The purpose of this study was to explore ways to help improve adolescents' happiness by exploring the influences of emphatic ability and family strengths on happiness. This subjects were 514 middle school students living in Gwangju. Data were collected from self-report questionnaires and analyzed with SPSS 22.0 program. The major findings were as follows; First, the adolescents' emphatic ability('viewpoint', 'identity', 'emphatic interest'), family strengths('family respect and affection', 'role sharing and problem solving', 'communication and bonds', 'financial stability') and happiness scores were higher than the median(3.00). Emphatic ability('viewpoint', 'identity', 'emphatic interest', 'personal suffering') and family strengths('communication and bonds') showed significant difference according to gender. Second, the adolescents' happiness was influenced by 'family respect and affection', 'role sharing and problem solving', 'financial stability', 'personal suffering', 'identity', and 'emphatic interest'. Adolescents' happiness was explained about 39% by these variables. In other words, the higher family respect and affection, both higher role sharing and problem solving and higher financial stability, with lower personal suffering and higher identity and higher emphatic interest showed the higher happiness. These findings demonstrate the emphatic ability and family strengths in adolescents influence on the level of happiness. As such, in order to improve the happiness of adolescents, it is necessary to energize those programs focus on the forming healthy family relationships and to design finance assistance programs that could attempt to minimise financial gap. Additionally, it is necessary to develop programs aimed to enhance emphatic ability and continue such programs in homes as well as at schools. Finally, it is necessary to implement curriculum that may improve family strengths and emphatic ability, which have influenced on the happiness in adolescents. Since the subject "Technology & Home Economics" helps to enhance family strengths, emphatic ability and eventually amplifies the happiness, it is necessary to expand and reinforce it as well as to make it a mandatory subject.
High school is regarded as the period when many important physical, mental and social developments occur, and when many health-related behaviors are formed. School health education is one of the major learning resources influencing health potential in the home and community as well as for the individual student. High school health education in Korea has a fundamental systemic flaw however, in that health -related subjects are divided and taught under various subjects at school. In order to achieve quality health education, it is essential to assess the learners' and teachers' educational needs. So far, most of the research projects that had been carried out for improving high school health education were limited to only the learners' educational need. They failed to in elude an educational assessment of the teachers. Therefore, in this study the high school health education teachers' needs relating to health education were investigated through a focus on the teachers' health education activity level, health education activity self-efficacy level, and perceived level of importance in health education content. In this study, research instruments these factors were constructed by Yoo(1997) on the basis of the PRECEDE model. The data for this study were collected from a sample consisting of twenty general and vocational high schools in Seoul and Chongju for a two month period beginning in July, 1996. In analyzing the data, an ANOVA test and stepwise multiple regression were accomplished using an SPSS - PC+ program. The results were as follows: The average level of health education activity and self-efficacy among high school health edu cation teachers were found to be low. But, teachers' perceived importance of health education contents was high. Teachers' activity and perceived importance concerning sex education were lower than in other health education areas. Health education activity of Military drill teachers was higher than that of physical education teachers as well as school nurses. But it was not significant. Health education activity self-efficacy of school nurses was higher than that of other teachers(p<.05). Perceived level of importance of health education contents was the most influential variable in teachers' health education activity. Health education activity self-efficacy level was not an influential variable in teachers' health education activity. The significance of this study is that it has diagnosed the needs of high school health education through the teachers' assessment of a variety of health factors related. These findings suggest that the management of an integrated health education, program requiring large changes in the curriculum of health education is necessary.

