공과대학생의 일상적 창의성이 팀워크 역량에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Everyday Creativity on Teamwork Skills in Engineering Students)

  • Recently, the acquisition of teamwork skills as well as creativity has been a special challenge to engineering students. Also it became crucial for engineering educators to help them enhance effectively these skills. Thus, there has been a good deal of domestic and overseas research on teamwork skills and creativity. However, to date, there is relatively few studies analyzing two variables' relationships. This research aims to explore relationships between engineering students' teamwork skills and everyday creativity, and to suggest educational implications for future research and educational programs. For this purpose, this study was conducted with 450 engineering students at two universities in Korea, and their teamwork skills and everyday creativity have been measured. Our findings show that firstly, there were significant differences in teamwork skills by grade. Secondly, there were significant correlations among subcategories' variables of teamwork skills and everyday creativity. Thirdly, 35% of teamwork skills were explained by everyday creativity. Based on these findings, the theoretical and practical implications are discussed with particular attention to education for promoting teamwork skills.

공학계열 학생들의 팀웍 스킬과 성격 5요인과의 관계 연구 (A Study on Relationship Between Teamwork Skills and Big Five Personality Factors for Engineering Students)

  • This study had a purpose to analyze the relationship between teamwork skills and Big Five personality factors for engineering students. For the purpose, 43 engineering students attending engineering creative design course were organized 14 teams as NEO personality inventory testing before the course. The teamwork skills for engineering students was improved through engineering creative design course and the correlation between teamwork skills and personality factors for engineering students was low. The heterogeneous personality group had a more improvement in teamwork skills than homogeneous personality group but the effect of group difference was not statistically significant. Further, the result of this study were applied to change the design course and making the teams for improving teamwork skills for engineering students.

공과대학생의 팀워크 역량과 사고양식의 관계 (Relationships between Teamwork Skills and Thinking Styles in Engineering Students)

  • This research aims to explore the relationships between 'teamwork skills' (often called team activity competence) and 'thinking styles' of engineering students in Korea, and to provide an explanation for the application of team-based environment as well as for the increase of teamwork skills. Teams and team activity are pervasive in today's organization and there has been relatively much research on teamwork skills and its related factors. However, to date, little attention has been paid to the teamwork skills, essential factor in team-based environment and its relationships with thinking styles. This study was conducted with 383 engineering students at P University, and students' teamwork skills as well as thinking styles have been measured before and after team-based learning class (hereafter TBL). Our findings show that firstly, there was a significant increase of teamwork skills between before and after TBL class. Second, team activity competence was found to have a higher correlation with most of creativity generating styles (i.e. legislative, judicial, hierarchical and global styles). Third, hierarchical style was found to influence team activity more than other components, and also legislative, external, global and judicial styles contributed to team-based activity. These findings are expected to provide an explanation for the application of thinking styles in team-based environment and will be useful for the improvement of related courses in engineering school.

팀워크 능력 배양을 위한 팀 구성법 (Team Organizing Method for Developing Teamwork Skills)

  • This paper deals with the method how to organize a team that is effective for developing teamwork skills. In recent engineering education, classes requiring team activities are getting a lot according to the increase of the engineering design classes and PBL based teaching subjects. For an effective team activity, team organization is very important because the team has to have the enough man-power to perform the task need to be completed. Nevertheless, most of all classes that need team activities, team organization is considered a little. Thus, we could see the problems such as the conflict between team members and the lack of technical ability. To overcome the problems, we proposed MBTI based team organizing method that may improve teamwork skills of students.

PBL 기반 <토의> 수업 모형의 구현과 평가: 부산대학교 수업개발 사례를 중심으로 (Implementation and Evaluation of a Course: A Case Study of PBL Class at Pusan National University)

  • This paper aims to develop the learning contents of PBL based program and analyze the result of evaluation questionnaire to examine the students' thoughts concerning the effectiveness of PBL course and their satisfaction. 'Discussion' is one of the representative communicative types, especially requesting both communication competence and teamwork among team members. This study was conducted with 218 junior and senior students taking lectures of ${\ll}$Presentation and Debate Skills${\gg}$ in the college of engineering at Pusan National University. According to the evaluation result, students experienced various effects of PBL such as (1) self-directed learning, (2) cooperative learning, (3) problem solving skills, etc. Students pointed out also as merits of PBL course, (1) knowledge acquisition and information sharing among students, (2) improvement of communicative competence, (3) amelioration of teamwork, (4) progress of the problem solving skills. However, there have been several difficulties and problems during PBL process, implications for ameliorating PBL based were discussed and suggested in detail.

A Program for University Student's IT Leadership Renovation

  • In this paper, we propose a new program for university student's IT leadership renovation. Automation and Artificial Intelligence(AI) are changing the nature of work. According to MGI report, they will change the skills needed in the workforce. Leadership is one of the skills needed more of in the future at workplace including IT industry. Leadership could be defined as having 5 level leadership. According to the 5 level leadership, a program was formulated to renovate university student's self-leadership, teamwork, team leadership and finally global leadership. We named the program as Stepping-Stone Platform for Student's IT Leadership Renovation(SSP-SLR). Each level of four stepping stones consists of one semester. Student can raise their leadership skills by the program step by step. Various instruction learning methodologies are adopted to the program, including Flipped learning which has been proved effective in many ways in the field of education recently.

