Following natural disasters, there is a need to develop temporary housing through the rapid installation of mass-produced prefabricated housing. This study has developed a model construction manual for prefabricated temporary housing installable in underground spaces. First, the temporary housing prototype was drawn based on opinion poll results from earlier studies. $4.32m^2$ was calculated as the basic unit of the temporary housing living space for one person. Units included panel type, box type and mixed-type, for a variety of field conditions and scales. In order to enable space expansion and movement desirable to the user, the prototype was combination of panel and box types. The drawn prototype was utilized as the basic design template for producing prototypes and for the manual. Second, the possibility of utilizing subway stations as temporary housing was verified through the production of the prototype, and the construction process was summarized in the manual. The manual was developed in the form of a checklist to provide a guideline for users to build with prefab materials.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the types and characteristics of space construction in temporary small-sized housing for single-person household through the understanding and interpretation of the modern flexible lifestyle. A document research method and case studies were used to analyze and classified the spatial characteristics of temporary dwelling spaces since 2000. Findings of the study were as follows: In order to conform the concept of temporary dwelling for small-sized housing units of single-person households, the types and characteristics of space construction were divided into three aspects: (1) 'Transporting' by wheel, rotation and vehicles, (2) 'Transforming' by adapting, assembling disassembling, and folding unfolding, (3) 'Wearing Carrying' by inflatable and tented type. In conclusion, this study found two types of space construction in temporary small-sized housing. The first was 'formal aspect' which was focused on the simplicity of shape, ease of deformation and lightweight of materials. And the second was 'functional aspect' which was focused on the complex space composition, the rapidity of installation and dismantling, ease of movement and transportation. This study shows that the combination of two types of the temporality will be more ideal in temporary small-sized housing planning rather than relying on just one type.

국내에서도 홍수, 지진, 산사태, 화재 등의 다양한 재난재해로 인하여 이재민이 발생하고 있으며, 이 중 대다수가 이재민 임시주거시설로 대피하고 있다. 그러나 이재민 임시주거시설 내에서 개인공간을 확보할 수 있는 실내 임시주거시설의 배치와 성능에 관한 계획은 미비하다. 이에 이재민 임시주거시설 내 거주환경을 개선하기 위하여, 국민안전처에서 지정한 1인당 최소 수용면적 $3.3m^2$로 실내 임시주거시설의 모듈을 구축, 모듈의 배치계획을 진행하였으며, 실내 임시주거시설의 형태, 재료, 성능에 대한 평가 방향을 제시하였다.

연구목적: 본 연구는 실내 외 임시주거시설의 사례분석을 통해 실용성 향상을 위한 개선방안을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. 연구방법: 첫째 선행연구 분석을 통해 실내 외 임시주거시설의 기본적인 성능, 형태에 대해 고찰하였다. 둘째 실내 외 임시주거시설의 사례분석을 통해 실용성측면의 문제점을 도출하였다. 셋째 도출된 문제점을 바탕으로 실내 외 임시주거시설의 실용성을 확보하기 위한 개선방안을 제시하였다. 연구결과: 실내 외 임시주거시설에서 궁극적으로 개선해야 할 거주성, 경제성, 시공성, 운용방안이라는 요소를 도출하였고 이를 생애주기에 따른 제작단계, 운반단계, 설치단계, 보관단계로 구분하여 각각의 단계에서 실용성 향상을 위해 개선해야 할 사항을 제시하였다. 결론: 본 연구를 통해 제시한 개선사항을 적용한다면 실용성이 향상된 실내 외 임시주거시설의 개발에 도움이 될 것으로 사료된다.