The purpose of this study was to find out the general problems of school food service and to explore a way to improve it, by examining elementary school teacher's consciousness and attitude toward it that gave a big impact on children's development of food habit. For attaining the purpose, the following research questions were posed : 1) What's elementary school teacher attitude toward school food service management? 2) What's elementary school teacher attitude toward school food service effect on children? 3) What's elementary school teacher opinion about how to develop school food service? The subjects of study were 328 male or female teachers who served at elementary school in urban and rural area, including eup, myon, or farming and fishing villages, Kyonggi province. A questionnaire survey was conducted over them. The conclusions were as follows: 1) Teacher Attitude Toward School Food Service Management Concerning food service place, the subjects were more satisfied at food service room(73.3%) than at classroom(23.0%). They responded that food service room was more effective, than classroom, for food transportation, distribution and post-arrangement. Their satisfaction at food service place was significantly different. The older teachers considered personnel management and cooking room's sanitary management to be more efficient, and their age made a significant difference to their consciousness of these things. Many teachers(63.1%) thought the measures to prevent and manage group food poisoning were relatively efficient. The male teachers expressed more affirmative view on the efficiency of school food expense management and menu preparation than female teachers, and there was a significant disparity between male and female teachers. 2) Elementary School Food Service Effect School food service was thought to be very effective for physical growth(74.1%) and physical strength improvement(70.1%). Teachers at smaller school revealed more affirmative response toward school food service effect on correcting an unbalanced diet, and older teachers considered its effect on nutrition knowledge acquisition and learning outcome to be more great. Teachers at larger school put less value on its effect on table manners, and school size produced a significant difference. The number of teachers who thought school food service generally raised parent concern and support for school(36.6%) was a little more than that of teachers who didn't think so(15.2%). And the number of teachers who didn't consider its effect on improving parent food life to be good(29.3%) was slightly more than that of teachers who did. 3) School Food Service Reform Measure What's most urgently needed for better school food service management appeared to be an expansion of facilities concerned, followed by more effective food distribution and transport, cooking room's better sanitary management, more successful food poisoning prevention and management, more effective food expense management, and an increase of food service personnel in the order named. The most effective means of school food service education was found to be a creation of link system to family, followed by a development of school food service education program, a development of teaching materials, an insertion of school food service in curriculum, and teacher education in the order named.

This paper is about a development of effective practice subject in electronic circuit textbook of industrial high school. This paper introduces generally about the practice subject in electronic circuit textbook of industrial high school of the 7th National curriculum and presents problem of current practice and makes an alternative idea that improve current practice. The contents of current electronic circuit textbook of industrial high school have variety topics and these topics are independence and separated. So students have some problems to apply of learned knowledge. Therefore, researcher improved the various electronic circuit practice in current electronic circuit text book and added new practice and manufactured a electronic circuit module based on these circuits. And researcher suggested new practice subject what useful electronic equipment that assembled module of result of electronic circuit practice of each section. When the last subjects are accomplished the students may have feel of achievement and high study effect from these practice. The practice subjects of this paper were manufactured after verification and tested it's performance by computer simulation program.

The purpose of this study was to find out the way to activate the Education of Korean Traditional foods and culture from middle school subject, Technology and Home Economics Education. We investigated the middle school students' perception and needs for the Education of Korean Traditional foods and culture in their educational curriculum. This study was carried out by using a self-administered questionnaire and 600 middle school students in Gyeonggi province were participated. Most of subjects took the Education of Korean Traditional foods and culture as a part of Technology and Home Economics Education. They recognized that this lecture is necessary and effective, since it is of great help to their life. However, lecture was descriptively given by teacher and not actively participated by students. Therefore, students requested for more practical methods of teaching and learning. They also desired that the education should comprise what will be helpful in a real life. These results suggested that current teaching and learning methods should be corrected and complemented in such a way as to reflect relevant contents and learners' demands which are useful in a real life, so that the Education of Korean Traditional foods and culture may be conducted through middle school subjects of Technology and Home Economics Education in an effective way at school.

