium by Na-birnessite was around 95 % which was much higher than that of cesium (~ 32 %). The results imply that strontium has a higher affinity for Na-birnessite than cesium because strontium, divalent cation leads to larger electrostatic attraction than monovalent cesium.

저전력 휴대용 통신단말을 위한 Solution Process를 이용한 고 유전율 Strontium Oxide 배향막의 특성 연구 (Study of Properties of High-K Strontium Oxide Alignment Layer Using Solution Process for Low Power Mobile Information Device)

  • 본 연구에서는 Solution Process를 적용한 Strontium Oxide를 배향막으로 사용한 경우의 액정배향 특성에 대해서 연구하였다. Stronium Oxide 는 High K 물질로 배향막으로 사용할 경우 임계치 전압을 효율적으로 조절할 수 있는 장점이 있으나, 액정분자와의 배향에 관한 상호관계에 대해서는 많은 연구가 진행되지 않았었다. 0.1~0.4 Mol 롤 농도를 조절한 Strontium Oxide를 Solution Process 로 배향막으로서 제조함으로써, 보다 생산성이 좋은 방법을 제시할 수 있었으며, 재료가 갖는 우수한 특성을 반영한 액정디스플레이의 제조가 가능하였다. 샘플 측정결과 1.447~1.613V 의 임계치 전압특성을 보여주어 기존의 방법으로 제조된 액정디스플레 이와 동등 혹은 우월한 특성을 갖고 있음을 알 수 있었다.

Strontium Alginate를 담체로 한 Photobacterium phosphoreum 고정화 조건의 최적화 (Optimization of the Condition of Immobilized Photobacterium phosphoreum with Strontium Alginate)

  • Since the condition of immobilization must be optimized, it is very important to know whether and on how conditions bacterial cells retain their metabolic activity during immobilization process. A bioluminescence intensity had the maximum value when cell concentrations were between 1.0 and 1.2 measured at O.D660. The strontium alginate was used as an immobilization matrix and two independent factors for immobilization of Photobacterium phosphoreum with strontium alginate were optimized with the response surface methodology(RSM) considering degree of bioluminescence. As a result, the optimum concentration for immobilization was found to be 2.4%(w/w) for sodium alginate and 0.31M for strontium chloride, respectively. A dilution was carried out with 2.5%(w/v) NaCl solution that is an optimum environmental condition for growth of P. phosphoreum. Under the such condition of immobilization, hardness could be predicted as 4.66$\times$104N/$m^2$ and it took different time according to the volume of matrix to be immobilized completely.

Adsorption characteristics of strontium onto K2Ti4O9 and PP-g-AA nonwoven fabric

  • This study investigated the possibility of using potassium titanate oxide ($K_2Ti_4O_9$) and acrylic acid-grafted polypropylene fabric (PP-g-AA) as adsorbents capable of removing strontium from aqueous solutions. $K_2Ti_4O_9$ showed the highest rate of strontium removal in the weak alkaline range, while the PP-g-AA increased strontium removal in the neutral range. Moreover, the adsorption capacity of the $K_2Ti_4O_9$ was not affected by the coexistence of K and Na ions, while the adsorption capacity decreased when Ca and Mg ions were present at the same concentration as that of strontium. When coexisted at the same concentration as strontium, Na, K, Ca, and Mg ions strongly reduced the adsorption capacity of the PP-g-AA. The results also indicated that the adsorption of strontium on $K_2Ti_4O_9$ was consistent with both the Langmuir and Freundlich adsorption isotherms. In contrast, the adsorption of strontium on the PP-g-AA was more consistent with the Langmuir isotherm model. Moreover, the adsorption equilibrium time of $K_2Ti_4O_9$ was generally 12 h, while that of the PP-g-AA was 5 h, indicating that the adsorption rates were consistent with the pseudo-second order kinetics model. $K_2Ti_4O_9$ and the PP-g-AA could be regenerated by simple washing with 0.5 N HCl.

자연토양 및 카올린에 대한 코발트, 스트론튬, 세슘의 흡착 특성 (Adsorption Characteristics of Cobalt, Strontium, and Cesium on Natural Soil and Kaolin)

  • In this study, as a fundamental study for the remediation of the radionuclides-contaminated soil, the adsorption of cobalt, strontium, and cesium on natural soil and kaolin were experimently investigated and adsorption characteristics were evaluated by using several adsorption kinetic and isotherm models. The pseudo-first-order kinetic model (PFOM), pseudo-second-order kinetic model (PSOM), one-site mass transfer model (OSMTM), and two compartment first-order kinetic model (TCFOKM) were used to evaluate the kinetic data and the pseudo-second-order kinetic model was the best with good correlation. The adsorption equilibria of cobalt, strontium, and cesium on natural soil were fitted successfully by Redlich-Peterson and Sips models. For kaolin, the adsorption equilibria of cobalt, strontium, and cesium were fitted well by Redlich-Peterson, Freundlich, and Sips models, respectively. The amount of adsorbed radionuclides on natural soil and kaolin was in the order of cesium > strontium > cobalt. It is considered that these results could be useful to predicting the adsorption behaviors of radionuclides such as cobalt, strontium, and cesium in soil environments.
