제어전극을 갖는 방전소자의 방전개시전압 설계에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Design of Discharge Voltage of Discharge Element with Control Electrode)

  • The power system and control system constantly reveals surge voltage such as switching surge of lighting devices and power conversion devices, operating and stops surge of rotating devices, charge & discharge surge, opening & closing surge of circuit breakers and the like. Such a surge voltages can cause damage or malfunction of the element such as CPU, Memory, semiconductor etc. In the industry, in order to protect the system from the surge voltage, a surge protector with low discharge starting voltage, fast response time, and low capacitance is required, and technical development research for that is ongoing. In this paper, in order to solve the problem of the existing GDT discharge tube not discharging from the transient voltage which is higher than the commercial voltage and lower than the discharge voltage of the discharge element, we have developed a discharge element having the control electrode & control circuit. The discharge element having the control electrode and the control circuit can control the discharge voltage according to the needs of the consumer and can satisfy the requirement of the discharge element and the technology of the surge protector downsizing technology and the surge protection technology. It is judged to be effective for development.

가압펌프장의 수격완화설비에 대한 보수·보강 사례 (Case Study of Repair Works on Surge Suppression Device for Booster Pumping Station)

  • When the pumps are started or stopped for the operation or tripped due to the power failure, the hydraulic transients occur as a result of the sudden change in velocity. The field tests on the waterhammer were carried out for Pangyo booster pumping station in which had six booster pumps and two in-line pumps with the motor of output 1,700 kW, respectively. The booster pumping station was equipped with the pump control valve as the main surge suppression device, and the surge relief valve as auxiliary one. But the pump control valve had not early controlled in the planned closing mode, the slamming occurred to the valve of which abruptly closed during the large reverse flow. Because the positive pressure wave caused by the pump failure was superposed on the slam surge, the upsurge increased so extremely that the pump control valve was damaged. After the air chambers were additionally installed in the booster pumping station, it was preyed that the water supply system acquire the safety and reliability on the pressure surge.

  • The field tests on the waterhammer were carried out for PalDang intake pumping station of the metropolitan water supply 5th stage project. The pumping station was equipped with the pump control valve as the main surge suppression device and the surge relief valve as auxiliary. However, the pump control valve had not been early controlled in the planned closing mode, and the slamming occurred to the valve which abruptly closed during the large reverse flow. Because the pressure wave caused by the pump failure was superposed on the slam surge, the upsurge increased so extremely that the shaft of the valve was damaged. It was desirable that the surge relief valve was installed in the pumping station or near the pump exit for the delay of response. After reforming the oil dashpot of the pump control valve, the sliming disappeared and the measured pressure was in fairly good agreement with the results of simulation. In case of three pumps for ${\phi}2,600$ pipeline being simultaneously tripped, the pressure head in the pumping station increased to 95.6 m, and the upsurge caused by the emergency stop of four pumps for ${\phi}2,800$ pipeline was 89.6m. We concluded that the pumping station acquired the safety and reliability for the pressure surge.

  • The solenoid valve of ABS hydraulic modulator is a two directional on-off valve and is controlled by around 100Hz on-off control. When the on-off valve is switched from open state to closed state, there are braking force deterioration, noise and vibration due to surge pressure in the wheel cylinder. In this study, identifies surge pressure in the braking process of ABS, and investigates the way to reduce the phenomenon. To reduce the surge pressure, PWM(Pulse Width Modulation) control with high frequency of 20kHz was attempted. In conclusion, by using the results of this study for the pressure surge prediction, we could expect enhancement of braking performance in ABS.

  • The solenoid valve in ABS hydraulic modulator is a two directional on-off valve and is controlled by around 100Hz high speed pulse width modulation. When the valve is switched from open state to closed state, noise and vibration due to pressure surge phenomena in the hydraulic line and wheel cylinder are made. In this study, we identify Pressure surge phenomenon in the braking process of a ABS, and investigate the way to reduce the phenomenon. For the purpose of theoretical analysis on the pressure surge in the closed state hydraulic line, characteristic curve method based on wave equation was utilized. To reduce the surge, high frequency control of 20kHz was attempted. The result showed that the surge pressure of 50% was reduced compared to one observed in the low frequency control. Duty variation of high frequency can control current of solenoid valve and prevent sudden change of displacement.

  • The surge control system in unmanned turbojet engine must be capable of accounting uncertainties from engine transient conditions, random fluctuations of key parameters such as air pressure and fuel flow and engine modeling errors. In this paper, taking into consideration of its effectiveness as well as system stability, a fuzzy PI controller is proposed. The role of the fuzzy PI controller is to stabilize the unmanned aircraft upon occurring unexpected engine surge. The proposed control scheme is proved by computer simulation using a linear engine model. The simulation results on the state space model of a small turbojet engine illustrate the proposed control system achieves the desired performance.

  • In general the surge pressure generated in hydraulic systems causes noise, vibration and odd effect to the system. To reduce the surge pressure, high frequency PWM control of 20KHz was attempted. To estimate the braking noise caused by surge, a vehicle equipped with on-board ABS hydraulic modulator has been experimented with respect to the various breaking condition. Thorough this experiments, it was found that breaking noise has been reduced using high frequency PWM control method compare with low frequency method. To evaluate high frequency control m practice, including verification of general functionality, EMI tests was experimented. Its was found that it is necessary to have the solution to electromagnetic interference(EMI) generated by switching elements.

  • This paper deals with the surge measurement system for low voltage power line of industrial plants. It consists of a capacitive divider, A/D conversion part, signal processing and control part. A FPGA and a DSP board were designed to fast signal processing and control. Also, in order to measure lightning surge and switching surge for a long time, data backup device was applied by using SD memory. A performance of the measurement system was verified through evaluation test using impulse calibration generator.

  • 일반적으로 산업현장에서 널리 사용되는 유도전동기는 상용인버터를 이용하여 속도제어를 하게 된다. 상용인버터로 구동되는 유도전동기는 인버터의 고속 스위칭에 의한 마이크로 서지전압을 발생한다. 이러한 마이크로 서지는 전동기의 소손뿐 만아니라 PLC 제어계통에 있어서 노이즈 문제를 발생하며, 생산 활동에 막대한 지장을 초래하게 된다. 본 논문에서는 마이크로 서지의 발생 메커니즘을 살펴본 후 전동기 소손 방지를 위한 대책을 제시하고 인버터 출력단에 LCR 필터를 부착하여 실험하였으며 결과로 마이크로 서지전압이 저감됨을 확인하였다 또한 PLC 제어계통의 노이즈 억제에 대해 이론적 고찰을 통해 대책도 제시하였다.

체외수정을 위한 과배란유도 주기에서 내인성 LH Surge의 발생에 관한 연구 (Clinical Evaluation of Endogenous LH Surge in Superovulation Cycle for I.V.F.)

  • 71 cycles of 67 women were treated for superovulation induction in our IVF & ET program from May to September in 1988. Endogenous LH surges were occurred in 21 cycles out of 71 cycles. And then, we selected 50 cycles without endogenous LH surge treated in the same period as control group. We compared egg recovery rate, egg maturity, fertilization rate, cleavage rate and pregnancy rate of study group with those of control group. We were able to detect more than 90% of endogenous LH surge by commencing daily LH monitoring on MCD 9. The egg recovery rate, egg maturity, fertilization rate, and pregnancy rate of the study group were not statistically different from those of the control group. Significantly lower cleavage rate was seen in the study group compared with that of control group. Above results suggested that the cycles with endogenous LH surge do not have to be abandoned and can be treated continuously to achieve successful pregnancy.
