[ $^7Li$ ]Magic Angle Spinning (MAS) NMR spectroscopy has been used to study the lithium local environments in $Li_4P_2O_7$ and$LiFePO_4$ materials. The purpose of this study was to know the structure of the solid electrolyte interphase (SEI) in lithium ion cells composed of $LiFePO_4$ as cathode material. $Li_4P_2O_7$ and $LiFePO_4$ were prepared by a solid-state reaction. The $^7Li$ MAS NMR experiments were carried out at variable temperatures in order to observe the local structure changes at the temperatures in $Li_4P_2O_7$ system. The $^7Li$ MAS NMR spectra of in $Li_4P_2O_7$ indicate that the lithium local environments in $Li_4P_2O_7$ were not changed in the temperature range between $27^{\circ}C$ and $97^{\circ}C$ Through this work, we confirmed that the small amount of $Li_4P_2O_7$ less than 5.0 wt% in $LiFePO_4$ could be clearly measured by the $^7Li$ MAS NMR spectroscopy at high spinning rate over than 11 kHz.

Single crystal $CdGa_2Se_4$ layers were grown on a thoroughly etched semi-insulating GaAs(100) substrate at $420^{\circ}C$ with the hot wall epitaxy(HWE) system by evaporating the polycrystal source of $CdGa_2Se_4$ at $630^{\circ}C$. The crystalline structure of the single crystal thin films was investigated by the photoluminescence and double crystal X-ray diffraction(DCXD). The carrier density and mobility of single crystal $CdGa_2Se_4$ thin films measured with Hall effect by van der Pauw method are $8.27{\times}10^{17}cm^{-3},\;345cm^2/V{\cdot}s$ at 293 K, respectively. The photocurrent and the absorption spectra of $CdGa_2Se_4/SI$(Semi-Insulated) GaAs(100) are measured ranging from 293 K to 10 K. The temperature dependence of the energy band gap of the $CdGa_2Se_4$ obtained from the absorption spectra was well described by the Varshni's relation $E_g(T)=2.6400eV-(7.721{\times}10^{-4}eV/K)T^2/(T+399K)$. Using the photocurrent spectra and the Hopfield quasicubic model, the crystal field energy(${\Delta}cr$) and the spin-orbit splitting energy(${\Delta}so$) far the valence band of the $CdGa_2Se_4$ have been estimated to be 106.5 meV and 418.9 meV at 10 K, respectively. The three photocurrent peaks observed at 10 K are ascribed to the $A_{1^-},\;B_{1^-},\;and\;C_{11}-exciton$ peaks.

In this study, we investigated morphological characteristics of $SF_6$ clathrate hydrate crystals to understand its formation and growth mechanism. $SF_6$ clathrate hydrate crystals were formed in high-pressure reaction cell charged with pure water and $SF_6$ gas at constant pressure and temperature. Two-phase ($SF_6$ gas/aqueous solution) and three-phase ($SF_6$ gas/aqueous solution/$SF_6$ liquid) conditions were investigated, In both conditions, dendritic shape hydrate crystals were grown as like fibriform crystals along upward growth direction at the gas/aqueous solution interface. In the case of the reaction process of three-phase condition, when the $SF_6$ gas bubbles which were generated in $SF_6$ liquid phase due to the reduction of reaction cell pressure stuck to the gas/aqueous interfaces, the hydrate phase were appeared at the surface of the bubbles. This paper presents the detail growth characteristics of $SF_6$ hydrate crystals including crystal nucleation, migration, growth and interference.

In this study, spherical monodispersed cerium-doped yttrium aluminum garnet (YAG : $Ce^{3+}$) phosphor particles were synthesized via homogeneous precipitation method using the mixed solution of yttrium nitrate, cerium nitrate, aluminum nitrate, ammonium aluminum sulfate, and urea as a precipitant. During the process of precursors of monodispersed YAG : $Ce^{3+}$, aluminum ions which form spherical aluminum compounds precipitated first and yttrium compounds precipitated onto the surface of the existing spherical aluminum compounds. Drying process using lyophilization could obtain monodispered spherical YAG : $Ce^{3+}$ particles compare to using oven. The thermal calcination process of YAG : $Ce^{3+}$ precursors under the temperature of $1200^{\circ}C$ for 6 h was enough to obtain 400~500 nm sized YAG particles with pure YAG phase.

Lightweight geopolymers were fabricated with non-milled IGCC slag and Si sludge as a bloating material. The relationship between addition amount of Si sludge and physical/chemical properties of lightweight geopolymers was investigated. When the geopolymers were made by mixing IGCC slag, alkali activator, and more than 10 wt.% Si sludge, the temperature of the geopolymer pastes reached higher than 130℃ in a few minutes. This exothermic reaction accelerated the geopolymer reaction; however, it was difficult to make geopolymer specimens because of a rapid bloating reaction. Both compressive strength and density of the specimens tend to decrease with an addition of Si sludge; however, there was little difference in both compressive strength and density with addition of Si sludge more than 10 wt.%. Because there was a limit to get low density geopolymers by simply increasing the addition of Si sludge, the control of pore size and distribution of geopolymer is more important by controlling flow rate of the paste through the control of W/S ratio. Therefore, it is important to control process conditions, appropriate W/S ratio for the bloating than the control of Si sludge. The optimum W/S ratio was 0.20 for the addition of Si sludge less than 30 wt.% and W/S ratio should be more than 0.28 for the addition of Si sludge more than 30 wt.%, although there was no practical application in fact.

