This article examines the accessibility and usability of library websites to students with visual and physical disabilities in public universities in Kenya. The study used survey research design and adopted a mixed methods approach. Data were gathered using survey questionnaire, focus group discussions, structured interviews, and observation. The study population consisted of six public universities that had a longstanding tradition of enrolling students with disabilities. Census was used to obtain a study sample comprising of students with visual disabilities (86), students with physical disabilities (91), University Librarians (6), Personnel from Disability Mainstreaming departments (6), Systems Librarians (6) and Library Personnel who provided information services to students with disabilities (133). The Social Model of Disability and IFLA Access to Libraries for Persons with Disabilities checklist were used as conceptual and theoretical framework in the study. Study results revealed that all the libraries had library websites. However, the websites did not have disability services page or information specific to individuals with disabilities. Also a section of students with disabilities lacked awareness of the existence of library websites and e-resources available through them. Additionally, the website design posed various access challenges. The study concluded that people with disabilities were excluded from access and use of library websites in public universities. The authors recommended that library websites must contain disability services page containing information specific to persons with disabilities. Moreover, libraries should evaluate their websites to ensure compliance with W3C requirements for web content accessibility. Additionally, libraries should develop disability policy to provide guidance on provision of information services to persons with disabilities.

This study examines teachers' implementation of strategies to modify the aggressive behavior of students with intellectual disabilities in Saudi Arabia, to determine the obstacles to their real-world execution. In addition, it presents potential approaches to overcome the obstacles to implementing strategies with this group of students. The research employed a qualitative design using semi-structured interviews as a data collection tool and applied a thematic analysis. The study population comprised 35 teachers of students with intellectual disabilities and the study sample numbered six teachers. The interviews were conducted via different methods: three by phone, two face-to face, and one using the Zoom platform. The results revealed inadequate understanding among teachers of intellectual disability and behaviour modification strategies, and this affected their capacity to develop plans that were compatible with the needs of students with intellectual disability. The findings also identified multiple obstacles that impede teachers' implementation of strategies to modify aggressive behaviour among students with intellectual disabilities; the most important being the lack of input from a psychological specialist when developing programs to modify aggressive behaviour. In general, it is apparent that programs for modifying aggressive behaviour are neither structured nor complementary, due to the scarcity of administrators with sufficient knowledge and familiarity with the characteristics and personalities of students with intellectual disabilities. This study presents several recommendations, the most important of which is that teachers of students with intellectual disability should develop themselves through training courses to enable them to deal with these students and create treatment plans that include strategies and clear steps to modify the aggressive behaviour of students with intellectual disabilities. To support teachers, it is also necessary to remove the obstacles facing education centres by providing financial support to create an environment in which they can access the required devices and equipment in their classes.

An opportunity for dental students to come into contact with individuals with disabilities is insufficient. Therefore, prejudice and negative attitudes towards persons with disabilities persist. Working under the assumption that educating dental students regarding people with disabilities will bring about positive awareness, we conducted this study. We investigated the changes in the recognition of the issues and needs of people with disabilities before and after special care dentistry class of students of dental college that will include an experience in a dental clinic with a disabled person. Seventy-two Kyung Hee University School of Dentistry third-year dental students attended the special care dentistry class in one semester and they took the same survey was before and after the class. In the questionnaire, we used the disability factor scale (DFS) that Siller has proposed. The authoritarian virtuousness factor getting lower to a significant level after receiving an education. This means that after the education, the respondents realize that how hard to adapt the disabilities. After receiving an education, the rejection of intimacy factor score significantly get higher than before they took the class. This means that after the training, positive attitudes towards those with disabilities were better than those towards the opposite sex. We were able to confirm a positive change in the recognition for persons with disabilities through the special care dentistry class. Our study shows that educating dental students on the how to take care of individuals with disabilities can bring about a positive change in the attitudes students may have regarding them.

The primary goal of any classroom is effective teaching and student learning, with an emphasis on changing negative students' behaviors into positive ones. This change can occur when students' behavior is always at the forefront of teachers' educational goals. The current study aimed to reveal the experiences of special education teachers in dealing with the behavioral problems that students with disabilities show by identifying behavioral problems among students with disabilities and investigating the efficacy of the application of behavior modification plans and strategies designed to address the behavioral problems presented by students with disabilities. The researcher used a qualitative phenomenological approach, and the study tool consisted of semi-structured interviews that consisted of (13) questions directed to (10) special education male and female teachers who work in special education centres and institutes. The data were analyzed using the thematic analysis method. The findings of the study showed that the most undesirable behaviors prevalent among students with disabilities in the classroom were aggression, bullying and ADHD. The actions taken by teachers in confronting these behaviors were not systematic and were carried out randomly, as no behavior modification plans were applied. The most important strategies used by teachers in facing behavioral problems were applied behavioral analysis (ABA) strategies such as reinforcement, punishment and ignoring. The results have many important implications for future practice, including the need to conduct practical training courses for special education teachers to implement behavior modification plans and develop methods of measuring inappropriate behavior.
Purpose: This study was done to investigate the effect of self-esteem on perceived stigma in high school students toward people with disabilities. Methods: The participants in this study were 140 high school students from Gyeonggi Province. Data were collected during May 2013. Structured questionnaires were used for data collection. Data were analyzed using descriptive by statistics, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficients, and simple regression analysis with the SPSS 19.0 program. Results: The major findings of this study are as follows: There was a significant relationship between stigma toward people with disabilities and self-esteem among the high school students (r=-.205, p=.015). There was also a significant relationship between relationships with friends (r=.291, p<.001), health statement (r=.400, p<.001) and self-esteem among the high school students. Self-esteem explained 3.5% of the variance in high school students' stigma toward people with disabilities (F=6.041, p=.015). Conclusion: Findings of this study suggest a need to develop education to increase self-esteem as a strategy to decrease high school students' stigma toward people with disabilities. Also, findings of this study suggest the need for repeated study on the relationship between self-esteem and stigma toward people with disabilities among adults.

The participants of this study were 55 college students with developmental disabilities in N University, with 25 students placed in the experimental group and the other 30 in the control group. As a result of examination, the difference between before and after the program, it was found that factors of career attitude were improved significantly after the program in the experimental group, with Factor 1 (determination) increased from 2.08 to 3.39, Factor 2 (finality) from 2.28 to 3.19, Factor 3 (confidence) from 2.20 to 3.69, Factor 4 (preparation) from 2.12 to 3.79, and Factor 5 (independence) from 1.88 to 3.63. But the control group did not show a significant improvement after 15 weeks of the program except Factor 3 (confidence) and Factor 5 (independence). It was found that the healing garden program based on internal factors of vocational adaptation had effects on career attitude for college students with developmental disabilities. Finally, the program will contribute to vocational rehabilitation for college students with disabilities. The findings further suggest that healing gardening programs that facilitate career attitudes must be continuously developed and applied in order to establish effective transition from school to the world of vocational adaptation.