  • 정보통신의 발달과 기술의 개발은 세계를 국제화 및 지식정보화 사회로의 급격히 변화시키고 있다. 이에 따라 공과대학에서의 공학교육도 급변하는 추세에 발맞추어 국제적 인재 양성이라는 교육목표로의 수정을 요구받고 있다. 국제적으로 인정받는 인재라는 것은 팀에서의 팀원 및 리더로서의 역할을 수행할 수 있는 인재, 사회에서의 다양한 학제간의 융합에 부응할 수 있는 인재, 사회적 및 국제적 의사소통기술을 겸비한 인재, 전공에 있어서 기초 및 응용을 충분히 습득한 인재 등으로 요약된다. 따라서 본 연구는 이러한 인재양성을 위하여 공과대학의 저학년들을 위한 공학설계입문이라는 교과목을 개발하고자 한다. 공과대학 학생들을 위한 공학설계입문의 교과목 개발 목표는 창의적 설계 주제 연구를 통하여 팀웍기술 배양, 문제해결 능력 향상, 의사소통 기술 증진 및 공학에 대한 창의적 사고방식을 갖춘 국제적 인재양성을 목표로 하고 있다.

  • 본 연구에서는 체계적인 공학 설계 교육을 위한 입문 과정으로 개발된 '입문공학설계' 교과목의 내용과 운영 방식을 논의하였다. 이 교과목의 목적은 후속 설계 과목 학습에 필요한 기본 설계 소양을 갖추게 하고 공학에 대한 긍정적인 호기심을 자극하기 위한 것이다. 이를 위하여 본 수업은 학생들의 능동적인 참여로 이루어지는 수업을 기본 교수 방법으로 하여 창의적 사고 능력과 팀웍기술, 의사소통기술 배양을 위한 각종 설계 및 실습 과제를 개발하였다.

간호대학생과 병원간호사의 가상현실기반 환자안전을 위한 팀 의사소통과 팀워크 기술에 대한 교육요구의 차이: 혼합연구설계 (Nursing Students and Clinical Nurses' Awareness of Virtual Reality(VR) Simulation and Educational Needs of VR-based Team Communication and Teamwork Skills for Patient Safety: A Mixed Method Study)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 간호대학생과 간호사를 대상으로 가상현실기반 환자안전을 위한 의사소통과 팀워크 기술 교육요구를 파악하기 위함이다. 본 연구는 간호대학생 60명과 간호사 123명에게 질문지 조사를 시행하고, 간호사 14명에게 포커스 그룹 인터뷰를 시행한 혼합연구설계를 사용하였다. 자료 분석은 SPSS/WIN 25.0 및 포커스 그룹 인터뷰 후 귀납적 내용분석방법을 이용하였다. 연구결과는 대상자의 가상현실인식과 팀 의사소통 및 팀워크 기술 교육요구는 보통수준 이상이었고 간호대학생에서 가상현실인식과 교육요구가 더 높았다. 팀워크 지식은 보통수준으로 두 군 간에 유의한 차이가 없었다. 질적 자료 분석에서 간호사는 병원에서 의사 또는 타부서 직원과의 의사소통 어려움을 일으키는 4개 주제와 결과요인 2개 주제가 도출되었다. 본 연구는 대상자들의 가상현실에 대한 인식은 긍정적이었으며, 환자안전을 위해서 팀 의사소통과 팀워크 교육의 필요성을 보여주었다. 따라서 대상자들의 교육요구를 반영한 가상현실기반 시뮬레이션 프로그램을 개발하여 간호대학생과 간호사에게 요구되는 환자안전을 위한 팀 의사소통과 팀워크 기술 역량을 향상할 필요가 있다.

스타트업 팀워크와 성과: 과업 갈등과 관계 갈등의 영향을 중심으로 (Startup Teamwork and Performance Research: the Impact of Task Conflict and Relationship Conflict)

  • 스타트업은 공동의 목표를 가지고 소수의 전문가들이 모여서 한정된 자원을 이용하여 창의석인 성과를 달성하는 소규모 조직이다. 실제 스타트업 환경에서 빈번하게 발생하는 갈등을 과업 갈등과 관계 갈등으로 구분하고, 팀워크에 미치는 영향을 긍정과 부정으로 나누어 연구 모형을 설계하였다. 팀워크의 요소로는 의사소통, 협업, 업무조정과 응집력을 설정하였으며 최종적으로 스타트업 팀의 성과에 미치는 개별 구성요소의 영향력을 검증하였다. 스타트업 팀 142개를 대상으로 설문조사를 통해 데이터를 수집하고 PLS를 이용하여 통계적으로 분석하였다. 구조모형 검증 결과, 과업 갈등은 팀워크에 긍정적인 영향을, 관계 갈등은 팀워크의 일부 요소에 부정적인 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 팀워크 중 의사소통을 제외한 협업, 업무조정, 응집력은 팀의 성과를 높이는 효과를 가지고 있는 것으로 분석되었다. 이 결과를 바탕으로 스타트업 조직의 리더 또는 관리자와 구성원을 위한 조직 운영 방안을 제시하고, 이론적 기여점을 서술하였다.