The purpose of this study was to demonstrate the effect of music therapy as a nursing intervention on changes in recovery of consciousness and vital signs for postoperative patients in the recovery room. The subject for this study were fifty three of postoperative patients who were transferred from the OR to the RR at Kwangju Christian Hospital in Kwangju City. Thirty of them were assigned to the experimental group, and twenty three, to the control group. The age of the subject was between twenty and sixty years of age. The subject had a general anesthesia without any special complications, and they were not completely awake. The data were collected for six months from July 1999 to February 2000. The method used was to compare the condition of the subjects in each group at the beginning and at certain times repeatedly. The features observed were the level of consciousness, the frequency of complaints of pain, and vital signs of the subject before and 15 minutes, 30 minutes, and 60 minutes after hearing their favorite music for 30 minutes. The results are as follows 1. The recovery of consciousness was revealed through significant changes in facial expression, facial color, and grip strength in the experimental group more strongly than in the control group. No significant changes were shown in verbal order. The differences in recovery of consciousness in the pre-post music therapy between the two groups was not significant in verbal order, facial expression, or grip strength. However, significant changes were seen in facial color. 2. There were no significant differences between the two groups in changes in the frequency of pain complaints after music therapy. However, a significant difference was shown in the pre-post music therapy scres. 3. Vital signs did not show a significant difference between the two groups. However, the $SPO_2$ of the experimental group was significantly elevated after 60 minutes. The difference pre-post to the music therapy in the vital signs between two groups was significant only in body temperature. This study showed that the effect of music therapy given to postoperative patients is that it promotes changes in facial expression, facial color, and grip strength helping recovery of consciousness, stabilizing vital signs, elevating levels of $SPO_2$. and reducing complaints of pain. It is recommended that if the patient wants it music therapy be given right after surgery in the recovery room as a nursing intervention.
Spalling of concrete occurs due to vapor pressure ignited explosion, temperature difference across a section, and combination of these factors. Factors affecting spalling can be classified into internal and external factors such as material property and environmental condition, respectively, have to be considered to precisely understand spalling behavior. An external environmental factor such as differences in heating rate cause internal humidity cohesion and different vapor pressure behavior. Therefore, spalling property, vapor pressure and thermal strain property were measured from concrete with compressive strengths of 30 MPa, 50 MPa, 70 MPa, 90 MPa, and 110 MPa, applied with ISO-834 standard heating curve of $1^{\circ}C/min$ heating rate. The experimental results showed that spalling occurred when rapid heating condition was applied. Also, when concrete strength was higher, the more cross section loss from spalling occurred. Also, spalling property is influenced by first pressure cancellation effect of thermal expansion caused by vapor pressure and heating rates.
Porous ceramics for water-permeable paving brick was prepared by the sintering of mixed materials comprising of sewage sludge ash, waste porcelain fragment, waste glaze and low-grade clay at 1,000$^{\circ}C$ for 2 h, and the physical $.$mechanical properties, the permeability and the freeze-thaw resistance of specimens with preparation parameters were investigated. The physical mechanical properties were increased in specimens while porosity and permeability were decreased with increasing sewage sludge ash content and sintering temperature on the properties of specimens showed the opposite results. The bulk density, porosity, compressive strength and permeability (passed charge) of 30A60F specimens with 30 wt% of sewage sludge ash content, waste porcelain fragment size with 1∼2 mm and sintered at 1,000$^{\circ}C$ for 2 h were 2.17, 46.2%, 221 kgf/$\textrm{cm}^2$ and 3,150 coulombs, respectively. The permeability was increased with increasing waste porcelain fragment size, however compressive strength was decreased. The freeze-thaw resistance of 30A60F specimen with 1∼2 mm of fragment size was superior to that of the other specimens. The 30A60F specimens can be used for the water-permeable paving brick with the high permeability and adequate strength. The heavy metals included in the all specimens showed lower than the standard level.
ZrO2 powders stabilized with Y2O3 and CeO2 of various compositions were prepared by the coprecipitation of water-soluble ZrOCl2.8H2O, YCl3.6H2O and Ce(NO3)3.6H2O, and their compacts were pressurelessly sintered at 1400 and 150$0^{\circ}C$ for 2hrs in air. 2mol% Y2O3-ZrO3 showed the most superior strength (1003MPa) and microhardness (12.6GPa), while 10 mol%CeO2-ZrO2 had the hightest toughness (13.3 MPa.m1/2) after sintering at 140$0^{\circ}C$. The addition of Y2O3 into Y2O3-ZrO3 decreased mean grain size and increased strength and hardness but decrease toughness. On the other hand, the addition of CeO2 into Y2O3-ZrO2 enhanced the stability of tetragonal phase during low-temperature aging for a long time under hydrothermal atmosphere.
Stabilization behavior of Cr, Cd, Cu, Pb, Fe and Zn heavy metals in the EAF dust was investigated by adding EAF dust to clay or white clay, respectively, up to 50 wt% with 10 wt% intervals and sintering at temperatures between 200 and $1200^{\circ}C$ with $200^{\circ}C$ intervals with an aid of ICP-AES followed by TCLP test to evaluate heavy metal cation exchange capacity of the clay or the white clay. The clay or the white clay had a better Cr ion exchange capacity than that of zeolite. The TCLP leaching test for the sintered specimens showed that Cr and Fe were rarely detected for all the specimens and the concentration of Cd and Zn decreased with increasing sintering temperature and decreasing EAF dust contents respectively. When the clay or the white clay were mixed with EAF dust, cation exchange may occur between the clay and the EAF dust so that the first stabilization of the mixtures containing semistabilized heavy metals may happen. Stabilization of heavy metals in the ceramic bodies was further completed probably due to the eutectic reaction caused by the sintering of semi-stabilized mixtures. It was conceivable that the white clay rather than the clay may be a better stabilizer for the EAF dust containing heavy metals.
