This study was conducted to develop and test the hypothetical model which explains smoking cessation behavior was established based on the Triandis' interpersonal behavior theory. Method: The data were collected from the 400 university student smokers enrolled in the universities located in Seoul and Kyung-In province. The study was analyzed by path analysis with LIESREL 8 program. Results: All of the fit statistics, except the Chi-square value, it showed the hypothetical model was well fitted to the data. Benefit, affect, and social influences related to smoking cessation behavior had significant direct effect on intention to smoking cessation as shown in the study of the hypothetical model. Perceived barrier and the physiologic arousal related to smoking cessation had significant direct effects on performing smoking cessation behavior, whereas numbers of previous attempts to quit smoking and intention to smoking cessation did not.
Incidental envy influences behavior in various domains. However, no research, to date, has investigated whether incidental envy influences interpersonal behavior toward others who are unrelated to the emergence of the emotion. That is, the literature is silent on how those who experience incidental envy engage in interpersonal contact and how this may affect consumers. In this paper, we address this question by investigating the influence of incidental envy on interpersonal contact with others of higher or lower status based on the social comparison theory. We demonstrate that incidental envy (versus a neutral emotion) motivates people to contact higher status others to facilitate upward assimilation (experiments 1 and 2). We also show that when competition (a situational factor that heightens the personal relevance of the interaction with the target) is involved, individuals who feel envy (versus a neutral emotion) are more likely to contact lower status others to engage in downward contrast (experiment 3). We conclude with a discussion of the practical implications of our findings.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of a group counseling program based on goal attainment theory on self-esteem, interpersonal relationships, and school adjustment of middle school students with emotional and behavioral problems. Methods: Forty-four middle school students with emotional and behavioral problems (22 in the experimental group and 22 in the control group) from G city participated in this study. Data were collected from July 30 to September 24, 2015. The experimental group received the 8-session program, scheduled once a week, with each session lasting 45 minutes. Outcome variables included self-esteem, interpersonal relationship, and school adjustment. Results: There were significant increases for self-esteem (t=3.69, p=.001), interpersonal relationship (t=8.88, p<.001), and school adjustment (t=4.92, p<.001) in the experimental group compared to the control group. Conclusion: These results indicate that the group counseling program based on goal attainment theory is very effective in increasing self-esteem, interpersonal relationship, and school adjustment for middle school students with emotional and behavioral problems. Therefore, it is recommended that the group counseling program based on goal attainment theory be used as an effective psychiatric nursing intervention for mental health promotion and the prevention of mental illness in adolescents.
This study attempted to develop a scale that Interpersonal Caring Behavior Measurement Tool, based on Kim's Interpersonal caring theory, and confirmed its reliability and validity. The items were used as 50 items of 10 concepts based on the Su-ji Kim's interpersonal care theory in Korea developed by Seon-hee Yun. Subjects were nurses working at a general hospital or higher, who agreed to participate in this study. As a result of the study, 50 questions in 10 concepts of the first were derived from active listening, accepting, complimenting, noticing, and companioning through exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, and criterion validity and reliability were verified. This tool is meaningful in that it can measure Caring Behavior from the perspective of the subject and family, and can be used as an index to visualize the quality improvement of nursing care by quantifying it.

Human being can be defined in several ways. These are biological, psychological, social and religious, ethical and philosophical aspects. The first two viewpoints refers to the intrapersonal aspects and the last two viewpoints deals with the interpersonal aspects. There have been numerous thoeries and hypotheses to explain the human behavior and psychopathology, but the author does not find any theory or hypothesis to integrate the biological and psychological viewpoints. In addition, The author does not find any theory to integrate the intrapersonal and interpersonal aspects in interpersonal relationships. Thus, the author proposed one model to explain the human behavior. In proposing this theory, the author has the following hypotheses:1) All human being can not exist by oneself. 2) The ultimate goal of all human being is to achieve 'Survival'. 3) There are four kinds of survivals and they are biological, psychological, social and religious, ethical and philosophical survivals. 4) Power and control are two prerequisites for survival and there are four kinds of power and control. 5) The four elements of power and control are biological, psychological, internal and external ones. 6) The conflict between buman being can also be explained in terms of power, control and survival. 7) Normality and abnormality of human behavior can be explained in terms of the harmony and balance among the powers and controls.

