An Interface Sharing Service based on Jini (Jini 기반의 인터페이스 공유 서비스)

  • When we develop and use the java-based distributed object system, the system developer must deploy distributed object, which is implemented to predefined interface, to network and the system user acquires reference about distributed object and changes reference to interface type. Sharing of interface is essential for these works In this paper, we propose the IRSJ(interface repository service based on jim) to improve efficiency of interface sharing at the JINI system development. the IRSJ is consisted of the java classes for JINI system and interface sharing service. If development teams perform collaborative work in short distance, the IRSJ can search interface file without information of lookup server or interface writer If development teams perform collaborative work in long distance, the IRJS can search interface with only an address of server that executes lookup service. Although the interface object not requires additional search, the interface object that failed search interface can download interface and use interface using remote event model. When the message service fails in interface search, the message service sends interface request message to a development team member who use the IRSJ automatically, so that interface sharing may be possible in short time.

Study on cognitive load of OM interface and eye movement experiment for nuclear power system

  • The operation and monitoring (OM) interface is the digital medium between nuclear power system and operators. The cognitive load of OM interface has an important effect on the operation errors made by operator during OM task between operator and computer. The cognitive load model of OM interface is constructed for analysing the composition and influencing factors of OM interface cognitive load. And to study the coping strategies and methods for cognitive load of nuclear power system. An experiment method based on eye movement is proposed to measure the cognitive load of OM interface. Experiment case is carried out with 20 subjects and typical OM interface of a nuclear power system simulator. The OM interface is optimized based on the experiment results. And the results comparison between the original OM interface and the optimized OM interface shows that the cognitive load model and proposed method is valuable contributions in reducing the cognitive load and improving the interaction efficiency of OM tasks.

  • This paper proposes the system that automatically cognizes the external interface cards on control board. This system is proposed by this paper endows with ID to external interface card and cognizes a connection of external interface card. Also this system automatically executes a task for external interface card. This system has an extension of function according to cognize an external interface card and is fast the execution.

  • Macro interfaces between two different bulk materials which affect the stability of insulation system exist inevitably in the complex insulation system using in extra high voltage (EHV) electric devices. In this paper, Interface between epoxy and ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM) was selected as an interface in electrical insulation system and the AC dielectric strength of the interface was investigated. Air compress system was used to give pressure to the interface. Specimens were prepared in various ways to generate different surface conditions for each type of interface. Increasing interfacial pressure, decreasing surface roughness and spreading oil over surfaces improve the AC interfacial dielectric strength. Especially, the dielectric strength was saturated at certain interfacial pressure.

Development of Head Mounted Display Interface System for Controlling Wireless Capsule Endoscope (무선 캡슐내시경 조종을 위한 머리부착형 디스플레이 인터페이스 시스템의 개발)

  • The present study proposed a new interface system for capsule endoscopy by using head mounted display (HMD) device, which can control the orientation of the capsule endoscope with electromagnetic actuator (EMA) system. The orientation information of the HMD user was detected by the gyroscope sensor built into the device and then calculated to as an angle increment using Unity Engine compiler. The measured angle changes from the HMD were converted to the current values of the corresponding coils to be changed in the EMA system. Two experiments were designed to measure the accuracy and the intuitiveness of the HMD interface system. In the angle accuracy measurement, the capsule endoscope driven by HMD interface system showed the averaged errors of 0.68 degrees horizontally and 1.001 degrees vertically for given test angles. In the intuitiveness measurement, HMD interface system showed 1.33 times faster manipulation speed rather than the joystick interface system. In this respect, the HMD interface system for capsule endoscopy was expected to improve the overall diagnostic environment while maintaining comfort of patients and clinicians.

  • An interface system was developed to offer the welding capability to a robot controller which had not any embedded function for arc welding before, and also an arc sensor algorithm was proposed for weld seam tracking of the welding robot. For the interface system between the robot controller and welding equipments, data communication software and interface connections were composed. The interface system was mae to correspond welding condition, correction data, operation sequence and current status with the robot controller by mutual had shaking and digital signal transfer. Graphic user interface program developed under the environment of windows made it easy to monitor data communication and operation status, and to control welding and sensing sequence. Arc sensing algorithm proposed in this study to compensate torch position error was based on a fuzzy logic with the variables of current difference and current differenced change at torch weaving extremities. The developed interface system could be successfully implemented in between welding equipments and the robot controller, and showed normal status and exact function in data and signal communication between the systems. The whole robot welding system was then examined to verify its welding and seam tracking capabilities in horizontal fillet, vertical fillet, and 3-dimensional fillet weldment. The experiments revealed sound weld bead shapes and also good seam tracing results.
