  • Recently, the size of semiconductor industry market is constantly growing, due to the increase in diffusion of smart-phone, tablet PC and SSD(Solid State Drive). Also, it is expected that the demand for TLC NAND-type flash memory would gradually increase, with the recent release of TLC NAND-type flash memory in the SSD market. There have been a lot of studies on SLC NAND flash memory, but no research on TLC NAND flash memory has been conducted, yet. Also, a test of NAND-type flash memory is depending on a high-priced external equipment. Therefore, this study aims to suggest a structure for an autonomous test with no high-priced external test device by modifying the existing SLC NAND flash memory and MLC NAND flash memory test algorithms and patterns and applying them to TLC NAND flash memory.

The Effect of Treponema Denticola and Treponema Lecithinolyticum on Periodontal Ligament Cells (Treponema Denticola와 Treponema Lecithinolyticum이 치주인대세포에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was investigated to observe the effect of Treponema denticola(TDC) and Treponema lecithinolyticum(TLC) on cultured human periodontal ligament cells. Several experiments were performed including MTT test for the inhibition effect of cell proliferation, LDH test for the cytotoxicity , gelatin zymography for the gelatinase activation and observation of cell morphology change using the phase-contrast microscopy. The results were as follows. 1. The effect of concentration on cell proliferation with time showed an inhibitory effect at high concentration $(150{\mu}g/well)$ for TLC and at low concentration( $9.4{\mu}gwell$ ) for TDC. 2. The effect of time on cell proliferation with concentration showed an inhibitory effect at $150{\mu}g/well$ on 2-day incubation for TLC and at $9.4{\mu}g/well$ on 2-day incubation for TDC. 3. The effect of heat-treated TDC and TLC on the inhibition of cell proliferation showed the difference in the heat-treated group compared to the non-heat treated group for TDC, whereas no difference was found for TLC. 4. The morphological changes which were observed from the phase-contrast microscopy showed the difference in the test group compared to the control group. The loss of spindle-like appearance, cell-to-cell detachment and inhibition of cell proliferation were observed. 5. There was no difference of the cytotoxicity effect between the test group and the control group in the LDH test. 6. The active form of progelatinase A with molecular weight 72kDa was activated in both TDC and TLC on the gelatin zymography. Regarding to the above results, TDC and TLC have an effect on periodontal ligament cells by playing an inhibitory role in cell proliferation and appears to activate progelatinase A which degrades type IV collagen.

  • 최근 메모리 반도체 시장은 SD(Secure Digital) 메모리 카드, SSD(Solid State Drive)등의 보급률 증가로 메모리 반도체의 시장이 대규모로 증가하고 있다. 메모리 반도체는 개인용 컴퓨터 뿐만 아니라 스마프폰, 테플릿 PC, 교육용 임베디드 보드 등 다양한 산업에서 이용 되고 있다. 또한 메모리 반도체 생산 업체가 대규모로 메모리 반도체 산업에 투자하면서 메모리 반도체 시장은 대규모로 성장되었다. 플래시 메모리는 크게 NAND-Type과 NOR-Type으로 나뉘며 플로팅 게이트 셀의 전압의 따라 SLC(Single Level Cell)과 MLC(Multi Level Cell) 그리고 TLC(Triple Level Cell)로 구분 된다. SLC 및 MLC NAND-Type 플래시 메모리는 많은 연구가 진행되고 이용되고 있지만, TLC NAND-Tpye 플래시 메모리는 많은 연구가 진행되고 있지 않다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 제안된 SLC 및 MLC NAND-Type 플래시 메모리에서 제안된 큐브 패턴을 TLC NAND-Type 플래시 메모리에서 적용 가능한 큐브 패턴 및 알고리즘을 제안한다.

  • This study was undertaken to determined the sulfamethazine residues In urine, serum and muscle of slaughtered pigs(n: 230) by the method of TLC, EEC-4-plate and HPLC. 1. Inhibition diameter characteristics of reference bacterial substance by EEC-4-plate method and antibacterial inhibition zone was appeared sulfonamides in BS pH 7.2 2. Residual sulfamethazine was detceted from 7 serum(3.04%) and 10 urine(4.35%) by TLC test and concentration of residues was higher In urine than serum. 3. Residual sulfamethazine was detected from 9 muscle(3.91%) by EEC-4-plate method. 4. Positive samples by TLC test and EEC-4-plate method were exceed 0.1ppm quantitative analysis from 7 muscle(3.04%).

  • Antibiotic residues of raw milks collected in Anyang area were tested by TTC-reduction test, EEC-4plate method and TLC(SOS-kit ) method to improve and monitor the quality of milk. Antibiotic substances were not detected from 100 raw milk samples, but sulfamethazine was detected from only one sample(1.3PPM) by SOS test. Unclassified anti-microbic substances were detected from 22 samples by EEC-4 plate method. EEC-4 plate test was useful to categorize the species of antibacterial substances and SOS test was useful to detect the sulfamethazine field screening test.