Recently, personal information leakage incidents with increased usage of mobile services are increasing. Personal information leakage incidents can have a significant impact on an individual's mobile banking services. Accordingly, we examine relationships among individual's psychological characteristics, intention and behavior regarding compliance in an individual's perception on personal information leakage incidents in mobile banking contexts. In this study, for explaining our research model and understanding with personal psychology and behavior in mobile banking contexts, we adopted two theories, theory of interpersonal behavior and stimulus-response theory. We collected the 55 data using online surveyor and then analyzed structural equation model in order to find causal relationships among research variables. The results of this study should be useful to the mobile banking services companies in promoting service users to follow the information privacy policies.
The purpose of this study is to identify the optimal model to explain safety behavioral intention according to the recognition of safety communication in cabin through comparison of Planned behavioral theory and Triandis' theory of interpersonal behavior. In order to accomplish the study purpose, research model and hypothesis were established based on the previous research. As a result of the analysis, it was found that attitude and Perceived Behavioral Control had a positive effect on the safety behavioral intention. Triandis theory shows that social factors and habits have a positive impact on safety behavioral intention. In addition, A comparison of the two models confirms that both psychological processes of recognition and emotion are accompanied by the relationship between safety information awareness and safety behavioral intention.
Purpose: The study investigates the moderating impact of interpersonal mindfulness (IM) on the link between perceived similarity (OPS), physical appearance (OPA), and suitable behavior (OSB) - three key factors of other consumer perception (OCP) and brand experience (BE) in distribution of OCP and brand. Research design, data, and methodology: This study collected data from 612 consumers at shopping malls. SmartPLS 3.3.9 software were used to assess the measurement model and structural model. Results: According to the study's findings, IM has a negative modality in the impact between BE and OPS, OPA, and OSB. That also demonstrates how distribution of OCP and brand can affect a person's brand experience. Conclusions: The distribution of OCP and IM interactions have a significant influence on the brand experience in brand distribution. The study's results show that IM including mindfulness will function as a moderator between perceived similarity, physical appearance, suitable behavior regarded proper by other consumers, and brand experiences; therefore, they impact to brand distribution. The findings give a foundation for further IM research and add to the brand distribution theory that already exists. The findings also have some managerial implications in brand distribution.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to develop and validate the Communication Behavior Scale for nurses caring for people with Dementia (CBS-D). Methods: Based on communication accommodation theory, the initial items were generated through a literature review and interviews with 20 experts. Content and face validity of the initial items were assessed. Data from 486 nurses caring for people with dementia were analyzed using item analysis, exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis, criterion-related validity, and internal consistency. Results: The final scale consisted of 18 items and four factors (discourse response management, interpersonal control, emotional expression, and interpretability) that explained 57.6% of the variance. Confirmatory factor analysis indicated that the theoretical model with 18 items satisfied all goodness-of-fit parameters. Criterion-related validity was shown by the Global Interpersonal Communication Competence Scale (r=.506, p<.001). Cronbach's alpha for the total scale was .88. Conclusion: The CBS-D can be used to measure the communication behavior of nurses caring for people with dementia.
Despite of continuous efforts to crack down on piracy using penalties and regulations, this unauthorized piracy market is still enormous. Since the moral hazard about this phenomenon is pervasive and continually upsets the major intellectual property markets, an alternative plan is required. The purpose of this study is to provide an objective insight for factors that affect people's digital video piracy behavior. The following two research propositions were the focus: what psychological factors affect piracy behavior and how are these factors related to one another? In order to accomplish the research aims, we reviewed literatures on the current state of piracy in South Korea, characteristics of digital contents, studies on criminal psychology and behavioral theories. Previous research in the fields of criminal theory indicated that neutralization, a form of rationalization, would help explain digital piracy intentions. Thus, this study developed a model that explains effects of neutralization techniques and tested the possibility of an integrated model with other behavioral theory such as TPB and TIB. Empirical results of the study(368 sample collected) showed that all the factors in TPB including Attitude to Piracy(+), Subjective Norm(-), Perceived Behavioral Control(+) had a significant impact on Piracy Intention. Moreover, two neutralization techniques, Condemn the Condemners(+) and Appeal to Higher Loyalties(+), had a significant effect on Piracy Intention. In addition, Past Behavior had strong impacts on Attitude(+), Perceived Behavioral Control(+) and Piracy Intention(+). In terms of Expected Profit, it had an impact on Attitude to Piracy positively. These findings suggest implications for protecting the current intellectual property markets, with many stakeholders in movies and media industries. There are some limitations as followed: first, the study did not consider other neutralization techniques, low level of deterrence and the other expected results despite the possibility of their effects. Second, the study needs improvements through longitudinal research because the cross-sectional research could not rule out the alternative explanations.