The purpose of this study is to acquire teaching insights for improving scientific literacy by analyzing the effects of scientific communication skills, science process skills, and logical thinking skills of elementary school students on academic achievement level. The participants are 64, sixth grade elementary school students. Survey materials include the results of Scientific Communication Skill Test (SCST), Test of Science Process Skills (TSPS), Group Assessment of Logical Thinking (GALT), multiple choice test & short answer test, descriptive answer test on science, and academic achievement level test on all subjects. Based on these data, the study analyzed the relationships of science process skills, logical thinking skills, and scientific communication skills, and each category's effect on academic achievement level. Furthermore, under the assumption that scientific communication skills are affected by science process skills and logical thinking skills and directly influence the academic level, the research discovered three types of correlations as a structural model. The results show that there are considerable correlations in scientific communication skills, science process skills, and logical thinking skills. Also, these three abilities have meaningful correlations with learner's writing and descriptive question level on science curriculum and overall academic achievement level; the level of correlation differ a bit by subcategory factors. In conclusion, setting the model, science process skills and logical thinking skills influence scientific communication skill, and the skill directly influences the learner's academic level. Further analysis of the results show that scientific communication skill influences the academic achievement level of all subjects the most.

The purpose of this study is to present the direction of elementary school AI education by analyzing cases of classes related to AI education in actual school settings. For this purpose, 19 classes were collected as elementary school class cases based on AI education. According to the result of analyzing the class case, it was confirmed that the class was designed in a hybrid aspect of learning content and method using AI. As a result of analyzing the achievement standards and learning goals, action verbs related to memory, understanding, and application were found in 8 classes using AI from a tool perspective. When class was divided into introduction, development, and rearrangement stages, the AI education element appeared the most in the development stage. On the other hand, when looking at the ratio of learning content and learning method of AI education elements in the development stage, the learning time for approaching AI education as a learning method was overwhelmingly high. Based on this, the following implications were derived. First, when designing the curriculum for schools and grades, it should be designed to comprehensively deal with AI as a learning content and method. Second, to supplement the understanding of AI, in the short term, it is necessary to secure the number of hours in practical subjects or creative experience activities, and in the long term, it is necessary to secure information subjects.
Background: This study evaluated the learning outcomes of dental hygiene students' ethical consciousness and ethical decision-making competence through dental ethics courses conducted in some universities. Methods: The subjects were 35 and 29 fourth-year dental hygiene students at G University in the first semester of 2021 and 2022, respectively, and 53 and 43 third-year dental hygiene students at D University, respectively, for a total of 160 students. After implementing the dental hygiene ethics course, classroom performance was evaluated in terms of moral sensitivity, confidence in making ethical decisions, classroom practicality, learning outcomes, and class satisfaction. Statistical analysis was conducted using independent t-test and paired t-test, and the statistical significance level was 0.05. Results: Both universities reported an increase in moral sensitivity and confidence in ethical decision-making after the course (p<0.001). Classroom practicality and class satisfaction for the dental hygiene ethics course did not differ between disciplines and were rated positively with a score of 4 or higher (p>0.05). Learning outcomes were higher among 4-year students than 3-year students (p<0.001). Conclusions: It was evaluated that the ethics in dental hygiene curriculum can strengthen students' competence in ethical decision-making, including moral sensitivity and confidence in solving ethical problems in dental hygiene.
The purpose of this study is to find out the measures to improve the curriculums of the specialized vocational high schools aided by Small and Medium Business Administration through estimating whether they have satisfied the purpose of the aids and analyzing the related factors. Among specialized vocational high schools aided by Small and Medium Business Administration, 49 technical high schools which comprised the largest proportion were chosen as subjects for this study. Among the 49 subjects, 57.1%(28 schools) are reported to be suitable, 36.7%(18 schools) so-so, and 6.2%(3 schools) unsuitable for the curriculums. The curriculums of specialized vocational high schools aided by Small and Medium Business Administration were mostly associated with the local strategic business. However, many of them implemented the pre-existed curriculums because they didn't reflect the job analysis of the business properly. To establish more effective curriculums of the specialized vocational high schools aided by Small and Medium Business Administration, most of all, guides for them should be prepared in its level. Also, midium and long-term development plans of school departments should be made to reorganize the current departments which hinder the specialization in curriculums by government or offices of education. Finally, a conference of government departments on the curriculum establishment should be organized.