Accuracy of Spirometry at Predicting Restrictive Pulmonary Impairment (제한성 환기장애의 진단에서 폐활량검사의 정확성)

  • Background : Low spirometric forced vital capacity(FVC) in conjunction with a normal or high ratio of the forced expiratory volume at 1 second to the forced vital capacity($FEV_1$/FVC%) has traditionally been classified as a restrictive abnormality. However, the gold-standard diagnosis of a restrictive pulmonary impairment requires a measurement of the total lung capacity (TLC). This study was performed to determine the predictive value of spirometric measurements of the FVC for diagnosing a restrictive pulmonary abnormality. Methods : Test results from 1,371 adult patients who undertook both spirometry and lung volume measurements on the same visit from January 1999 to December 2000 were enrolled in this study. The test values for the FVC, the TLC that was below 80% of predicted value, and a $FEV_1$/FVC% that was below 70%, were classified as being abnormal. Results : Of the 1,371 patients, 353 patients had a reduced a FVC. Of these patients, 186 patients had a reduced TLC. Therefore, the positive predictive value was 52.7%. Of the 196 patients with a normal $FEV_1$/FVC% and a reduced FVC, 148(75.5%) patients had a lower TLC. Thirty eight (24.2%) patients out of 157 patients with a low $FEV_1$/FVC% and a low FVC showed a restrictive defect. Conclusion : Spirometry is useful to rule out a restrictive pulmonary abnormality, but a restrictive pattern on the spirometry dose not mean there is a true restrictive disease. For the patients with a low FVC, TLC measurements are essential for diagnosing a restrictive pulmonary impairment.

The Effect of Sonicated Extracts of Treponema Denticola and Treponema Lecithinolyticum on the Cytokine Secretion and Matrix Metalloproteinase Activation of Gingival Fibroblast (Treponema denticola와 Treponema lecithinolyticum의 분쇄액이 치은섬유아세포의 Cytokine 분비 및 Matrix metalloproteinase 활성에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was investigated to observe the effect of Treponema denticola cell sonicates(TDC) and Treponema lecithinolyticum cell sonicates(TLC) on cytokine secretion and matix metalloproteinase-2(MMP-2) activation of cultured human gingival fibroblast. Several experiments were performed including $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6 ELISA for the effect on the $IL-1{\beta}$, IL-6 secretion of human gingival fibroblast. Also gelatinase zymography and gelatin dissolubility test for the activation of MMP-2 secreted by gingival fibroblast. The results were as follows. 1. The effect of TDC and TLC on IL-6 secretion of human gingival fibroblast showed statistically significant increase of IL-6 secretion in the TDC and TLC treated group compared to no treatment group(p<0.05) . 2. The amount of $IL-1{\beta}$ secretion was below the lower limit and there was no difference in the $IL-1{\beta}$ secretion of gingival fibroblast between TDC, TLC treated group and no treatment group. 3. The active form of pro MMP-2 with 72 kDa molecular weight was activated in both TDC and TLC treated group and clear band was appeared at 62kDa site on the zymography. 4. Gelatin dissolubility of MMP-2 secreted by gingival fibroblast was higher in TDC and TLC treated group compared to no treatment group(p<0.05). 5. In the TDC treated group, serine protease of T. denticola affect gelatin dissolubility. But in the TLC treated group gelatin was degraded by only MMP secreted by gingival fibroblast. Regarding to the above results, TDC and TLC have an effect on the IL-6 secretion increase of human gingival fibroblast and appears to activate pro MMP-2 which degrades collagen.

  • This study was conducted to test antifungal activity and to separate bioactive compound using C. japonica extract which was shown the most effective control on the B. berengeriana, G. cingulata and P. expansum. $EC_{50}$ on the test pathogene of C. japonica extract was $400{\sim}500{\mu}g/mL$. Bioactive compound analyzed by TLC and HPLC method was identified as a kind of alkaloids, berberine, and the content was 81.14%.

  • After aconitine-type alkaloids have been isolated from the crude drug "Buza" as the precipitate, they could be identified with colour test, UV/Vis. absorption wavelength, TLC. The presence of aconitine-type alkaloids are confirmed by the reaction with the Reineke ion, $[Cr(NH_3)_2(SCN)_4]^{1+}$, and TCR ion, $[Co(SCN)4]^{2-}$, to produce the white precipitate or one of the containing from blue to yellowish blue. It is based on the formation of complex compounds by aconitine-type alkaloids with Reineke and TCR reagent. The method has been found to be simple, convenient and suitable for routine identification of aconitine-type alkaloids, related basic compounds, the crude drug "Buza" processed from the roots of certain Aconitum spp. plants(Ranunculaceae).

  • This study was carried out to utilize non-toxic solvents instead of harmful solvents for the TLC(Thin Layer Chromatography) identification test of herbal medicines. It is recommended not to use harmful solvent such as chloroform at a viewpoint of clean analysis. In this study, we revised the identification test of 10 items in the Korea Pharmacopoeia(KP) and the Korean Herbal Pharmacopoeia(KHP) such as Cornus officinalis S. containing the harmful solvents on the developing solvent and established identification test that is utilized non-toxic solvents by HPTLC(High Performance Thin Layer Chromatography).