The artillery fire accident in Yeonpyeong Island showed that the man-made disaster caused by the domestic political conditions as well as the conventional natural disaster can occur in Korea. Especially, it can be known that the whole community can be abandoned despite of a small scale of practical damage in residential district and the resulting large scale of refugees can be produced in the nation. This study investigated the real condition of temporary housing which has been provided at the Island. Firstly, in the theoretical review based on the literature study, the content on the background of temporary housing, the providing procedure of its concept, the status of supply, etc. has been considered. And it researched the current condition of the entire temporary housing through the questionnaire and interviews targeting the residents in the Island. So it purposed to make use of the results as a plan and design for future temporary housing against disaster.

In South Korea, a certain number of temporary housings are pre-produced and stored in a warehouse, which are later relocated and installed in the areas damaged by disasters. Through the supply of temporary housings upon the occurrence of a disaster, disaster victims are able to rapidly go back to their everyday lives, and the social confusion formed after the occurrence of a disaster is reduced. Although temporary housings can be used for various purposes, they are currently being used only for helping disaster victims and are thus facing the difficulty of continuing technology development due to their low marketability. To increase the use of temporary housings, this study was conducted to formulate a plan for the recycled use of temporary housings in non-disaster situations. This study intended to open wide the possibility of operating temporary housings regardless of the type, period, and scale of the disaster, and to propose a plan for the reuse of temporary housings in non-disaster situations.

Purpose: This is a study on the planning of temporary housing for post application of Mega Sports facilities. The subject of the study is 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics, which is to suggest building an alternative temporary housing using shipping containers(high cube), which solve the lack of accommodations and recycle temporary housing after Olympics, save money and be eco-friendly in Olympics. Method: This study includes this ; research on the a fact-finding survey about Mega sports facilities post application and demand survey on 2018 Pyeongchang Winter Olympics accomodations and an analysis about temporary housing plan. Furthermore we decided temporary housing building plan by analyzing residents' needs and traits of the housing etc. Through this, we made a schematic design for household units. Result: As a result, this study is a plan of making space, forms, and structure. The planned size is $38.4m^2$(L:12m, W:3.2m) except balcony, and indoor height is 2.5m. The space consists of entrance, bathroom, bedroom and living room with folding furniture system. Also there's a detailed floor plan of the ceiling, wall, and floor we drew up. The ceiling and wall consist of dampproof film, noncombustible board, fire proof urethane form, and color-designed sheet. The floor is composed of floor tile, cement mortar, light concrete(with heat coil), insulation, and dampproof film. Additionally, this study is a plan of interior dry wall with detail using modular construction method for work efficiency and quality improvement.

When disasters happen specially in islands, we have a lot of problems of 'managing many workers and heavy equipments because of bad weather', 'being hard to offer, transport and install container-houses as temporary housing', 'being hard to store and use again after disassembling', too. More serious problems come from bad conditions that more and more people leave the islands and only old people live there, moreover, islands get easy to be isolated by inclement weather. So the purpose of this research is to develop and design emergency housing for sufferers which is light, efficient to be stored, easy to transport and build in disasters by resolving such problems, after rethinking the concept of temporary housing. Also, this research intends to suggest the concept of 'emergency housing'. The process of this research includes selection of architectural materials, experiments, constructional simulation, design and building test.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the factors negatively affecting college life, to investigate the perception gap between housing types, and to generate preliminary data for increasing residential satisfaction of students who live in temporary housing(e.g., dormitory or one-room). The utilized research methods included a questionnaire survey and an in-depth interview. The college students, especially from other regions, experienced more financial difficulties than others. They managed their tuition and living expense/allowance by parents supports and other sources(e.g., scholarship, arbeit, work in college, loan etc.). The reasons to choose dormitory, as temporary housing, were short distance to college and low costs. In case of one room, independent life was main reason to choose. Gender differences affected to the decision, moving away from present temporary housing. For example, male students preferred an independent life and a short commuting distance, while female students preferred an independent life and a safe life. Thus, considering the origin and gender differences of residents, dormitory planning needed to develop plans allowing independent life and to choose appropriate site for the purpose. In case of planning one room apartment, concerns for safety and landscape were more important than other factors.
